Nope. U.S. too. Check Zzounds, Musicians Friend, Amazon, etc...

Both went up by$100. Same issue Fractal Audio is having? (tariff) So strange to see the price of a well established piece of gear go up with no improvememts or changes to the gear itself.

I emailed support about it. They said that's just how the looper works currently and that I should try the one switch looper instead. Not a glitch... Just kind of annoying and not at all practical. I went back to using an external looper (pigtronix infinity).

Hello. First off, I love the helix and it's new verbs (i'm on the 2.6 update). I play ambient/washy/spacy/post rock(y) music with a LOT of reverb. While i do really like the new verbs a lot, I have noticed that when they are cranked (~8.5 +) they tail can be a little choppy and harsh. I like reverb that hangs like a thick blooming mist in the air and slowly/smoothly decays. Is there a way to do this with the new verbs? It's almost as though you can hear individual "waves" of reverberation. I've been spoiled by Strymon and Eventide verbs that work as I "expect" out of the box. That being said, the Strmyon sound is getting on my nerves due to the fact that every ambient band out there is using it. It's instantly recognizable. So if I can get the Helix verbs to decay as smoothly as the Strymon units do but still have their own Helix(y) character, I will be in heaven. Thanks!

I have a Helix, which I absolutely love... BUT... I also have a giant pedalboard full of high end delays/reverbs/drives/etc that I also love. I find that I just use a couple of amp tones anyway but I use a TON of effects. Looking for a pedal that could hold just two models and two cabs at a time and a toggle switch to go back and forth between them. this way, you can still have the convenience of not having to lug an amp and a cab to a gig and still have great models with your own effects and drives. Is something like this out there that I'm just not aware of? I'm seen the Amplifire, but the tones on that have not really impressed me. (And please don't say "just use the pedals with the helix". That would mean having to lug two pedalbaords to a gig which is (to me) absolutely insane.)

TIPS on getting the FX Loop to sound full and robust?
JeremiahEdward replied to JeremiahEdward's topic in Helix
I figured out what's going on.... I ran it in both of the ways that you described and it still sound bad when I kicked turned the Loop/H9 on. Since the Verbs in the Helix are stereo, in my headphones they sound VERY wide and spacious. When I engaged the H9 that all went away. So, I put the FX Loop with the H9 in it before the Helix Verb and it sounds fine now. (I was originally running the H9 at the end of the signal chain) I think I was cutting a wide stereo tone down to mono every time I engaged the FX Loop. But mono H9 verb into Stereo Helix verb sounds excellent. -
TIPS on getting the FX Loop to sound full and robust?
JeremiahEdward replied to JeremiahEdward's topic in Helix
I am using this set up through headphones right now and haven't had a chance to check with an amp. When I engage the H9 it still sounds thin and hollow. I noticed that the "Hall" reverb in the Helix is only stereo.. it will not let me change it to mono. So I put a mono "Send" to the Helix and then ran stereo back from the H9 and then put the two returns directly after the send block. Still sounds AWFUL. With straight helix effects (send and return bypassed), it's a full, warm, beautiful, post rock bliss... When I engage the send/return blocks with the H9 (both on and off), it's jarringly bad. All the warmth and life is sucked out. I tried this and just got a horrible screeching noise: Helix Send 1 > h9 input 1 Helix Send 2 > h9 input 2 H9 Output 1 > Helix Return 1 H9 Output 2 > Helix Rerturn 2 I'm coming from an HD500X and still trying to incorporate my pedals. I plan on using this with a Fender Deluxe Reverb (Amp and Cab modeling OFF) for live situations and with headphones (Amp and Cab modeling ON) at home. Any suggestions here? -
I'm running an H9 in the effects loop of my Helix LT. I have notice that if I have a long delay and reverb in the Helix and I engage the effects loop (H9 is not active and is in relay bypass mode (true bypass)) the sound goes from 3 dimensional and full to 2 dimensional and flat. Does anyone wtih an H9 know how to set it up so that the fidelity of the blocks remains intact when the FX Loop is activated?

Can someone let me know if I"m doing this correctly? I'm getting a horrible shrieking/growling noise. I have a Helix Lt. A Bogner La Grange Overdrive An Eventide H9. this is my flow: Helix send 1 > La Grange input La Grange Output > Helix Return 1 Helix Send 2 > H9 Input H9 Output > Helix Return 2 I then add them to my signal flow inside the helix... I can add Fx loop 2 fine... (the H9) and it works great When I add FX Loop 1 (the La Grange) to the very beginning of my chain it immediately shrieks and overloads and sounds like an audio driver crashing if you've ever heard that.. Keep in mind... the La Grange is NOT on when this happens.. simply having it plugged in does this. Am I doing something wrong here?? Other than that, this thing is pretty freaken sweeeeeet.

Hello, I have a POD HD Pro X and I am thinking of using it live (have been using it in the "studio" (a closet sized bedroom that my fiance has banished me to)). I was looking at the FBV3. The bottom row of footswitches... can those be assigned to send midi commands or turn effects/amps (within the pod) on and off? I would like to use the bottom row of switches to switch between clean and dirty amps and turn my Eventide Space on/off (it will be in a rack). Thanks everyone.

That's what I would like. An updated "effects only" product.

+1... In addition to new models, I would also like to see new footswitches and a cleaner signal path. Basically, the footswitches/light rings of the firehawk would be an awesome addition. The M Series is looking QUITE dated at this point.

Does anyone else have the issue of the dim bypassed lights not working? For instance, when there is a delay assigned to a footswitch, it is brightly lit green when active, and dimly lit green when bypassed. My unit does not show any colored lights when bypassed. Only when engaged. So I have no idea what each footswitch does until I turn it on. If I engage that same footswitch, some fo the others light up (dimly) and varying colors... for instance, a few footswitches away from it will flash dimly red, then blue, then yellow etc. if I keep pressing any other switches (but they don't stay lit). A reset helped briefly, but it eventually display's the same behavior. I am running Firmware 2.00.

Is there enough room in the Helix bag for all 4 cables? (I plan to run mine 4cm into a tube amp)
-
Hello, I use a fender amp set up completely clean. No effects loop in it. I have just read that when using the effects loop in the pod you get a lot of tone loss. I was hoping that not using the pod effects loop I wouldn't have to worry about any tone loss. (Except normal loss from audio cables).
-
The tone suck in 4CM is WIDELY known with these units, but is there still tone suck if I just go Guitar > HD Input > HD Left Out > Front of amp (Fender 65 Deluxe). I don't have an HD500X right now, but I'm curious. I would only use it for effects and I don't want it to trash the wounderful sounds coming from my amp.

I was hoping to use the 11R for modeling and the Pod HD X for Effects. So just run the 11R out directly into the Pod.

Hello, I have a Pod Pro X that I would like to use for effects only after an Eleven Rack that I just picked up. What is the best way to connect the two together for no signal loss? I could go S/PDIF out from 11R to the Pod, or AES/EBU, Or I could just run one in the Effects loop of the other. Which one is the better way to go? I'm new to rack/recording stuff so I apologize if this is a simple question. Thanks.
