How you boost volume? [HD500x or External Boost Pedal via FX Loop ?]
Mastersonics replied to Mastersonics's topic in POD HD
Hi guys This is a picture of what I want to do just a little cleaner with the cables. Any ideas or recommendation are very welcome… This setup is for my one man band show and I want to control everything from the pedalboard [Master Command Center] I will use the following: 1. Dream Rig [JTV69/HD500x/L2T] 2. Airturn Quad pedalboard 3. LED lights 4. All cables hidden I would also try to have the VDI connection prewired so I just have to attach a cable to the side and done. I'm looking at this exact pedalboard [pictured] or a Trailer Trash Pro pedalboards because you can hide all the cables underneath cleanly just not sure if I can add the second tier for the Air Turn pedalboard… Still need to call them... let me know what you think cheers, Charles -

Hey radatats thanks a lot for your help I'm pretty much done tuning my dream rig and almost ready to hit the road FINALLY…! I was wondering if the Xotic EP booster for example can bring a better feel/tone I know it's all subjective and all ears are different but still would like to know from you guys... How you like your pedalboard? How much does it weight? Just send an email to the tar case guy. I'm looking to get a pedalboard for the HD500x and I'm between the Tarcase and the Trailer Trash I would like to have everything in the pedalboard wired up so all I need to do is just plug in thanks, C -
Hi I'm looking for some guidance as the best way to boost volume for solos and such. Either via the HD500x internal EQ's, FX's etc or thru the FX loop via an Xotic EP Booster or any other famous booster pedals. I have the Dream Rig [JTV69/HD500x/L2T] Would appreciate if you can be as detailed as possible including pictures so I can visualize it better. I'm also ordering a Trailer Trash custom board for my HD500x as my command control centerpiece, including: 1. Extra volume/expression pedal [Mission Engineering] 2. Airturn Quad bluetooth pedal: This is for my one man band show so I can control my backing tracks, lyrics scrolling via OnSong. 3. Booster/external pedal: In case this is the best option or want to add a pedal down the line. All of this is for my one band man show and I will use pretty much everything the system offers [Electric, acoustics, alt tunings etc..,] Looking forward for your help on this one... thanks a lot and Happy Holidays Charles :)

pwik I was skeptical at first and the learning curve was steep but radatats and a few others really helped me out quite a lot and now I'm sold… Just perfecting the details here and there for me which still need to get around but so far I'm getting usable nice tones from this rig... The difference from you is that I have the L2T speaker instead of the amp, HD500x and JTV69 cheers, Charles

Hi Martin To be honest I wasn't motivated at the beginning after reading a few horror stories etc… But after trying it I was sold… The whole reality is visualizing it as a final PA processed guitar sound. Once you visualize it like that and trying it in a band setting I was sold. The whole secret or weapon is using the L2T… Is that good…. Plus pairing it with a JTV guitar there's nothing out there that can touch it. I just need to know the optimum setting regarding panning and I'll be set thanks C

Hi guys I would like to ask you regarding the output type and pan control on the mixer. Right now I have tried both ways [<100/100>] and prefer the oomph that panning it to the center [0/0] [Guessing Mono] on the mixer gives me. I'm going out from the L2T into the Bose T1 mixer on my Bose L1 system I can also go out directly from the HD500x stereo and maybe pan it <25/25>… options options…! Also what would be the optimal volume setting on the mixer? Any recommendations on which way would be better or you guys had great tonal experience? thanks for your help regards, C

Hi guys Hppy to say that I'm keeping the dream rig I bonded with the JTV69 even though I need to send it back to be setup because of the tuning problems. I love the neck on this thing… First time I bonded with a super strat style guitar. I'm a PRS wide fat type of guy. I would like to ask you regarding the output type and pan control on the mixer. Right now I have tried both ways [<100/100>] and prefer the oomph that panning it to the center [0/0] [Guessing Mono] on the mixer gives me. Thanks for the great info jegler I think I got some nice sounds so far but you hit it in the head about the cumbersome available info They should make a IDIOT PROOF step by step in order to get the right gain stages etc... All the videos they make during the year why not make a simple video on how to setup from scratch and make all the options available with detailed videos and what they do to affect the end tone etc…! I'm having a bad time with the JTV69 going out of tune and it sucks because I love the neck but at the same time I'm having problems with the L2T so much that I'm still thinking in returning the unit and get a Kemper direct to my Bose L1 Model 2 I will mostly be using this system on my one man band show thru the Bose system, that's it On my other band I'm the lead singer and don't play any instruments so that's why I need a compact rig like this that just WORKS for the sake of mankind My hopes are low because I don't want any problems with the equipment down the road like any professional musician wants. Especially since this DREAM RIG never been gigged and it's been sitting in my climate control perfect power music room... So it's either: 1. Take a risk and keep this "DREM RIG" or 2. Get a Kemper/AXE FX with a PRS P22 or 3 Keep it simpler and get the PRS P22 with a Tech 21 FlyRig 5 cheers, Charles

Hey guys, I would like to control the L2T and the send to the Bose L1 Tonematch mixer volumes separately. Is it possible from the HD500x? I have the L2T as a monitor/amp in front plus I send a signal to my Bose L1 Tonematch PA mixer and would like to control both with individual volumes. thanks, Charles

Hey guys, Do you know if there's a way to control each output with a separate volume knob? I need to control the L2T and the send to the Bose L1 Tonematch mixer separately. Is it possible from the HD500x? I have the L2T as a monitor/amp in front plus I send a signal to my Bose L1 Tonematch console and would like to control both with individual volumes. thanks, Charles

Sorry guys I'm a little frustrated after everything I had to go thru to pay for this rig... Hoping you guys will lend me a hand and get me going since I have my first gigs in two weeks time. Now I have the rattle more pronounced than ever and the fan goes crazy spinning… Is that the problem? I only had this system for exactly 36 days now and for 21 days I was sick with Bronchitis and I didn't even touched it. Here's the video… http://youtu.be/ywFppoerm_U Is there some sort of serial #'s that you know from what batch they are having this issue? Please let me know ASAP thanks, Charles

Hi guys Not sure if I'm having the rattle problem with my L2T but definitely is a noise of some kind and I can't use like that. I only use it with my Dream Rig [JTV69/HD500x/L2T] Here's a video so you can let me know… thanks, Charles
