Trying to set up my HX to work as an interface. I'm using Reaper on Windows 8. I keep getting this error code showing up. Have tried redownloading the driver and using ASIO4All, but nothing seems to fix it. The error says "error loading ASIO driver" Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do to fix it?

hello, I would like to control the HX Effects with Reaper (DAW). In fact I would like to create a midi track in my Reaper project (I work with a drum machine in Reaper) and insert tags that automatically trigger the effects of the HX Effect during the song, so that I don't have to use the footswitch when i play guitar. Has anyone done this kind of programming before and could help me? Thanks in advance

Hello there! I'm at the beginning of starting my guitar cover videos, and I heard about preset changing through MIDI without having to use the footswitches. (I'm using Reaper) How can i achieve it, that when i'm recording my guitar my preset changes through MIDI automatically? Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone, I’m new to both the Helix and DAW’s, and I’m having a really frustrating time trying to get started with REAPER. I have Windows 10 and the most recent REAPER (6.77) as well as Helix 3.50. I believe I’ve got the proper Global Settings as far as ins/outs and routing. I’ve also got the Native plug-in running and open in a track within Reaper, recording armed and record monitoring on. I feel like I’ve matched as many preferences and numbers as I can as far as I can between the system settings, reaper settings and ASIO Helix settings. I think I could just use a reset and some serious help getting started. I’m sure posts like this have been made, so I greatly appreciate any patience and willingness to help. I hear this is an awesome community and I’m excited to be a part of it! Looking forward to hearing from you!

I have been using a Windows 7 laptop with Reaper as my DAW and the HX Stomp has my audio interface for sometime now. I recently upgraded Hx edit to 3.51 and now I can’t get Reaper to recognize the HX stomp. the stomp is running 3.50 and the Hx Edit is 3.51. I’ve tried uninstalling both Hx edit and reinstalling multiple times. Also reinstalled Reaper with no success. any help appreciated. thx. brad

I've got a little MIDI problem I'm having trouble with... I have a Reaper project set up for the set list of my band. In it I have a MIDI track that is routed to my Helix Rack via a USB connection. There are MIDI items for each song. And within each I'm calling a preset via Program Change on the Helix. Then I'm using CC messages to select snapshots in different parts of the song. Most of the time things work fine, but the Helix pulls up the wrong patch in the middle of a song sometimes - like it was sent a bad message and reverts to an earlier one. Or like the MIDI item in Reaper is programmed incorrectly (but I'm 99% sure it's not...). Anyone seen similar issues? Not sure if this is a Reaper or Helix problem, or both...

So I've been using Reaper forever with various versions and up until today, I've had no problems. Now I load a project I was working on yesterday and when I try to select the POD HD500 driver in the dropdown it says "No ASIO Drivers Found!" and shows no I/O selection options. I already uninstalled/removed from registry/reinstalled Line 6 Drivers via Monkey and direct download I have uninstalled all other ASIO device drivers (TASCAM US-1800, AudioBox 2x2) Tried installing ASIO4All---still doesn't show up Uninstalled/reinstalled Reaper (tried with old versions and the newest) Still get the "No ASIO Drivers Found!" message Anyone have any other ideas? I'm not really looking forward to reinstalling my whole OS and all my plugins to get Reaper to work. I can use Cubase LE, WaveLab, or Studio One Artist with the drivers no problem (including ASIO4ALL).

Hi guys, I'm using reaper, and it cannot detect my mic through the the dedicated mic input on the ux1. I've checked the drivers on Monkey and they are all up to date. The mic gain is turned all the way up. I've also tried switching Input: mono from left to right and still no result. The microphone itself works, as I can run it through the guitar input. Can anybody help me with this? Best wishes, Ben

I have noticed that when using Helix as audio interface with Reaper that if I shut off the Helix while Reaper is still running, that the computer goes to a blue screen, and says something about a fatal error and starts gathering info to send to Microsoft. Then the computer does a complete restart. I haven't tried shutting down Reaper first but it's still odd behavior. Anyone else experience this? It's a Windows 10 computer. The only other thing that could be mixed up in this is the fact that I have two sets of speakers. One set is XLR from the Helix and the other set is computer speakers from the RCA jack on back of PC. So there are Realtek drivers for the computer speakers and Helix drivers for the Focal monitors. One other thing here that might help some users with a different issue. I noticed loud crack or pop sounds from my new Focal monitors that almost scared me out of my chair the first few times. I thought I might damage the monitors. Turns out that Realtek standard driver appears to have a power down function to save power if the speaker is not used for a period of time. This also happened on my computer monitors but less noticeable. If you don't use any audio for about 3-5 minutes power is cut and then re-ingaged when you start a video or start playiing.....So through Dell I found that there is a high definition driver from Realtek that doesn't have this problem plus he installed Max Audio Pro to manage the audio connections which may or may not help. I have also disabled power saving on USB ports as an after thought because sometimes when I walk away from the computer for longer periods and come back to Reaper and Helix, the connection is broken and HX EDit doesn't work nor does Reaper if I remember correctly. I also think that Microsoft updates can screw up the driver configuration I have now...so watch for that....if needed.

Hi Guys. Ive had a UX1 since pod farm 1.0 maybe 13 years ago at a guess. I recently tried to start using plugins in reaper with IRs and also standalone Amp sims like Cali Suite by Neural DSP using my UX1 as the interface. But I've run into some crazy electrical noise I've never had before on both of these am sims with IRs loaders builtnit. I normal using podfarm for scratch tracks. I've tried the usual changing cables etc. But I cant figure out where its coming from so I am wondering if is possibly the UX1 itself. Also Is it possible for these super old interfaces to run IR based sounds? Just wondering as if not its about time I bought an upgrade. Asside from my PC components (PC is a pc specialist build) im not sure what else it could be so I am hoping y'all have some ideas? I can supply samples if needed. Much appreciated!

Hello beautiful people of the internet, I am having an issue that seems to be related to the ASIO Driver for POD go. When trying to sync with reaper, the driver doesn't register any inputs and reaper displays a message of "error initialising asio driver". Has anyone experienced the same issue and had a solution? Thanks

No more. Just no more. I f*cking tired of this. Brand New laptop with win 10= blue screen of death. I tried literally everything, Just everything. And it goes to bsod again and again. Really? When i bought it i thought it's a dream machine. Now i see, that it is a piece of garbage. Dear line 6 support, i hope when you die, and you want to go to the heaven, you ll see bsod every f*cking time, when you try to do so. And i hope your company will vanish into dust for such sh*tty customer service. I'll switch to another interface, because i want to make music, not lollipop with settings, drivers, and all sh*t! Best community, f*cked corporation.

Kinda scared to try again as fir My computer it is the newest of the new! ryzen 9 3900k 570 motherboard rtx2080 vid 48 gigs ram and all nvme or ssd drives. it has never done this before so I am just being carefull not to lose anything and I am backing everything up before trying again!

Hello, I have recently started using HELIX Floor as the interface between my laptop and Reaper via USB and been well impressed with the results. However, I do have a little issue. When hooked-up as described, switching presets on the HELIX (using foot-switches or the presets knob) Reaper receives a "Play" command. Not too much of an issue if the presets are next to each other, but a real pain if scrolling thru a set-list when they are spaced a number of places apart. There is only one preset on the device which has some of the foot-switches configured to "talk" to Reaper i.e. "Play" "Stop" "Record", but it is not being used in this instance. Can anyone throw any light on what might be causing this behaviour? Firmware 2.92 Reaper v6.13 Windows 10 Steve

Hi, I have question. I have audio interface (lexicon alpha studio) and pair of Yamaha HS50 Monitors. Is it possible to set Line 6 Pod Go to record DI Signal (unprocessed/clean) and in that same time monitor selected output from POD GO in DAW on monitors? Let's say - I have project on Reaper DAW with drums, bass etc already recorded. But i dont want to record processed guitar sound (so i can mix it later with 3rd party plugins or reamp through POD GO). So what i want, is to have live monitoring of my preset/chain from POD GO (but signal to be recorded in clean DI). Is that possible?

Like the title says, Windows 10 kept crashing multiple times today when I tried to record someting i Reaper. It just went to blue screen. VERY ANOYING. I´ve seen simular threads like this but without a fix. How do I fix this? I´ve reinstalled Line 6 drivers aswell as Windows for sound. No results. The pod HD500 is my only recording interface.

Hey , I recently bought a Pod HD 500 and dont know much about it. I want to know the basics of recording through the pod hd 500 on reaper. Do I use the conventional high gain presets for recording or should I make new presets for recording? If i have to make a new one then how to? How to record the completely dry signal of the guitar to the reaper DAW? And how to lessen the latency and buffers? I just need a guideline for the basics of recording through it :D PS:I dont own any audio interface I just want to Record the guitars through my pod via USB Thanks in advance ^_^

I'm driving myself nuts here. I'm recording voiceovers. I have a physical hardware setup which is great (big and heavy), but I'm trying to integrate everything into my HP Spectre Tablet and UX2 so if I have to take it on the road, no problem! So standalone Podfarm is great, I can throw a noise gate and compressor on there and when I speak, it comes back through the headphones on the UX2 (wet) with zero latency, and sounds great. But attempting to record it inside the computer has been a nightmare. I've had to check out new daws and learn how to load Podfarm as a plugin, and it always has too much latency. I've tried Reaper and adjusting the settings to be the lowest latency. It's still too slow and sounds horrible in the headphones to the point where I can't tell the quality of the recording. It seems the only practical and reliable way of recording my vocals will be to just use a headphone splitter and record into an audio recorder like a Sony PCM-d50/ ZoomH1n. This seems like a shame since there should be a way to capture the sound that's inside the computer, but it always seems to conflict with the soundcard to record "what you hear" using audacity. It introduces clicks and static. I've heard of a technique where you can have a track in Reaper that's a "monitor" track and the record track is muted. But, this doesn't help because even when just monitoring the input when Reaper is running, it has the latency issue. I really really wish podfarm had a simple record button in it's standalone iteration. Has anyone had latency issues when recording vocals or figured this out? Thanks

Please bear with me as I'm pretty novice with this; I'm having issues trying to record the processed sound from my helix. When I first got the unit it worked fine and it was plug and play. I was able to record exactly what I was hearing from my amp. At some point I've managed to change something and I'm not sure what but I no longer get any sound picked up from the helix when recording (it still makes sound through headphones/amp). I'm able to hear and record the dry signal on mono input 7 but every other input is silent on both mono and stereo. I'm using reaper as my DAW and the helix as my interface via USB. I've tried audacity, FL Studio and Pro Tools and they all have the same result. Here are the audio device settings I have in reaper: My helix IO settings are as follows: Guitar Pad: Off Mic In 48v Phantom: Off Mic In Gain: 0db Mic In Low Cut: Off USB in 1/2 Destination: Multi USB in 1/2 trim: 0db 1/4" outputs: Line XLR outputs: Line Send Return 1 - 4: Instrument (Have also tried setting these to line - no difference) Re-amp src USB 7: Guitar re-amp src USB 8: Mic Volume Control Knobs: Multi Headphone monitor: multi Digital output: S/PDIF Digital Out level: 0db Sample rate: 48khz I'm unsure if any other information is required.. Edit: Okay I believe there is something wrong with the patches I have set up. I just switched to a factory preset and it is working. Could somebody tell me what I need to do to this patch to make it record? Edit 2: I changed 1/4" to multi and it's now making noise. I'll leave this here in case anyone else is as dumb as I am.

I'm new to Reaper, but is anyone else having issues with Reaper not recognizing their helix drivers? The Asio driver is recognized in the Cakewalk software I've been using, but Reaper doesn't seem to recognize it and keeps saying "unable to recognize" with Asio. However, it plays through "direct sound" but has major latency issues. Anyone have any recommendations?

Update I resolved the issue, which was due to a faulty battery on the Macbook Pro which didn’t hold any charge, once replaced, Helix Native runs smoothly. -------------------- Cubase At 1024 sample buffer size and one instance of the plugin, the CPU usage is at about 80% and audio drops out slightly. Two instances, or other plugins, lead to serious dropouts. Reaper At 1024 buffer size and one instance of the plugin, the CPU at about 30 % load and it works unless I do something CPU intensive. Two instances makes use of 60% and the audio only plays well for a few seconds before starting to drop out. Versions Helix Native 1.81 demo, Cubase Pro 10.0.40, Reaper 5.983/64, Mac OS 10.14.6 (8GB RAM), RME Fireface 400 via thunderbolt adapter with firmware version 3.36 and Totalmix 1.60. My computer. Do I have anything unusual taking up CPU?

Having this really bad experience recording with the pod hd 500.My focusrite broke and sent it to the shop to get it fixed.Meanwhile for a basic riff part I used the pod and duhh the recording stucks in the middle for 2-3 seconds and continues again.Happened everytime I gave it a shot.Researched thoroughly about latency of this device or buffering and couldnt find a single info. If anyone can help me with this lemme know. \m/

I just got an HX Stomp, and I want to take advantage of using the Helix Native live through using my Stomp as an audio interface. Has anybody tried the minimum specs the Helix Native can run? Has anyone tried using those small PC sticks, NUC PCs for DAW, vst, and live use especially Helix Native? How was the experience? Or should I just stick with a laptop, say a 2012 Macbook Pro which can be bought refurbished for $200?
