  1. That is exactly what I want to do (Hypergravity in la2a simulation after stomp). Any progress with finding a good Hypergravity setting since this post that you might want to share?
  2. HXStomp XL 3.15 - I get a trigger for 'next snapshot' on both press and release of an external footswitch FS8 if I link the function 'snapshot up' to FS8 function through global settings. If I do this within a preset via the command center I can choose 'press and hold' and then press works as expected and gives next snapshot and I also can use the hold function for something else. But I do not want to set this manually in each and every preset again, I would like it to be set globally, as that is what I bought the footswitch for. Is there a way to set FS7 and FS8 globally to 'press and hold'? Or is there any other global solution? If not, then it would maybe be nice to add this choice to the FS7/8 assignment global menu in a next update? Cheers, Chris
  3. Hi all, The aux in feature is a great feature. It is the 2nd means of running a background track through the Pod Go. The other option being the USB 1/2 audio in. But unlike the USB in the Aux in lacks a level adjustment option. Also it seems that in general the aux in seems to come in at a relatively low level, cpompared to the level of all the guitar patches (several of the comments here and from own experience). Even trying to fool the system by changing the return level from 'line' to 'instrument' was not sufficient. The only way dealing with this now is to adjust the level of all 256 patches individually. This can not be the intention of this feature. So I have suggested this extra feature in 'ideascale' for the next firmware update. Please vote if you agree! What is needed is a global level adjustment for either model signal chain output or for the 'aux in'. If possible the latter seems the better choice as for signal to noise ratio. I oculd be done in a similar way in the general settings as is done for the USB audio in. If you agree please vote as well. Cheers, Chris
  4. = Catch 22 for line6. They could do it as with the STOMP and help the people who accept the fact that it is what it is in terms of DSP power for this price, but also they would run the risk of some people abusing the fiftth block for a second heavy DSP block, only to run even quicker into DSP limits and then starting an avalanche of complaints and negative vibes for this device. Some other of the milion choices line6 had to make: -how much free blocks to allow = (2 and never run into DSP limits or 4 or more and run less or more times into DSP limits -how much DSP and RAM to put in for what price -etc. They had to do that also for the STOMP,Helix (LT) etc. (ANd then try to offer a range with a good fit to all of us) For me personally the GO came out nicely, just ordered one, and I think I will have lot of fun with using it (and exploring its limits/squeezing out the last bit of DSP power), like I did with the POD 2, POD XT, AMplifi and Firehwak. (Home noodler, hardky remembering the last in stage activity).
  5. Hi all, If indeed the aux-in provides enough sound quality after external sound processing without blowing up the tweeters, then a stomp as proposed would indeed do the job. But aren't there already stomps in there that we could use in this role? E.g. the equalizer (especially when it is put after the amp just before the delay. and reverb) should be in the same path as the delay and reverb you have heard coming from the full range speakers? or maybe the delay or reverb with a somewhat onrothodox mixer setting? As soon as my PRS SE Thinline ( B)) is back from the shop I will try to find out myself and report on this. Cheers, Chris
  6. Hmm, I need to test some more to confirm your VirtiualBox / WMWare observations. I can confirm that I see the syncing recurring every time, but way faster than 5 minutes (on Android Minix x8 tv box). I have the two units 5 m apart with some obstruction of the line of sight of a couch. The connection is stable most of the time after just powering up both.I noticed bluetooth hickups and connection problems after moving the couch to obstruct more or after putting an electronic device close to the minix. But most of the time it works fine, even though I also use a wireless audio link for the guitar of which the receiver sits on top the Amplifi 150 unit. It is a pity you have these troubles as I am having generally a great deal of fun with the setup. That is also why I did not find enough time to test all these configs yet: I works quite nice with the Minix already.
  7. Great to see more people are on this, so we can find out the optimal choice of hard and software to make this work really smooth soon. Yep, my first experience were similar. The bluetooth connection seems less stable on my machines with the virtual machine approach, when compared to my available Android machine (Minix x8 TV Box and Samsung S3 mini). So far I was hoping that this was a problem of the specific hardware I was using. Bummer to hear that you have similar experience with a different VM tool and probably different hardware rtoo. Anyways I will try more hardware combinations and VM software as well. It is good to know that the Bluetooth functionality of the VM software only appeared in their last updates, so these additions are quite young and there is a chance that we get improved versions in their next updates. Current options: VirtualBox (Free) VMWare (Paid Pro) Parallels (OS X only, Paid, Pro) BlueStacks (Free,simple, smooth, just Android, Android Apps appear as tiles in the windows 8.1 start screen, you hardly notice the virtual machine shell, but NO BT ports forwarding yet)
  8. You probably need to disable the internal bluetooth device and use an external USB dongle Bluetooth device instead. I got this working on a windows host device with virtualbox and reported about it in another post. Should work similarly on OS X devices. Unfortunately this is not as easy in OS X as it is in windows. It involves some super user linux tweaking. I did not try yet myself, but probably will do this on a MacBook Air running Yosemite in the coming weeks. For all of those who, like me, are waiting for the native Windows Amplifi Remote App: there is a way to run the Android version on windows and /or OS X systems. :) Install the latest version of VirtualBox and the matching extension package (Free) and create a virtual machine running the latest version of Android that is available as x86 ISO package. Than use you google account to get the Amplifi app from Google Play and you are all done. There is one glitch: it might be that this is not working with your built in Bluetooth hardware and in that case you have to disable it and use a USB bluetooth dongle. (To get ANdroid running I mainly followed the recipe given in this blog: http://www.fixedbyvonnie.com/2014/02/install-android-4-4-kitkat-windows-using-virtualbox/ Thanks Vonnie!) I currently have it running on a windows 8.1 tablet (EP121) and PC. I was running the app uptil now on my Minix TV Box. Allthough it was rather cool to have the largest guitar tuner in the world on my 40" TV Screen, the none-portability of my TV is less practical. But for you who did not think of it directly (like me): there is a good chance that your TV Box runs Android and you canb simply ionstall the app on it. I am also testing on a MacBook Air.(Here disabling the internal BlueTooth needs some hard core tweaking as Apple has drifted far away form it's open approach of the legendary Apple i and II for which they even supplied the source code of the bios in the manual). And once more: dear LINE 6 People. Surprise us with a native windows app. You will not only make your windows eco system users very happy! Not only that, but you also will be rewarded soon with a huge possible increase in fanbase as your Windows 10 App will work on Windows Tablets, Windows Desktops, WIndows Phones (from cheapest of $70 to the Apple 6 rivals costing half of what Apple charges), Windows TV Boxes, WIndows Remote Controls, Windows Foot Pedals and WIndows Washing Machines for all I care, as the windows 10 kernel will be the SAME for all these devices. This also means that Windows Apps can and will not be ignored anymore by the global app makers (including you) as up til now. So I hope that you are already on it and, in trademark Line 6 style, will surprise us unanounced with a native Windows app next week. And if not: please get moving!

I already got Amplifi App working in Bluestacks, only to discover that Bluestacks is not supporting throughput of Bluetooth. Should work in Virtualbox or VMware though. I will try to figure this out as soon as soon as I have some time. As far as usb recording goes: somebody already reported running a (free) recording software under Ubuntu on a windows machine.
