  1. Installed drivers, Firehawk FX connects and shows as interface, plug in guitar cable and it fails to recognize the device. Running Sonar Producer Edition 3.
  2. Cakewalk By BandLab is here. Free. Available for Windows now. [4/4/2018] You can read about it here. Cakewalk By BandLab Announcement Not sure how many folks used Sonar, but if people are looking for a power DAW to use Native, Cakewalk (now by Bandlab) is free. I don't know what their future plans are as they have to make money somehow, but for those of us that have been using Cakewalk for 25+ years, this is great news. I just wanted to share that Native works well in this new version of Cakewalk.. really well. at least for me. Also, this is NOT a stripped down version. This is the full-blown, top-o-line Platinum version they have released.
  3. I am using the Helix as an Audio Interface after my 'trusty'!!! A & H Firewire desk no longer wanted to communicate with my DAW. Firstly I cant seem to record from the pc or Internet directly into my daw for some reason, any ideas why?(eg you tube to Cakewalk). Secondly am I able to record from an cassette player (2 ins r and l) as my dad recently passed and im trying to record onto pc his live recordings? Many Thanks.
  4. 10 Launch Sonar, go to 'Edit -> Preferences -> File -> VST Settings' 2) Make sure the correct location is added to the VST Scan Paths. The Location of plug-ins files depend on your setting during installation. The default location is 64 bits - C:\Program Files\VstPlugins 3) If the steps above are not working, try the scan button in the Scan options to re-scan the target folders.
  5. Hello pod'ers!! I hope you can help me... (please) I am attempting to record using this awesome PODHD500X into a FOCUSRITE 18i20 audio interface and then to my pc (usb) (pc is brand spanking new: i7, 16GB RAM, ssd, etc... I have invested heavily in all new equipment as I was tired of using my old stuff and tired of troubleshooting :( Anywho, the sound when I play hearing from the monitor is great! but when I record there is a really bad feedback in playback... sounds almost like a flanger delay but it's distorted and it doesn't matter whether I play clean or distorted... which really stinks because everything else records great from my focusrite except this pod :(... pod sounds good directly (using headphones) or using the audio interface.. it only happens while recording.... I am using the balanced xlr outputs into 2 channels into focusrite (I also attempted using one channel only... it doesn't matter, the background noise is there... it records the sound I play but also this really bad background flanger noise... please help!!)... don't make me call tech support  ... any recommendation is welcome!! (specially if it relates to the subject)... **Also, do you think I should update the firmware for this pod? if so, is there a direct URL... when I click on the ones on the site takes me to the shop but I see no download for this firmware.... Thanks much again!!!
  6. The product is the Line 6 UX-1 audio interface; I could not find a menu to register that product. the serial number (I'm assuming SN is that) is (21) [serial removed]. ASIO driver (Windows 7) won't write the audio that I hear through POD Farm. I also tested my amp and get a lot of background static with the 15 watt Line 6 Spyder IV amp. So far my experiments to troubleshoot involved researching how to get Audacity to write audio, That would require using a recompiled version of Audacity for ASIO driver support. That is the crux of what I need help with, I can use POD tones entirely if the amp is just staticky or needs maintenance first. I've gotten the audio waveforms in Reaper and Sonar 8, so I know that it can detect the input. It simply won't write to disk. This might be asking a bit much, but I'd also like support to get my keyboard working sicne that encountered driver issues as well. I've included all information in my Support Profile for OS, drivers, etc. Thank you in advance, after I get the drivers working everything should go smoothly! Love Line 6 guitar tones!
