  1. Greetings - I am attempting to use command center to control the looper. Found a good video that gets me part of the way by sending the midi cc/value pair to record and another button to play back. Does anyone know where I can find a listing of the values? I haven’t been able to find them so what I have are the two the video uses. Perhaps there is another way to accomplish the following: Under a 4x4 setting I have a snapshot for rhythm, second snapshot with pitch blocks, etc. I want to record what I play in snapshot 2 (pitch blocks) and stop While in snapshot 1 (rhythm) later in the song, I want to play the looper once. Right now I am pressing mode and looper and it is too difficult to toggle back and forth.
  2. Hi, There are so man effect blocks I've never used so will play around with them. But I'd really like an understanding of the parameters and try to learn some blocks I a currently looking into pitch/synth blocks but that is just an example. What do people use? If the block is based on some existing device out (such as Digitech Whammy), do folks google manuals and articles on those devices? In the case of Line 6 Originals like 3 Note Generator or 4 OSC Generator) where can I learn more about it? Currently trying to produce a synth sound that simply plays the notes I am playing and removing the continuous playing the synth defaults to. Thanks in advance for an insight.

    Snapshot help

Thanks Uber. I been using snapshots a while without an issue but today was the first time I tried with an Amp block and the option simply isn’t on the menu. Once I adjust the device it appears correctly assigned to the snapshot. I just can’t see how to initiative it from helix editor.

    Snapshot help

Resurrecting this thread as I cannot figure out how to assign a snapshot to a block WITH HX-EDIT. I have to tweak any parameter on the Helix LT device itself and only then it appears with Source=Snapshot. How does this get accomplished via the editor. I'll use the workaround but I must be missing something? When unassigned and I click the Bypass assignment drop-down Snapshot is not a choice. Footswitches, EXP pedal and Variax appear as choices. I mention it as this is where I'd expect it to be.

    Happy...

+1 on the thanks for all the collaboration and advice. Warmest wishes to everyone.
  6. I am by no means a Vet or expert and much closer to your experience level with Helix. But a few thoughts to pass on from a few months of ownership. - Don’t let great get in the way of good. PLenty of time to chase nirvana and that perfect tone in your head. But chasing it from the beginning gives you tunnel vision and you ignore some cool options - read the manual, then read it again. Keep a list of things you want to learn more about or better understand. Half of my list I deleted because what I thought I needed to learn changed. Or that I learned it along the way. - Keep in mind us Helix tone-chasers can be split into two groups; those looking to create (or re-create) their own tone and those that are looking to mimic an artist-specific or song-specific tone. The latter want a solution....now.. :). That will lead some to third party markets where for a coupe bucks someone has replicated a tone. On their guitar. Tweaking is involved. The group chasing their own tone might love to tinker more. Sound engineers would be a third group actually. - the forum is packed with unbeliebeable help, experience and knowledge. Searching it can be daunting but it is there. - Speaking of hours, I am finding it to be a huge learning curve, but a fun one. I’ve learned more about effects and outcomes not specific to Helix. Give it time. - Back to not letting great get in the way of good. There are thousands of combinations and expertise in each amp, cabinet, mic, effect, etc. The box is a collection of hundreds of rabbit holes you can fall into. Step back out, crank up the volume and have fun. I’m finding it is more an evolution. - YouTube is a great resource.... as always. Just some thoughts but I think you are going to be quite pleased with what you can accomplish.
  7. Thanks all. I will give it a shot. I remember pushing in the knobs for snapshot parameters although I was having a little trouble. But I was primarily using HX Edit so thanks Uber Guru for the right-click and assignment tip.
  8. Hi, I’ve an existing preset and playing around with the never-ending tweaking and volume output. I added a block via the Editor (2.21). When I adjust a parameter, all snapshots receive that value. This happens with existing blocks as well. I slide a volume down on one snapshot, switch to another snapshot and it has the same value. The only item that does work is the bypass. It is a tough topic to search for and didn’t find any other topics but I must be missing something right in front of me.
  9. Thank you. I’ve read the the GLobal EQ is not needed with an FRFR speaker such as the L2T. (I’m sure it isn’t as binary as that sounds and has applications). So given one my want control for room dynamics (and other instruments), is there a case to be made to not use L6 Link? What are the advantages to having it?
  10. [quote name="rbum" post="235583" timestamp="1511781391" But to my knowledge and experience, the global EQ does NOT affect the L6 Link! Which makes it impossible to do something "global" using this Link and the sound will be very harsh (to my ears at least). . Good info as I use the L6 Link. Can anyone confirm this? Also, how are you cabling to the L2T?
  11. Thank you. And a PDF sounds good.
  12. Incredible sound and versatility. I just bought an LT last week and I want to be you when I grow up. :) Thank you.
  13. Thank you. I’ve a lot of tinkering to do to see if I can achieve the effect.
  14. Greetings, Newbie to LT. I’m looking to simulate a simple minimoog sounds as in The Cars’ Just What I needed. I’ve searched the forum, google, YouTube, etc. I played with the mono OSC but it defaults to ‘always on’, meaning when I activate the synth sound exists instead of only responding to the notes I’m playing on the guitar. Can anyone suggest resources for me or know of a similar patch? Thanks in advance.
