  1. Sunday i was tweaking several times a preset and i changed the adriatic delay, to a simple delay, i worked on it some more then i changed preset but the simple delay i put in there became a ghost and it was always present also in the other preset. I though, what's going on? I switched on and off the delay of the second preset...the delay was always there. I changed the time of the delay but that i was hearing didn't change i canceled the delay block in the preset but the ghost delay was always there. then i realize that what i was hearing was the delay of the first preset...a ghost delay. I switched off and on helix Everything ok. the title is ironic.
  2. i'm only chatting, At the end i don't care very much I am a guitar enthusiast now I spent my money, I made my choice. I've chosen Helix, I'm quite happy. I'm talking about in general i'm expressing what I think. To reassume concept: Keep update Helix, it's better for line6, it's better for who betted (and spent his money) on Helix as innovative product like me. For example this is good advertising he is a real pro. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQUmE0TfC4I
  3. I don't want to belittle you but I mean quite famous pros...not people who plays in church, pubs, weddings, baptism, bar mitzvah, etc. even if they do it for job. I mean session guitarists, people who play on records, people who can endorse the product. Are you one of them? In Italy a lot of well respected session guitarist use KPA, so all young guitarists say i want it too.
  4. IMHO you have to keep upgrade Helix avoiding to be neither flesh nor fowl, neither a real prominent professional users product nor a guitar enthusiasts product. I mean too much expensive for normal guitar ethusiasts or semi-pro but not enough cool for great pro guitarists. What is your target?
  5. Riflect. They cannot give to AX8 the same features of Axe Fx otherwise people don't buy Axe Fx anymore. Axe fx is the flagship product. It's simply marketing. Helix is the flagship product of Line6 instead
  6. IMHO There are some features to fix/improve in Helix yet. It seems to me they've release the Helix a little too early but I think they received pressure from high levels, from marketing managers, because of the market (maybe what other competitors were developing at that moment, Fractal AX8, FX8, for example). I think the power of Helix is very underutilized yet, the evidence is the organ patch made by Glenn Delaune. To infringe the hegemony of Kemper (in italy it is more popular than Fractal because is european, you can buy it in the shops Fractal only through web from USA) it needs a great product without flaws. Before Helix the main competitor was Roland/Boss, now the game is changed, the level of price and technology is higher and the expetations of costumers are higher accordingly, now the game game is tough, and AxeFx and KPA are the leaders and the new Bias Head, Atomic amp are also new players. Here where i live KPA is like the holy grail you cannot even compare it to anything without to be accused of sacrilege. So it's better they don't stop to upgrade Helix for the moment.
  7. There is no chance you have to send it to repair service. Very sad. I've tried mine once with a shure sm57 and it works now I'm scared to try with my røde nt3. I'm so scared that I plugged and unplugged the mic only with power switched off
  8. Try with helix and external phantom power or with a dynamic microphone so you can understand if the problem is the phantom power or the Mic input/pre amp
  9. I agree I like Keeley fuzz pedals but also the simple Dunlop mini fuzz face red sound pretty good. I've seen the demo
  10. How many users would like to have more tweakable fuzz in Helix. They seems to me fixed to full throttle, i can't manage them.
  11. Where I live there is good food everywhere. I like cooking...and eating 😊
  12. You must ask to Glenn Delaune he made an organ patch for Helix, if there is a strong request i think he's capable to make also a bagpipe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0E8aJLQpxU i bough it it's cool!
  13. BIG COUNTRY "in a big country" Listen to the guitars sounds like bagpipes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=di-_n05tppo
  14. Do you remember the "big country" a 80's scottish pop band. They used two guitars like bagpipes arrangement. But not the sound only the riffs
  15. He's a genius! it was a big challenge to create an organ, but he did he tried and failed 2 times before the success (he told so in the video) Other patches are "normal" but the organ it's a great job, he thinked out of the box. Great immagination.
  16. Hello how are you? i hope fine. So will you add other effects and amps inside helix? For example i'm left handed so i can't buy Variax guitar and i'd like to have and acoustic guitar simulation inside Helix (like when i owned Boss GT001). I bought a Greg Delaune organ simulation patch he did a great job. He made a very complicated patch to achive the sound using the the avaiable blocks. It sounds good but could be better something made by line6. it gives a glance of a specific potential taylored factory patch.
  17. i saw the logo and i thought you were one of line6 crew. sorry who is the line6 man? Digital igloo? is there somebody else?
  18. I would like to have only a promise that you don't stop to upgrade number of effects and amps of Helix, not only a bug fixing firmware upgrades. Will you do it? oops are you a member of line6 company?
  19. i hope they will add other effects and amp models in the firmware upgrade of helix. There are also many missing features today for example simple auto volume swell or auto wha. different purpose? not playing guitar on a stage?
  20. Why is there more stuff inside firehawk 1500 than Helix and cost less? 21. I use Sennheiser HD380 Pro when i record myself and helix sounds very good. No problems at all.
  22. Anyway this is made using Helix. Everything except drums (organ and bass too) it's played by myself using a Telecaster squier CV. Directly in a notebook and all the effects are from Helix. I'm not a virtuoso i know, it's not important, but Helix sounds...very good! https://soundcloud.com/pearly-gates-66/funky-nights
  23. This is the right way for him, KPA rack and controller instead to carry his real super expensive amp. Like many pro tour session guitarist do. I totally agree.
  24. There is no sense You have to admit to yourself you are an analog guy. So buy some good boutique analog effect to match your great mezzabarba boutique handwired amp. Forget digital is not for you. :D
