I have a dual tone setup which is not what I want. All I want is Tone 1 which is Yngwie Lead. Problem is there is a Tone 2 along with it called Yngwie Malmsteen which I'd like to blank out. How do I remove Tone 2 and just keep Tone 1?

Okay so I bought a used POD XT Pro off Ebay. Works fine. I registered it with my Line 6 account. Someone on the Reaper forum told me I am entitled to POD Farm to use as a VST plug-in with my DAW. I can't get either POD Farm 1 nor POD Farm 2 to work. With POD Farm 1 it says no recognized devices found (and my device is on). With POD Farm 2 it says it's not authorized, yet I've ran the license manager several times. What do I gotta do?

But I don't really care for the way they set up the recording level. The only way to adjust recording level is to raise or lower the channel volume. You gotta crank the channel volume to at least seven and then to compensate for the blaring headphone volume you gotta lower the master.

Okay I found it.

I watched a YouTube video where a guy was explaining how you can reamp using the POD XT Pro and Reaper. He went into Control Panel and called up Line 6 Control Panel and MIDI or something and in that box it showed the reamping options. I don't see such a dialog box on my machine. I'm using Windows 7.

POD XT Pro connected to my computer with a USB cable.

I doing some recording into Reaper and when I arm a track the level is not high enough. How do I increase the recording level going into Reaper? I don't want to raise the POD channel volume because then that will raise the volume of my guitar in my headphones and I like the headphone level where it's at right now.

Sometimes I've seen for example the Equalizer at the very end of the chain, other times most usually I've seen it appear much earlier in the signal chain. Almost leads me to believe you can somehow change the order of the effects in the XT Pro signal chain. Can anyone shed some light on this?

I too dumped the HD Series. They stink in comparison to the XT and the X3 Series.

Okay I got a Malmsteen Preset called Malmsteen Tone in memory slot 22B. It's saved there. But every single time I open Gearbox and watch the progress bar and the tone transferring thing is taking place, my XT Pro always ends up showing 22B as American Punk! I don't want this. I want Gearbox to default to the specific tone (in this case Malmsteen Tone) that I saved there at 22B. Where am I going wrong here?

Okay I think I got it. For some reason you first have to click on the photo of the XT that's on the left of the page and then that leads you to a following page where you click on the download arrow.

I registered my POD XT Pro a few days ago on the site and now when I'm trying to download the Deep Purple Made In Japan preset from Custom Tone it tells me that registration is required to use Custom Tone. I did register.

I think I got it. You gotta hit the button called ToneLocker.

When I had the HD Pro X I remember that when I opened up the Editing Software you could watch the progress of all the presets stored in your Pro X load into HD Pro Edit (the editing software). How do you do the same with the XT Pro and Gearbox? Everytime I open up Gearbox it loads something called American Punk.

I would like to overwrite most if not all of the factory presets that came with my XT Pro. So I read you can make a blank preset and then copy it over to all the presets you don't want. How do I make a blank preset? And how do I copy it to all the locations?

error (code 80002008) Client has been disconnected from the network. I don't see a serial number on the bottom of the unit either. I see an authorize button though.

It says Pod Xt Pro authorized but then it spits out an error code. Do I gotta register the serial number with Line 6 before I find out anything?

I picked up a used POD XT Pro and I was wondering how I go about finding out which model packs if any are already installed in the unit?

When you say "after the Pod" or "on the main output" what do you mean? Bear in mind I just plug my guitar into the Pod's input and play through headphones. No amplifier is being used.
