  1. Hi Colonel I will use the dream rig as a dedicated guitar amp/speaker I can try and use it like a monitor for guitar and vocals but I prefer the sound I'm getting for guitar only then for vocals I'll just use my Bose L1M2B2 system The difference in the guitar sound is pretty amazing if I use it like a guitar amp. It sounds better to me. thanks, Charles
  2. Hi guys radatats You are correct the out of the L2T is labeled +4 but it's an XLR output… Old schooler here… lol Colonel Forbin Glad I can contribute positively After all the help I received here that's the least I could do I will go ahead and attached the whole rig to one power source and take it from there. That might kill the hum… Why I didn't thought about that… lol Would love to see pictures of your setup Sounds like you can have a lot of fun with your system... thanks again for your help regrds, Charles
  3. Hello everyone I think I finally found a rig that can do pretty much anything I need for my one man show. I'm very excited because it's so friggin convenient and it does sounds good. I still have a few quirks to iron out so hope that with this thread you can help me and a few others have a 100% Dream Rig system. 1. I'm going out of my HD500x via L6 to the L2T XLR out of the L2T to my Bose L1M2B2 Tonematch small console. Doing in it this way I'm getting the exact same sound of the L2T is getting and switching from acoustic to electric presets. I'm getting a Hum on the Bose from the L2T XLR that I need to get rid of ASAP Any ideas how to do this correctly? 2. I can also go XLR out of the HD500x to the Bose Tonematch console but the signal level drops BIG time and the hum goes down too. Still getting the L2T sounding great via the L6 cable and all the switching from acoustic to electric just fine. 3. Is there a better way in doing this and to control the volume on the L2T? 4. I'm getting great tone even direct from the HD500x to the Bose T1 console and I'm all about convenience and be as lightweight as possible Are any of you with me on this?… plus I can save myself some $$$ returning the L2T and have one less box to carry. The convenience of having a dedicated GTR monitor is great too I'm just asking because from another point of view I think is good to have all the sounds coming out of one source in this case the Bose L1M2B2 system. 5. Is there a way I can control the volume of the L2T other than the Master knob on the HD500x? Just want to know all the options available to have full control of the system and don't be slaved to knobs all over. 6. It would be great if you can explain your signal flow, system setup [ipads…etc…] Pictures or videos can make a big difference explaining things so I would appreciate if you guys can do that. thanks a lot for your help regards, Charles
  4. Hey radatats I'm going out of the HD500x via L6 into the L2T and out of the L2T [via XLR] into the Bose console. If I go directly out of the HD500x via XLR into the Bose console is way lower level signal into the console. C
  5. After looking into this setup I found out a few other things….! 1. If I go out of the L2T into the Bose console the signal is way hotter than going XLR out of the HD500x directly into the bose console 2. The sound is a little different going direct to the Bose console but not that much so i might be able to get rid of the L2T and save some $. 3. The thing I like about having the L2T is that I have a dedicated guitar monitor in front of me plus what's coming out of the Bose system makes it sounds HUGE…! So that's it…. any pointers? :P cheers, Charles
  6. Hi guys After a few weeks of the grid because of a nasty cold I'm kind of back… Still recovering... A few good news... 1. I have made progress in a few fronts with this dream rig starting with the JTV69 that after using the "Nut Sauce" is working almost 100% It still goes out of tune a bit but not as much as before… Looking forward to find the cure 100% to it but I can perform like that for now. 2. I'll be using a Bose L1M2B2 for my one band band show and I'm happy to tell you guys that I think I finally found a great setup except for a HUM that I need your help to figure it out how I get rid of it. I'm coming out of the L2T to a channel in my Bose Tonematch console and it sounds exactly the same as the L2T which is what I was looking for BUT… there's a nasty hum that I need to get rid of… I tried a transformer XLR to 1/4" adapter going into the console but no luck the hum still there. Any help as to what I would need to get rid of this hum? Options? Basically that's all I need now so I can finalize this long journey with this dream rig and finally start giggin' thanks a lot to everyone that help me out from the beginning, I'm liking this system a lot for my one man band show Now please help me out get rid of this nasty hum once and for all cheers, Charles
  7. pugdealer I'm just trying to get the most compact system as possible. Right now I have the whole dream rig [JTV69/HD500x/L2T] and I like it a lot Just want to save my back and get all sounds coming from the same source... cheers, Charles
  8. Hi Looking to know if anyone is doing this pairing with good results and if you use the full amp settings or just the preamps thanks, Charles
  9. If you check closely it's a USA model so that could be as well…!
  10. Hi guys Just got the dream rig and I'm loving it BUT I need to know if there's a place I can find presets of the JTV models I'm looking mostly for acoustic presets already with EQ, compression that can sound better than stock just like the presets I can download for the HD500x... Sorry for the stupid question but I'm having so much fun with this dream rig and I was wondering if there are presets for the Variax as well... thanks again regards, Charles
  11. Hi guys Just ordered the nut sauce so hope it will cure my JTV69 tuning problems... I have 2 other questions... 1. Is there a place I can get acoustic guitars presets? I know I can get presets for the HD500X but how about any presets for acoustics… anyone? 2. Could you guys let me know the right way to setup the 500X with the L2T? I just want to double check that everything I did was right just in case I missed something like input impedance settings etc... thanks again cheers, Charles
  12. Any updates on the date you'll have them available for sale?
  13. Thanks Jandrio Didn't quite got B option…. Could you elaborate a little more? Will try tomorrow and see which method I prefer…. I have another question... Which way should I send the GTR signal to a PA from the L2T out or from the HD500x? thanks, Charles
  14. Hey guys This been non stop every day locked in my studio and I'M LOVING THIS SETUP…! The big secret here is the L2T… I have tried thru my amps, direct to PA and the L2T always comes on top Now for the JTV69, I will order the NUT SAUCE and see if that will solve my tuning problems. To be honest I was expecting the guitar to be OK just enough to go thru my solo show then use my other guitars with my band BUT the more I play it the more I like it and the neck carve is AWESOME… Feels really comfortable and I'm getting used to it…! I'm getting really nice tones that I was afraid it was going to be a bit difficult… Again the big winner here is the L2T It makes everything sounds believable and sits in the mix just right…! Now I need some guidance on how you guys do the "solo boost" with your 500x units Anyone care to help me out? This time around I'm more IN than OUT and it's been because of your help cheers, Charles
  15. Silverhead I had the cable connected… DUH I disconnected the USB and now the delay switching between presets is noticeably shorter and think it will work fine I'm getting to know the unit and mistakes are made… I'm about to finish my song list I will be performing and will start working with presets then Hope I can find a way to make it work since I'm liking what I'm hearing a lot with the 500X/L2T combo… BIG Difference in sound. Now the guitar is a bigger problem I will change strings tomorrow to GHS Boomers .10 - .46 and see if he problem is solved I'm starting to dig the meaty neck on the JTV69 a lot but keeping tuned is been difficult. A few weeks to feel confident around the 500X but it seems fine so far. thanks again for your help and comments cheers, Charles
  16. Hi It's long enough to make it kind of useless in a live situation. I might be doing something wrong here but when I switch between presets it says "Sync in progress" I did unhook the USB cable to see if there's any difference like you mentioned but it's the same. Could you guys please let me know if I'm doing something wrong or this is just normal I'm liking the sounds I'm getting from this system except the delay between presets and tuning this freaking guitar. thanks, Charles
  17. LATEST UPDATE... Don't get me wrong… I like this thing but two VERY IMPORTANT things [TO ME] keeps me from committing 100% to it. 1. The JTV69 is IMPOSSIBLE to keep in tune [i know there are options but come on something so ELEMENTAL, really? 2. The switching delay between presets is really hard to accept and I have tried a few thing to minimize it but unless I'm doing something wrong IT'S the Deal Breaker. On the good side of things: 1. The tonal advantages of the L2T versus going direct is really NOTICEABLE and a big improvement. 2. The Thread-plate sound is SCARY close to my friends Dual Rec and I'm in love with the tone If you guys know a way when switching presets that is faster and without the MUTE hiccup…. I'm ALL EARS thanks again regards, Charles
  18. Hi I'm thinking of getting the JTV59 in black. Another thing I forgot to mention is that I need a shorter scale guitar like the JTV59 I totally missed that on the JTV69 and it's a little difficult on the fingers after awhile. I'm getting really good sounds already on the 500X/L2T and I like it. I would like to keep the whole dream rig but the only thing I don't like is the lag between presets which is too long and kind of mutes the sound. Apart from that this is a killer system for sure Charles
  19. So far the best thing is the HD500X and the L2T which in Electric Guitar mode sounds incredible….! I can't say the same about the JTV69… Very close to send it back and grab me another GTR. Like the sounds I'm getting with my PRS McCarty so far…! C
  20. Well guys I found out something I don't like It takes a second to change from preset to preset and it just too damn long Is there a way to change this or fix this so the preset change would be inmmediate? If not then this could be a real deal breaker... Anyone care to help? C
  21. the L2T preset saving is pretty cool and it's working fine Now it's a matter to fine tune, name the patches and hoping the JTV stay in tune. So far what I've seen is more of an EQ juggling than anything else. basically that's how I see it because every change in cabinet, mic etc… is a preset of an EQ curve. Need to eat something I'm starving…. C
  22. Still with tuning problems I stretched the string like 200 times but still won't stay in tune for too long I think I'm getting some killers acoustic sounds and the Dr. Z amp sounds lovely Still need to know how to name the presets and save them so the L2T will change between acoustic and electric C
  23. After 4 straight hours of intense knowledge search I'm liking this thing Still need to learn and discover WAY more but still in stage NEWBIE… The real deal is in a band setting to know if this thing cuts the mustard…! So far I'm loving the PhD Motorway, Fender Deluxe and the Acoustic simulation after a few EQ tweaks. I'm positive but still a lot to learn... C
  24. After registering and updating everything… I'm having a lot of fun with this thing…! If I can only get this guitar to stay in tune... :) C
