  1. Common issues that have been seen with Helix drivers 1.97 on Windows: 1. Driver signature issue that prevents Helix digital audio & ASIO from working on Windows 7, or 8. 2. Driver may cause the DAW Cakewalk to crash on Windows 10. 3. Variax guitar isn't being recognized by Workbench HD when connected via the Helix. Helix drivers 1.97 are commonly installed with newer versions of HX Edit. This is selected to installed by default. Solution: Try uninstalling the Helix driver 1.97 following these instructions with the Helix connected with USB: Once the driver is uninstalled, install driver 1.96 with this link, then restart your machine: https://line6.com/software/readeula.html?rid=10306 You may also want to reset your global settings on the Helix, Helix LT: Reset Globals: Hold footswitches 5 + 6 while powering on.
  2. Hi dear, sorry if it's stupid or already managed question. I would like to buy the Line 6 POD Go, but I'm struggling to find if it will work correctly with WIn7-64 bit. Any experience about this? Thanks, Claudio
  3. A quick note that I hope might be useful to others. I bought a Helix LT this week. The driver software loaded fine onto a couple of laptops but I couldn't get it to install on my main Windows 7 PC. The Helix showed up as a device in "Devices and Printers" but was reported by WIndows as unusable and that the driver had failed to load. It appears that my copy of Windows had loaded a generic USB device driver instead of the L6 software. Anyway, after several fruitless exchanges with L6 support, I found the fix myself. You need to go to the Helix device shown in Device Manager, click on Properties, click on Driver, tell it to "Update Driver" and install the driver manually from the folder: Programs (x86)/ Line6/ Tools/ Driver2 Archive/ Helix. Windows will identify the ".inf" file in that folder as the correct driver. Click on that and you should be good to go. I suspect it's an unusual problem inasmuch as one of my laptop installs was also Win 7 and went perfectly smoothly. Nevertheless, I hope this may help someone. Now I can get back to trying to get the Helix to play nicely with my DT25.......... Andy
  4. Having an issue with getting drivers installed for my new Amplifi FX100. As soon as I plug in i get the Drivers installed correctly for Amplifi FX100 in the bottom right corner, then a second lat my screen goes to the blue screen of death. Has anyone else had this issue I get nothing from my PC telling me what happened. Uninstalled, reinstalled several times to the same issue. I have no problem with my UX1. I would like to be able to use it to record but I can not get it installed on the PC (windows 7) Jeff
  5. For all of those who, like me, are waiting for the native Windows Amplifi Remote App: there is a way to run the Android version on windows and /or OS X systems. :) Install the latest version of VirtualBox and the matching extension package (Free) and create a virtual machine running the latest version of Android that is available as x86 ISO package. Than use you google account to get the Amplifi app from Google Play and you are all done. There is one glitch: it might be that this is not working with your built in Bluetooth hardware and in that case you have to disable it and use a USB bluetooth dongle. (To get ANdroid running I mainly followed the recipe given in this blog: http://www.fixedbyvonnie.com/2014/02/install-android-4-4-kitkat-windows-using-virtualbox/ Thanks Vonnie!) I currently have it running on a windows 8.1 tablet (EP121) and PC. I was running the app uptil now on my Minix TV Box. Allthough it was rather cool to have the largest guitar tuner in the world on my 40" TV Screen, the none-portability of my TV is less practical. But for you who did not think of it directly (like me): there is a good chance that your TV Box runs Android and you canb simply ionstall the app on it. I am also testing on a MacBook Air.(Here disabling the internal BlueTooth needs some hard core tweaking as Apple has drifted far away form it's open approach of the legendary Apple i and II for which they even supplied the source code of the bios in the manual). And once more: dear LINE 6 People. Surprise us with a native windows app. You will not only make your windows eco system users very happy! Not only that, but you also will be rewarded soon with a huge possible increase in fanbase as your Windows 10 App will work on Windows Tablets, Windows Desktops, WIndows Phones (from cheapest of $70 to the Apple 6 rivals costing half of what Apple charges), Windows TV Boxes, WIndows Remote Controls, Windows Foot Pedals and WIndows Washing Machines for all I care, as the windows 10 kernel will be the SAME for all these devices. This also means that Windows Apps can and will not be ignored anymore by the global app makers (including you) as up til now. So I hope that you are already on it and, in trademark Line 6 style, will surprise us unanounced with a native Windows app next week. And if not: please get moving!
  6. I have tried connecting the amplifi 150 to my windows 7 enterprise 64 via bluetooth and the provided drivers in v1.77 do not work. I've attached a screen shot showing as much info as possible. I am running Intel® Wireless Bluetooth® for Windows 7 Version: 20.30.0 (Latest). It is a Dell Latitude e5540. After adding a new Bluetooth device my computer recognizes it as AMPLIFi_150_56. It states This device has been successfully added to this computer and beneath that it gives a message windows is now checking for drivers and will install them if necessary. You may need to wait for this to finish before your device is ready to use. I get the small pop up screen showing Driver Software Installation and within it It does reach out to windows updates and installs: -standard serial over blue tooth link (com4) -standard serial over blue tooth link (com5) -Advanced Audio Distribution Profile(sink) but then fails when trying to install -Bluetooth peripheral device The hardware IDS for this shows BTHENUM\{00000000-deca-fade-deca-deafdecacaff}_VID&00020e41_PID&5061 BTHENUM\{00000000-deca-fade-deca-deafdecacaff}_LOCALMFG&0002 Under Compatible Ids BTHENUM\{00000000-deca-fade-deca-deafdecacaff} ConfigFlags 00000040 CONFIGFLAG_FAILEDINSTALL \Device\000000b9 Install Error There is no driver selected for the device information set or element. E0000203 This is the only device under my device manager that shows with a yellow exclamation. I have all windows updates and my laptop has all the latest firmware installed. I've completely disabled my Symantec antivirus and tried installing this. Anyone ever get this working? I'm a network administrator for large company and have never had this much issue ever installing a simple driver let alone connecting a bluetooth device.
  7. Is there a way to get the HD500 Edit window full screen on Windows 7?
  8. Hi there, I really would like to use the Helix USB interface within my DAW (I use Reaper on Windows 7) alongside my desktop audio interface, to which my monitors are connected. From what I found online the only way to do that is using Asio4All instead of the native ASIO drivers. Sadly, the interface I currently use does not play nicely at all with asio4all and the helix. I have Behringer UMC202HD which I bought as a pure monitoring solution and for the occasional amp DI recording. Trying to use it in conjunction with the Helix in Asio4All results in all kinds of crackling, popping, skipping, you name it, no matter what settings I choose. I'd like to know if anyone here can name suitable interfaces that work together with the Helix and Asio4All. I don't need many I/O-channels; one or two inputs, two symmetrical outputs and a headphone out (preferably with its own volume knob), and I don't really want to spend hundreds of Euros either. So, can anyone name (small) interfaces that are known to work with asio4all and the Helix? Thanks! P.S. connecting the monitors to the Helix is not an option for various reasons (cable management at my desktop and the lower XLR and 1/4" outs on the Helix not reachable [there's an isolation transformer blocking those in the pedalcase] being the major ones).
  9. I was searching on how to set up my PC sound options to using my PC speakers instead of a headset plugged into the pod (in my case POD Studio GX). My friend who recomended this hardware to me said he has it set up this was, but didn't remember how. So I searched the manual, the knowledgebase and the forum but found nothing. I called the hotline and while waiting, the recorded voice told me, that the line 6 pods can not do what I wanted, not without a cable connected from the headset jack to the line in of the soundcard in the computer. As I am using a 5.1 soundsystem, that "line in" is used as one of the "line out" to the soundsystem, so that's not an option to me. But I didn't let myself be discouraged and finally I found the option I was looking for! First make sure, you set up the software as recomended, so you have sound via the headset plugged into the pod. Don't tweak around before you have that, or you will never find out, where the problem is. Now go to your Soundsetup in Windows (7 in my case) and select the pod as standard recording device. Open it's properties and select the second folder (I'm sorry, my windows interface is german, there it's called "Abhören" which should translate as something like monitoring) and check the box next to "use this device as playbacksource" (again aproximatly translated) Maybe someone would be so kind and answer with the correct english windows terms are, or what to select in other windows/mac/whatever versions.
  10. hello there i was trying to stream on twitch for my friends what im doing in fl studio like normally i use ux2 as my main device in fl studio but everytime i use it in fl studio it doesnt give any output to windows insteed it send everything directly to my headphones when i watch videos or speak to my friends the green bar at audio settings from windows outputs jump up but when i use the ux2 in fl studio the green output bar doesnt jump up what should i do ? is it a ux2 failure or is it about fl studio?? i upload 2 pics so you can see what i mean
  11. hello there :) i thought about to ask you guys what my problem could be i use a Line 6 UX2 in FL Studio to get a better latency , today i thought about to stream on twitch for my friends but the problem was as long as i use the UX2 in FL Studio the green bar at audio settings of windows (outputs) didnt move up so that means the sound goes from fl studio directly into my heaphones and dont even cross windows 7 the big "BUT" i use the ux2 as my main soundcard so i watch youtube videos and talk to my friends so when i watch a video and hear the sound with the ux2 but the green bar at windows outputs move up so this means all these stuff except the fl studio sound i can stream and record with camtasia 8 but why is it like that? what can i do? and what should i buy (what kind of interface)? i post 2 pics 1 with ux2 (no output at windows) 1 without ux2 (output at windows)
  12. Hello friends I'm new here and I don't know whether I write in right topic or not I have a UX2 interface for 3 years and I have some problems with it. I use it for arranging music Sometimes when I use some VSTs, audio drops and after closing and reopening DAW (cubase or sonar), it can't detect ASIO UX2 and I must restart computer Other problem is that many times when I unplug and plug its USB, windows freezes and I must reset it. why unpluging interface must cause problems? I update my drivers via line 6 monkey Must I change my interface? This is my computer's features: CPU: Core i5 4440 RAM: 4*4 (16) GB Motherboard: Asus H97 Pro Windows 7 x64 Thanks
  13. Hey folks. I just purchased a used UX-1 off of reverb.com. Unfortunately, the seller didn't provide me with any software or drivers. I downloaded everything I apparently need from the Line 6 site, but POD Farm will not open properly and I get a mysterious error message when I attempt to run it (see attached image.) I'm hoping it's a simple matter of downloading a missing file or some such, and not something more serious, like a PC issue. That'd be just my luck. I hope someone has some wisdom to offer. Thanks!
  14. I am a new owner of a used POD HD500 and I am really enjoying it for synthesizer keyboard sounds. I have a problem that I could not find an answer to in the forums. I have been having problems using two different USB sound devices. Neither of these is running off of a hub as recommended by Line 6. I am using a POD HD500 on Windows 7 32-bit and the problem began just after installing the full suite of 4.2.7.6 drivers via Line 6 Monkey. Maybe that isn't the problem, because it is intermittent and I suspect Windows is part of the problem. Before the upgrade I was able to use both a Lexicon Alpha sound card with its own ASIO driver for playback as well as the HD POD ASIO drivers for playback of a more expressive suite of sounds. I used a hardware switch to isolate all of the sound connections except the USB feed to each of the units. The problem is playback on other applications suddenly have no sound at all after the HD POD500 is used. Even if the HD POD500 is turned off, trying to open a Windows application like Audacity result in a message like "The device is being used by another application - Please close the application". This message still appears even if the HD POD is turned off and disconnected from the computer. So either the connection is really on (doubtful since the HD POD device no longer shows in Windows control panel, or Windows is just having a snit because it doesn't know the connection has been turned off. The only way surefire way I have found to make this problem go away is to reboot the computer, which is a royal PITA. The message appears to be a Windows memory conflict problem so I have been selectively disabling startup services each time I reboot. The last startup service that was disabled was Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service. Whatever that is. So far the problem hasn't reared its ugly head. So maybe that was it. I would be interested in knowing if others are having this problem and how it was solved.
  15. Just got Pod Studio GX out of the box last night. New, from Amazon. Installed Pod Farm 2.59 on two computers -- mine (Windows 10 Home), and roomie's (Win 7 Home Premium). He has a literal TON more amps, cabs, effects in his version. Mine shows three guitar amps -- just three! Noticed in the license manager, roomie's PC shows Pod Farm 1 & 2, and Propellor Record as registered to the GX. On mine, I only show Pod Farm 2. Obviously, I'd like to have all the goodies on my PC that my roomie has. Anyone have some tips, links? Any help appreesh! -jp
  16. Hey, I made this post because this is something I have been having troubles with over 3-4 years. I have had many problems with the toneport UX2 version (I work with a windows 7 64 bit system). But two problems have never gone away: a crackling popping sound after X number of seconds and after a couple of hours it would crash and freeze my volume, making me restart the computer. In my case I noticed that the crackling sound may appeared when I was doing something on windows. After searching a lot of forums I found a program that could analyze the DPC latency of a system: go here http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml It will give you information if your system can handle real-time audio/video service. By disabling devices in device manager one after another, I had found my problem for the crackling sound. After disabling my ethernet driver it dropped right into green and I have never heard a crackling sound again. After a day the volume bar hasn't crashed either. After research I think this comes because windows cannot handle a continues data stream over USB. This comes from a security update with a bug. You can try to restart the audio service through CMD with the following commands: net stop audiosrv net stop AudioEndpointBuilder net start audiosrv net start AudioEndpointBuilder The idea is that you don't have to restart your computer but just your audio drivers. I'm just really happy that I can listen to music without ANY crackling/popping noise and just enjoy this good audio card. I hope I helped some people with this, because it sure did help me. Bye!
  17. Hi everyone, I purchased FBV Express MkII and I want change settings on Line6 FBV Control. And here I have big problem. I can do new settings and save their in My Document ( on Windows 7 ) but I can't use this settings on my MkII. I don't see any options in this program which let mi save my settings on my board. 18. Hello, it's the first time i'm asking for help in this forum.I own a line 6 ux1 and i'm pretty happy with it.I am also running a Sony Vaio 64bit laptop.Everything works fine. I just have one question.I want to format my laptop and put the same genuine windows cause it's been a mess lately. Can i format my laptop and then have pod farm active again? The license key is as i know for one computer..but we are talking about the same machine..but just after a format..we'll i have any issues and in the end have no activated product?I guess i will not have any issues with ux1 right? Please Help, Thanks in advance!
  19. I have a Windows 7 computer running Cubase 8 Pro and I'm using a Pod HD Pro for guitars. My question is this: Is it possible to set up the Pod HD Pro as the audio interface and use it for zero latency monitoring of my effected signal along with Cubase playback while, at the same time, recording a totally dry signal for reamping later? I would appreciate any help I could get. Thanks,
  20. The product is the Line 6 UX-1 audio interface; I could not find a menu to register that product. the serial number (I'm assuming SN is that) is (21) [serial removed]. ASIO driver (Windows 7) won't write the audio that I hear through POD Farm. I also tested my amp and get a lot of background static with the 15 watt Line 6 Spyder IV amp. So far my experiments to troubleshoot involved researching how to get Audacity to write audio, That would require using a recompiled version of Audacity for ASIO driver support. That is the crux of what I need help with, I can use POD tones entirely if the amp is just staticky or needs maintenance first. I've gotten the audio waveforms in Reaper and Sonar 8, so I know that it can detect the input. It simply won't write to disk. This might be asking a bit much, but I'd also like support to get my keyboard working sicne that encountered driver issues as well. I've included all information in my Support Profile for OS, drivers, etc. Thank you in advance, after I get the drivers working everything should go smoothly! Love Line 6 guitar tones!
  21. hi all, thought after years of owning the vetta 2 HD that i would try out monkey and EDIT. unfortunately it wouldn't launch. The line 6 logo pops up for about 3 seconds then the logo disappears and then nothing. task manager says nothing is running. im running windows 7 64 bit and have heard that may be the issue? i installed the java that line 6 edit recommends (believe its 6?) tried to uninstall and reinstall and all that to no avail, did some research and couldn't find any answers.... any help would be great. thanks! :)
  22. I have some problems with Guitar Port and Gear Box since I upgrated my Windows from XP to 7 version. The metronome and player section in Gear Box does'n work now and I often have no sound at all on my copmuter untill I disconnect and connect again Guitar Port. Any ideas?
  23. I have tried looking everywhere for a solution to my problem. I'm running a standard 1/4 cable from my guitar to the Pro X. I am then running two 1/4 uncompressed signals into a Scarlett 2i2, which I WILL continue using. From the Scarlett outputs, I have 2 JBL 305's. I can hear the guitar only when the direct monitoring feature is used. No other sounds play from these speakers. I have chosen the 2i2 as my playback device in Windows as well as the ASIO driver in Cubase. Both of these units are connected direcly to the computer via USB. Cubase does not recognize the guitar sound, for the mix console shows nothing playing. All drivers are up to date and I am running out of ideas. I tried a Yamaha MX49 keyboard and it ended up recording in Cubase but there is still no playback sound. I've even gone as far as completely taking the 2i2 out of the equation (Speakers plugged into the POD) and Cubase did recognize the sound but I continued to not get playback sound. I appreciate any help I can get. Thank you.
  24. Hi All - first ever post from me. I play Guitar and Bass at home through my PC via an old Guitarport interface with Gearbox. I simply play for pleasure and play along with MP3 backing tracks. My question is - is there a better PC-based rig? can I upgrade and to what?? I look at Pod Farm and wonder how complicated it is compared to gearbox - has anyone traded up from Guitarport and have the sounds been better? Thanks in advance, Pyrolator
  25. Ableton and Riffstation softwares were not in my brand new box of studio UX2. Where can I get them from? Also, I have no one else to go to for help. I am trying this recording stuff for the first time and its just driving me crazy. I am tired, No matter what I do, I can get my guitars to start recording. When I use Reaper (free version), I can record my guitar with both my POD HD 500 & Studio UX2 which I got today. But none would run in Cubase v.5. I also tried them with Reason v.5, where although I can see the bars go green when I start playing, I just cant get to start recording or see the graphical sound chart like the one which comes in Reaper. Someone, anyone, please help me ! Also, what is MIDI interface, and how can I use it to record guitars. My intention is to simply record live guitar, maybe loop a drum track of my choice, and add some effects like bells, etc. Any help would be much appreciated.
