  1. Hi Peter. While You're up on IdeaScale, please be sure to vote for the "Add more preset tone banks to AMPLIFI" at the top of this page. Every vote counts. (Of course, if you have already done so -- thanks!) And also, if anyone else thinks more tone banks is a good idea -- let your voice be heard by going to IdeaScale and voting. Again, go to the top of this thread and link in. Line 6 is already looking at this idea so let 'em know if you want it. AE
  2. I agree. Additionally, I think you'd want the best possible connection to your amp since you don't want it acting up during performances or recordings. At this point, given the Bluetooth connectivity issues between the AMPLIFI and the Remote App, I wouldn't trust it with my guitar. I'd really like to see them spend the time solving the BT connectivity problems first. AE
  3. Tony -- can you provide us with step-by-step directions to update the firmware? Frankly, I'm confused. You mention Version 1.0.4 which I can't find. The only update I've seen previously (which I installed) is 1.00.5. However, while my Settings>Updates>Amp Flash shows shows 1.00.5 (updated fro 1.00.1), when I go to Settings>About>About AMPLIFI Remote, it still says Version 1.00.1 It's all confusing. Does this mean that I DON'T have 1.00.5 installed or is it that the "About" setting saying 1.00.1 is wrong and didn't change to 1.00.5 after the install? As for Version 1.0.4 that you mentioned, I see it nowhere. Did you mean 1.00.5? -- help! Your clarification is needed here please. Thanks! AE
  4. HI Shakey. To remove a tone from your favorites, you need to go back to the song where you selected the tone as a favorite and de-select it. Unfortunately, it's not always easy to remember which song you used. For this reason, I save tones I as "My Tones" where it is easier to remove. AE
  5. Murraypeters, I don't think a pitch adjust feature is in the Amplifi Remote. Sound like a good idea. Perhaps you could submit it at IdeaShare. I'd vote for it. You can learn how to submit to IdeaShare by going to the following link. AE Post your product ideas, feature requests and video tutorial ideas at line6.ideascale.com
  6. I was requested for my serial number as well. It's good to see this pro-active effort by Line 6 to run down the vibration problem. Thanks Line 6! AE
  7. Congrats to all at Line 6! April 2014 Guitar Player Magazine just came out and Amplifi 150 received an "Editor's Pick". Also reviewed is the Amplifi Remote. The kudos for the Amplifi 150 -- "High quality stereo sound." The concerns -- "No footswitch provided for toggling presets." As for the Amplifi Remote, kudos -- "ToneMatch function works well. Great selection of amp and effect models." The concerns -- "Works only with Apple mobile devices that are iOS7 compatible." Nice writeup with about a three page spread. Does a good job explaining the features and functions of the Amplifi system. AE
  8. Thanks Joe for checkin' on us. Regarding looper -- could you check out this IdeaScale and think what you think. Thanks! AE' Add AB looping during song playback An AB looping function during playback of tracks would make the app much more useful for working on licks/songs.
  9. Ahh -- thanks for the reminder! I just tried it -- and while better -- still too "synth" sounding for my needs. Thanks for the suggestion though -- and it might be what the OP is looking for.
  10. Thanks!! This greatly adds information to the list of Amplifi amps, pedals, and settngs. The list is useful since it tells us exactly what's in the Amplifi, and cross-referencing to the pdf file lets us learn about the specific amp, pedal, etc. It's time to start cookin' up some tones! AE
  11. Not sure if this is what you're looking for but turns out there's an Octave Fuzz among the "Stomps". However, I prefer a nice distinct, clean octave sound and I can't get this stomp to sound clean or very distinct. I'm sticking with my Boss pedal for octaves. AE
  12. Questions keep coming up about what's in the Amplifi app. I thought I'd pull up a tone and see what I find. (Anybody can do this. Just load the free Amplifi app on your iPhone/iPad, pull up a tone, go to "Editor" and start snooping around) AE 77 Amps (9 Clean, 24 American, 18 British, 26 Hi Gain) 8 Wahs 15 Stomps 23 Mods 14 Delays 15 Filters, Synths, and Pitch 15 Reverbs Clean Amps: No Amp Tube Instrument Preamp Line 6 Piezacoustic 2 Line 6 Variax Acoustic 1987 Jazz Clean Line 6 21st Century Clean Line 6 Super Clean Line 6 Sparkle Clean Line 6 Super Sparkle American Amps: 1958 Tweed B-Man 1953 Small Tweed 1960 Tiny Tweed 1964 Blackface 'Lux 1965 Double Verb 1963 Blackface Vibro 1967 Double Show 1972 Silverface Bass 1960 Gibson Expo 1967 Wishbook Silver 12 1960s Super O 1962 Super O Thunder 1960 Two-Tone 1985 Cali Crunch 1993 Match D-30 1996 Match Chief 2001 Zen Master 1996 Mini Double Line 6 Class A Line 6 Mood Line 6 Bayou Line 6 Twang Line 6 Crunch Line 6 Boutique #1 British Amps: Brit Gain 18 1965 Plexi 45 1968 Plexi Lead 100 1968 Plexi Jump Lead 1968 Plexi Variac’d 1968 Brit Plexi Bass 100 1969 Brit Plexi Lead 200 1996 Brit JM Pre 1990 Brit J-800 1992 Brit Gain J-900 Clean 1992 Brit Gain J-900 Dist 2003 Brit Gain J-2000 Brit J-2000 #2 1960 Class A-15 1967 Class A-30 Top Boost Class A-30 Fawn Citrus D-30 1973 Hiway 100 High Gain Amps: 1987 Brit Gain Silver J 1993 Solo 100 Head 2001 Treadplate Dual 2001 Cali Diamond Plate 2002 Bomber Uber 2002 Bomber X-TC 2002 Angel P-Ball 2003 Connor 50 2003 Deity Crunch 2003 Deity Lead 2003 Deity’s Son 2002 Mississippi Criminal Line 6 Modern Hi Gain Line 6 Spinal Puppet Line 6 Chemical X Line 6 Purge Line 6 Insane Line 6 Argo Line 6 Lunatic Line 6 Treadplate Line 6 Big Bottom Line 6 Chunk Chunk Line 6 Fuzz Line 6 Octone Line 6 Smash Line 6 Throttle Gate: Noise Gate Vol: Volume Wah: Line 6 Fassel Weeper Chrome Chrome Custom Throaty Conductor Colorful Stomp (Drives and Dynamics): Facial Fuzz Fuzz Pi Screamer Classic Distortion Octave Fuzz Killer Z Tube Drive Boost + EQ Bass Overdrive Bronze Master Red Comp Blue Comp Blue Comp Treb Vetta Comp Auto Swell Mods: Sine Chorus Analog Chorus Line 6 Flanger Jet Flanger Phaser U-Vibe Opto Tremolo Bias Tremolo Rotary Drum + Horn Rotary Drum Auto Pan Analog Square Chorus Stereo Square Chorus Stereo Expo Chorus Random Chorus Stereo Square Flange Expo Flange Lumpy Phase Hi Talk Sweeper POD Purple X Random S & H Warble-Matic Delays: Analog Delay Analog Delay w/Modulation Tube Echo Multi-Head Delay Sweep Echo Digital Delay Stereo Delay Ping Pong Delay Reverse Delay Echo Platter Tape Echo Low Rez Phaze Eko Bubble Echo Filters, Synths, and Pitch Auto Wah Dingo Tron Clean Sweep Seismik Synth Double Bass Buzz Wave Rez Synth Saturn 5 Ring Mod Synth Analog Synth FX Synth Harmony Synth Lead Synth String Bender Tape Eater Comp: Compressor EQ: EQ Reverb: ‘Lux Spring Standard Spring King Spring Small Room Tiled Room Brite Room Dark Hall Medium Hall Large Hall Rich Chamber Chamber Cavernous Slap Plate Vintage Plate Large Plate
  13. While I agree there are some ideas presented here that may be outside the scope of this product, I don't think expecting a way to add additional tone banks is unreasonable -- and Line 6 must agree since they elevated the idea to a "review" status. They also elevated the idea about making Amplifi work with Android. It seems to me, any sensible suggestion that can be accomplished through software updates is a reasonable thing to discuss and consider. As Charly has noted regarding a different issue, the way the Amplifi tone-matches are going to improve is for Amplifi users to incrementally improve them; likewise, one of the ways the Amplifi system itself is going to improve is by users providing ideas and feedback to Line 6 about their needs and desires. But as Charly has noted ("Sometimes it's how it's done.") and Louper said ("...the hardware we own is not going to change."), suggestions are best received when they are presented in a civil tone and in within the limits of the equipment. Additionally, if you wish Line 6 to hear you, present your ideas in the correct places and let us vote on them-- i.e., at IdeaShare.
  14. Back in mid-Feb, an IdeaScale was posted which covers some of the above suggestions. This idea is now in the "review" portion of the process but to keep this idea moving along -- forum members can help by voting for the suggestion. If you haven't done so yet, please sign up for IdeaScale and start voting and making your opinion count. Here's what was posted: I justed added this topic to Ideascale, Add more preset tone banks to AMPLIFI We need more than four presets on the amp to make it more usable during gigs and jams -- I know some of you have mentioned this as well. Please go to Ideascale and vote for this. Thanks! AE
  15. I don't believe so but i would be a nice addition to the effects.
  16. As I recall, Digitech gave away all their effects free of charge as a "mea culpa" to their users and customers. Following an IOS upgrade, the iStomps quit working with the iPhones until Digitech upgraded software from their end. As can be expected, this pissed off a lot of customers. To regain customer confidence and to extend their apologies, Digitech for a limited time gave away all but one of their effects free of charge. Around the same time, MF was selling the pedals for $39 each. It meant you could buy three pedals for less than the previous cost of one pedal and get all forty or so downloadable pedals for free! Quite a fantastic deal for sure. AE
  17. No quick way that I know of. You could take the songs from Spotify, save them one at a time to your computer's iTunes (via software like Audio Hijack), transfer them to your iPhone/iPad, and then use the songs from within your Amplifi music library. It takes time and patience, but it's relatively easy to do. AE
  18. Hi Mike. Thanks for the suggestion. I just checked the website and it looks like CopyTrans is designed to copy songs from the I device back to your computer. Have you used the software to to copy songs from your computer to an I device? (Also, are you using a PC or MAC?) Thanks! AE
  19. Hi Phil, while you're up to providing set-up tips... Any chance you tip us on which amp you used on "Pretty Bad? And maybe a screen shot of the amp settings? Thanks! AE
  20. Thanks Gareth for clarifying. I'm glad you found a solution and able to start getting the most out of your AMPLIFI. It's sure frustrating when a username and password seems to just disappear -- and a bit spooky. Today it was a Line 6 account, tomorrow it could be the 401K plan. Digital-reality seems to be our modern version of the old Chinese curse of "living in interesting times." Anyway, glad you're diggin' the amp! AE
  21. Just to clarify -- are you saying when you tap on your AMPLIFI app on your iPhone or iPad, that it won't come up -- i.e., "log into Line 6"?
  22. Here's an OPERATING TIP: Rather than moving over full CDs or playlists of various artists from my computer's iTunes to my iPhone, I create special "playlists" in my iTunes, copy over only the songs I want, and use these playlists for tone matches, practice and jamming. I name the lists "Line 6 Collection 1, Line 6 Collection 2, Line 6 Jazz Play-Alongs, Line 6 Blues Play-Alongs, etc." to keep everything in specific places. It saves a lot of room on your iPhone or iPad and puts everything in convenient little baskets. AE
  23. For what it's worth, while jamming here's what I do to get back to My Tones from Now Playing with one touch. OPERATING TIP: -- After loading your song to "Now Playing", tap four times on the upper left corner backtracking the pages from "Song" / "Playlists"/ Main Page / to "My Tones". Select your tone then tap on the "Playing" in the upper right hand corner. You will be back at your "Now Playing" page with "My Tones" in the upper left hand corner. By setting your playback features this way, you can play your song and change tones with a simple one step back rather than a 'full four step' process during the middle of your jam. AE
