  1. First of all Where do you play? At home? Are you trying to record yourself? live gig? Rehearsal? Second When you use headphones connected to Helix do you ear bad sounds?
  2. This is an italian guitar player in a normal gig, no super stage. Only a small gig in outside a pub or a restaurant i don't know, but it's something that you could do too. Do you like his sound? no amp only Helix and Yamaha dbr 12 monitors. I think is a great sound. If He can do it...you can do it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXPHnJh7R8Y
  3. Yes could be the right one. It could be refined. Sometimes we have to think outside of the box Next sound i like very much is Phil X
  4. La comp->kwb-> Mesa EQ ->Ampeg SVT normal-> reverb room stereo in parallel to reverb Vintage digital stereo oops! I forgot the main Thing! I used a 3Sigma MArshall 4x12" IR Cab instead the stock cab.
  5. Only amp on rhythm guitar Other guitars LA comp and KWB in front of the amp The secret is a mesa boogie 5 band eq as mid boost on 750hz a good amount of boost on all guitars. Also without the Eq the sound is good but with Eq mid boost is better. room reverb stereo Vintage digital delay stereo in parallel to reverb about 130ms feedback =0 (slap back delay)
  6. Stratocaster Fender Highway one but super-customized by myself with P.U. Bridge: SUHR SSV HB P.U. Middle and Neck: Van Zandt Vintage plus. S.C. Callaham bridge Sperzel Machine heads Telecaster: Squier Classic Vibe '50 butterscotch. Almost stock only Gotoh Bridge 3 vintage brass saddle but open like a modern bridge Gotoh Machine heads. Great cheap but well sounding guitar.
  7. Of course i use a Telecaster. this is my experiment using the Ampeg SVT bass amp model. https://soundcloud.com/pearly-gates-66/pearly-rolling
  8. It's a little confusing.I don't understand well which is the right amp. The pedal talk about a SVT and the pedal is for bass and guitar. I think SVT is a bass amp. I don't know I've found video about vt22 and Keith Richards. But I'm interested to recreate the sound in any way.
  9. yes it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFXqLx6YT5k
  10. I think He used this model 2x12" So i think I have to try with a 2x12" IR... or a 4x12" https://www.vintageguitar.com/19265/ampegvt-22/
  11. This pedal mimics the AMPEG AMP SVT used by Keith Richards. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n6MYFVjMwiA I discovered that's a Bass amp and not a guitar amp. Can i use a bass amp model with the guitar? do you have tried?
  12. Thank you I will try it.
  13. I heard it here https://soundcloud.com/guitar-player-magazine/episode-27-pete-thorn
  14. It does the same think but you save a block slot and it's a global parameter so if you use always the same guitar you'll set it only one time for all.
  15. Helix needs Reverbs. today I watched a demo of Keeley Hooke spring reverb great! That is a spring reverb simulation! At least one more phaser there is only one phaser. But I hope not the small stone. I hope mutron phasor II Improvement of electric mistress block. No hope for fuzzes and Leslies.
  16. Money this is the main contribute of Yamaha. With the money you can work on a project 4 years or more before you begin to recover your investment. It's a bet. Now they are enjoying the results of their work. I think they are selling a lot of items yet.
  17. Glenn's just made a tom sholz preset on helix. I think is perfect
  18. I'd like to hear his opinion about helix. It should be great a video about tom scholz testing helix. Glenn delaune's made a tom scholz preset Imagine tom scholz plays Glenn's preset on Helix
  19. A genius a pioneer in guitar effects, great guitar sound, I remember his Rockman walkman style multieffect... a great innovation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1c0Bx_StvE
  20. My favourite amps are Hot rodded marshall Blues Deluxe Vox AC30 A little hard rock in this end of August before coming back to work. https://soundcloud.com/pearly-gates-66/summer-rock-n-roll Rock on.
  21. in the virtual world of Helix do you want all the issue of the real world? I'd like to have always the creamy big muff not the thin and orrible sounding. Do you agree? A couple of question. Do you think Helix big muff is creamy? do you can tweak it or is always full throttle? make no bones
  22. So why not a decent mild creamy fuzz? among all acid and noisy. So a user can choose. You've forgotten KWB overdrive is the mildest.
  23. I've used the auto filter into a patch with amp and ovedrives. the sound depends on the way I pick the string and i touch the string. The auto filter is also on the melodic guitar track
