  1. The idea of creating additional banks is now being reviewed by Line 6 -- hopefully, the will be able to offer this feature. As for saving "favorites": I'd recommend you save your tones to My Tones rather than Favorites. The problem with Favorites is that unless you can remember exactly which song you marked the tone as a "favorite", you can't delete the tone. You could soon find yourself with a bunch of favorites and no way to effectively clean up your list. Whereas in My Tones, you can directly delete any tones you don't wish to keep. You can save a favorite tone to My Tones by going into editor for the tone; selecting "save info" at bottom of the page; tapping on "Save" and tapping on "Save to M Tones" You can also change parameters to the tone (mod, cab, rev, delay, etc, as well as levels and and eq) before saving and you can save the tone to a different name in your My Tones if you so choose. By default, the AMPLIFI is set to receive tones from on-line when you select songs from Music Library. You can turn this feature off by going to "Settings" and switching off the "Auto Tone Loading." While there, you might want to also switch on "Hide Songs Not On Device" so it only shows the songs on your IOS device and not everything you have in your computer's iTunes. AE
  2. Thanks Charly for checking -- and congrats on having a buzz-proof 150 amp! AE
  3. These comments below helped me make the decision to hang on to the 150. Thanks for your thoughts! AE
  4. Hi Sonny666 -- Regarding the buzz, please let us know soonest what you find with another 150. I have a 30 day return with Guitar Center and my days are down to single digits. I'm torn between keeping it (since I don't play heavy music or music that's that loud) or trading for a lighter, more conveniently sized 75 since I bought the 150 for the extra "umph" for live performances. If it's going to buzz, I wonder if I really need it over the 75. Frankly, I think I could live with either choice -- but choose I must, and soon! AE
  5. This question came up before and Phil M provided a great answer: You can manually search for a tone by song or artist name in the app. If you're in the song library part of the app, hit the "Playing" icon on the upper right hand corner of the screen, and there's a field that says "Search Tone Cloud". (Note: Sometimes you have to finger-stroke down on the tones found to get to the "Search Tone Cloud" field) By doing this, you can actually find a tone-match for 'Southbound Again' -- I just did and I don't have the song on my iPhone. AE
  6. Thanks Cruisin' for the explanation of dominant resonant frequency. And that was a cool fix on your Marshall. Unfortunately, these AMPLIFIs are built in a way that seems to discourage taking a peek inside. For me, it'd feel like taking a screwdriver to the foreboding Monolith in 2001, A Space Odyssey. So for now, the wedged pick is my best 'place-holder' answer. Maybe someone else has opened up this hermetically sealed box and can tell us what the innards look like -- anyone? AE
  7. Oh, okay. I see. Thanks for the clarification. It appears Phil has responded to your question. BTW, his point about the phone's case is a good one and worth taking the phone out of the case to see if it works better. It sounds like keeping the phone close to the amp is the best bet though. AE
  8. Funny, I never pushed my amp to the level where I noticed it, but upon checking -- sure enough when amp is set at 75 % volume, it gets a cab buzz happening, in my case the low G note on the E6 string. So I kept pressing parts of the back until I was able to isolate the location. In my case, it was where the top of the cover overlaps near the right side of the back panel. I wedged a 2mm pick in there and it "muffled" the buzz shortening its duration -- however, still have some buzz. Things that make you go hmmm... I don't play at those loud levels much and generally I've been happy with the amp, so do I look at the situation as glass half empty (buzz...) or glass half full (AMPLIFI with new spare pick holding accessory)? I'd post a picture but I can't figure out how. Maybe Phil can help me here... AE
  9. What do you mean by "nothing else'?
  10. I remember reading that too, and I think any answer to this question is relative to the equipment used, type of music played, and one's personal sound quality expectations. When I conducted the above tests for Tony, I didn't hear a noticeable difference between BT and Aux IN. If anything (and this is really stretching it), I personally think the Aux IN sounded a touch better -- especially when used with a mixer board which allows for EQ adjustments. Also, as nice as the AMPLIFI is, it's not going to provide a sound comparable to a top-of-the-line PA system or sound system. The AMPLIFI sound good -- even great at times -- but at 500 bucks it's not going to sound "awesome" compared to a multi-thousands of dollars PA or home system. AE
  11. Hi Tony. I powered up the AMPLIFI 150, used a Strat, a 2 channel Mackie Mixer, and a phantom mic, to get your answers (which are in BOLDFACE below each of your questions). AE
  12. I think that's pretty much the answer. I keep mine about 6-8 feet in front of the amp and it works well -- mostly. It's still has intermittent breaks in the play. The other choice is to use a cable between my iPhone and the 'aux in' on the amp. This eliminates all breaks in play. Basically, I don't depend on the the Bluetooth for anything critical like live or recording purposes. For just jamming around the house and listening to tunes, I can live with the intermittent breaks -- or I use a cable. AE
  13. I noticed today in IdeaScale the request for an Android app has moved up from "active" to "review" status. Good news for Android users. AE
  14. Thanks Sonny. It's getting too late here to test the amp at these volumes, but I'll give it a go tomorrow and see if I have the same issues with my 150. AE
  15. Good on you Jeff. Glad you got a working amp. Now -- get jamming my man!
  16. Hi Carlos. I haven't experienced this issue, but with three amps in this thread showing these symptoms, I'm really curious. Can you expand on what you know at bit ... At what volume level were you playing? What type of "tone" (overdriven, clean, metal?) Where there any songs you played from your Music Library that was causing the same problem -- and at what volume? You mentioned you "hit certain notes"... which notes are they? Thanks in advance. Since this is a new product, any info like this could help others better understand their amps. AE
  17. Taking it back sounds like a good move to me Jeff. And I think you've been more than fair and patient evaluating and diagnosing the problem. AE
  18. And -- just as a sanity check and to pick up on what Phil and Charly suggested -- remember that there are iPhone, iPad, and IPod models that DO NOT support AMPLIFI since they cannot load IOS 7. For example, the first generation iPod comes to mind. Be sure you stick with the items listed in Phil's post. AE
  19. I talked with Larry at LeCover today about a cover for the AMPLIFI 150 -- and... He's already put it on his site! You can get a cover in six different configurations, varying from a basic black polyester no-padding ($27.95) to premium PLUS beige with 1/2 inch nylon padding ($55.45). He said turnaround time to make a cover is around 24 hours! The covers are W22.5 D9.5 and H16. I think it's great that he's responded so quickly to our needs. I think he is also planning to offer a cover for the AMPLIFI 75. You can check them out and order from here: http://www.lecover.com/proddetail.php?prod=494 AE
  20. Phil, good call about a Fender Blues Deluxe hard case for the AMPLIFI 150. Meanwhile, I'm tracking down some more info about a padded cover. I'll let you know when I know more. AE
  21. I'd recommend you save your tones to My Tones rather than Favorites. As for balancing the tone levels, as mjc noted, it's a bit of a challenge. It's also been covered here on the forum in various places. Here's one place: http://line6.com/support/topic/5798-balancing-the-levels-of-my-tones/?hl=%2Boperating+%2Btip%3A&do=findComment&comment=38971 Also, I recommend using the search feature in this forum. Be sure to start at the AMPLIFI forum main page, and go to the search feature at the upper right section of the page. Since there is no Manual for the AMPLIFIED app, searching this forum for answers may be your best bet. Whenever I wrote an operating idea/suggestion, I've tried to "mark" them with the words" OPERATING TIP:". You can type "OPERATING TIP:" at the forum search and see most of the suggestions I've made which are also often next to or near other operating suggestions. I hope that helps. AE
  22. I'm using a nylon dust cover from my Fender Vibroverb but it's a bit big. I want to get a padded form-fitting slip cover with a pocket on the front. I'm looking at "Studio Slips" (www.studioslips.com) I can get a custom built padded slip cover (H16xW22.5xD9.5) with a pocket on the front for $85. Not cheap, but I think worth it considering how much I'll be moving this amp around for gigs. The AMPLIFI's plastic cab looks durable, but I think a padded cover would really help to keep it from getting scuffed and banged around. Anyone had any experience with "Studio Slips"? Does anyone have any other ideas? AE
  23. That what I do for music I play on Spotify. I start Spotify, play a song via bluetooth through AMPLIFI, and then go to the AMPLIFI app to use or adjust various tones I have saved in My Tones. AE
  24. I'm not sure why you're having this problem. I wish I could help. Just wondering... are you up to date on your ipad and using IOS7?
