HX Edit 2.82 bug with Customizing a Footswitch Label in command center. Cannot name more than one footswitch. I have to go on the Helix Floor directly to name them. Is it a known bug? I haven’t seen anything about this in the forum. thanks in advance.

I want to set a compressor gain at 4.0 on Snapshot 1 and a gain of 6.0 on snapshot 2. It doesn't work at all: all the snapshots recall only the same setting, the last one... The snapshots seem only capable of recalling if a block is off or on. Is it normal? I guess not, it is quite useless if the snapshots cannot recall the different parameters settings inside a block from snapshot to snapshot. What could I've been doing wrong? Helix V2.71

Hi gposada, not sure I understand what you are trying to achieve: from stereo signal to mono signal?
-
Hi Folinomj, It should work the same. Please note that I’ve started this thread prior to buying the HX effects. Should buy it next May for my anniversary... hopefully the software HX Edit will be fully functionnal with it around that time. So till then, I’m not really speaking from experience. Nerven is the one who answer this thread with pratical knowledge of the HX effects unit,

see the reply of nerven to my post: it is possible & it works through the "Split Y" as the first module and its "BalanceA" & "BalanceB" parameters. And of course by assigning Path A and B outputs independantly at the other end of the chain signal. here is the link: http://line6.com/support/topic/32475-line-6-hx-effects-possible-to-have-2-independent-instrument-lines/

Great Thanks nerven! That sound like it! But just to make sure, if ever you have the time & would like to test it, try the little test with a fuzz on one line & a chorus on the other & let see what is coming out from each outputs.
-
Thanks : Keep me inform if ever Line 6 come back to you & tell you that will be a fix part of a future software update.

Thanks nerven, Maybe you cannot assign the inputs independantly because you have nothing connected in the second input... A dummy connection, like simply connecting a cable or patch cord, should do the trick. I have a Line 6 Flextone III XL and I have to put a dummy connector whenever I want to use only the effects loop, if not there is no sound at all coming out of it. If what I suggest is irrelevant to the HX, logically it should split the signal based on the Left/Right connections. It could be interesting to put let say a fuzz on one of the path & a chorus on the other & see what is happening at the Left output compare to the Right one when you switch your guitar from one input to the other. Cheers, Euripide

I've just found the problem: I had to put a noise gate at the end of M13 and it changed the signal to mono... It was a POD X3 Live outputs that was feeding its loop return. Changed from X3 outputs to Phones from X3 to feed the M13 & it lower the noise considerably. Anyone as an idea why the outputs of pod X3 are much more noisy then the Phone Out?

Here is my problem: I have a signal pan Left and another pan right. The mix remains OK as long as I don't send them back to the M13 FX Return Loop. As soon as I do this, M13 Outlets just pan both signal in the center of the stereo fields!!!! Is my unit faulty or is it a general problem with these units?

Guitar to M13 In, FX send (L) to X3 IN, X3 OUT (left & right) to M13 FX return (left & right), M13 stéréo OUT to stéréo In device with phone outlet. me I use either my Looper pedal or my PC sound card since Both have a headphone jack.

Any news yet? When the IT guys are planning to solve the problem regarding the whole CustomTone site?
-
Sorting doesn't work: For example choose pod X3 family, expand view & check "all compatible Tone". Then Type in "U2" & once you get the results click on "Rating" & see what is happening: an invisible sort on the "Product" & then on the "Rating". In that specific search on U2, the first tone is a "podXT" tone rated 3 stars & a couple of lines below the first "PodXT live" tone is a 5 stars rating. So to me it is not rating because if there are 500 hundreds U2 tone under "PodXt Live" I will still have to search manually through the pages to get the next 5 stars compatible tone.....

Sorting doesn't work & the problem appears with either GoogleChrome or ie10. In fact I think i understand what is happening now as oppose as before: the site seems to sort automatically by "Products" & then by whatever filter we want. This is not very convenient if we want to see the best rating tone regardless of the product knowing it will be compatible anyway....

It seems all customtone sorting problems started with the new Line 6 web site (January 23rd 2014?) .... I have a Pod X3 live & since then everytime I try to sort some search tones results, the sorting engine doens't seems to work. In fact, if I click on "Rating" in order to sort the results, something happened but definetely not sorting! Whatever column I try to sort the results with, it doesn't work at all. It seems a general bug. Do the peoples at Line 6 are aware that the customtone sirting engine doens't work anymore? Thank's in advance,

I Think I've found a "little" workaround: I will use standard tuning with the real mag pickups & tune a 6 strings of a variax model like the 6 others strings of the 12 strings tuning I'm looking for. Then I will use "Variax" as the input on my pod X3 live in order to get both guitars playing at the same time. I might have to add a little delay on the simulation model...

Is it possible to do custom "funny" alternate guitar tuning with 12 strings in Workbench HD? This is the tuning I'm trying to do (for the Genesis song Cinema Show): Tune the high string of the 4th pair of strings (D) down to A, so the notes form a fifth. Tune the high string of the 3rd pair (G) down to E, so the notes form a sixth, thusly: 1st E 2nd B 3rd G/e 4th D/a 5th A 6th E How would I do in Workbench HD in order to get that tuning?
