There is a Global Setting in the Switches/Pedals section that controls pedal behaviour in this respect. From the manual, the Position setting for each pedal: “Determines whether the POD Go expression pedal positions are recalled per snapshot, per preset, or applied globally. If you want a Volume Pedal or Wah to maintain its position when switching presets, set this to “Global.””

Easy way to revert back or undo preset changes(?)
silverhead replied to mitchmarkell's topic in Helix
It sometimes happens to me when I have an expression pedal that is misbehaving. When the pedal is at its min or max physical setting it sometimes fluctuates from, say, 0% to 1% for no apparent reason. That causes the display to shift to the pedal setting and is also interpreted as a change to the preset. Hence the ‘E’.- 5 replies

silverhead replied to mitchmarkell's topic in Helix
Are you switching presets after changing a snapshot or just moving to another snapshot in the same preset? If the latter, there is a Global Setting that allows you to specify whether you want snapshot edits to be saved or discarded when you leave the snapshot. When you leave a preset without saving it any edits to the preset are lost. It will load in its last saved state.- 5 replies

Patches are generally not compatible between different product families. So you can’t load POD XT presets into your POD HD500X. Nor are POD HD product patches compatible with any Helix devices. Depending on DSP limitations and routing/dual path capabilities most simple POD HD family presets are compatible, or can be made compatible using a file converter utility developed by a forum user many moons ago. I don’t know if it’s still kicking around somewhere. For instance, you could convert a Pod HD500X preset to be compatible with a Pod HD ProX device and vice versa. You can’t import a POD HD500X preset into any Helix device.

To place the external boost pedal in the amp’s FX Loop you have two options: - put it between the amp’s FX Loop (Send) output and the HX Stomp Return input. This places your boost before any HX Stomp post-FX Loop processing blocks. - put it between the HX Stomp Main output and the amp’s FX Loop (Return) input. This places your boost after all HX Stomp processing, making it the last thing in your entire signal chain.

This usually indicates a problem with the USB communications between your Helix and computer. Try using different USB ports on your computer and avoid using a USB hub.

It’s possible that you recorded the ‘delay’. The Looper starts recording as soon as you tap the Start switch. It continues to record (including any silence) until you hit the Stop or Overdub switch. If there was any pause in starting to play after starting the looper, or before stopping it, that will be recorded as silence. You will hear the silence being played back. To get rid of it you will have to record the loop again, this time with no silent periods.

metallurgy collection Metallurgy collection won’t Authorise after trail period ended

That bundle requires you to have purchased a Helix hardware device. Did you register that device and upload proof of purchase as required? From the description of the bundle: ”To claim your free software, register your Helix or HX® hardware and upload your proof of purchase using the link below. Once approved, your licenses for Cubase LE 12, Helix Native, and the Metallurgy Collection will be deposited into your Line 6 account.” -

Are you logged in to your Line 6 account in the metallurgy app when attempting to authorize? -
Not all .hlx files are compatible with all Helix devices. In Customtone, make sure you specify which Helix device you have before searching.

The tempo only changes if the Helix detects multiple consecutive taps. If you don’t tap the switch but just hold it until the tuner appears the tempo won’t change. Then when you tap to turn the tuner off, just tap once. Again, no tempo change.

From the manual, pg 3.7 and 3.8 ….. “In the Signal Flow View, select the Amp or FX Block for which you’d like to create a controller assignment, then double-press the MOVE button….. Use the Multi-function Knobs 1-4 to configure the controller assignment options.“

The program you want is called POD HD Pro Edit. You can download it from the Downloads tab at the top of this page. Choose POD HD Pro in the Hardware column and choose POD HD Pro Edit in the Software column. Then download and install. I can’t recall whether this includes the required driver. If not you will need to download and install the driver too. Leave the Hardware column with the Pro selected and choose Driver for the software column.

Since you are new here you may not have yet come across the Customtone preset sharing site (see link at top of this page). Search for Shadows tones compatible with the HX Stomp. These are user created tones posted directly and not moderated in any way so you will undoubtedly find some that sound way off to you. There are a lot of reasons for that. But you should also find some that can give you hints about the setup you’re looking for. Also, you say that all your signal path impedances are set up correctly. Just for kicks, can you elaborate on that? I ask because level mismatches are a common cause of the symptoms you describe. Describe the ins and outs you are using, and the level you have set for each (line, amp, mic,…).

FIREHAWK FX APP not login to Line6 Server - Must have an answer

I suggest you open a support ticket to work directly with Line 6 Support on this. Follow the Support link at the top of this page. -
You can keep bumping this up as long as you wish. It’s not that nobody is seeing your post, it’s just that there’s nothing left to say here. This is a user community forum. Line 6 Support does not live here. You’re swimming upstream against a Line 6 policy decision. Only Line 6 can help you, and you’ve already done what you need to do via the support ticket system. Daily bumps are just a waste of your (and other’s) time.

Usb problem with windows 10
silverhead replied to markuslv's topic in POD 2.0, POD XT, Pocket POD, FloorPODs
I presume you’re talking about the POD XT Live, not ‘post live’. I’m not sure from your description whether or not there’s an actual problem other than the error message. You say the pod sometimes worked. Can you elaborate on any performance issue you are having? To get rid of the error message you could try uninstalling all Line 6 drivers and then reinstall the latest. -

A quick glance at the manual pg 22/23 discusse how the Mix knob behaves differently for the Classic and 1-Switch looper. Could this be your issue? -
Line6 Updater not running
silverhead replied to Squirrely's topic in Computer Audio Setup and Troubleshooting
Yes, Updater and Monkey are separate programs. But (afaik) Monkey does not call on Updater to finish. Monkey should install the firmware itself. Updater replaced Monkey for future products at some time in the past, but they never worked together. Please describe exactly what happens, including screenshots if possible, when you run Monkey. At what point does the update process fail, and why do you think it’s trying to call on Updater? -
Using Helix to Start / Stop recording / Playback in Presonus Studio One 5

I just checked. There is a preset named Studio One in the Templates setlist. Loading the preset shows the footswitch assignments such as Play/Stop, Arm, Record, Undo, Redo, ....
