  1. Did you buy them through the Line 6 Marketplace? If so, go to the Marketplace link in your account. To get there, follow the Support tab at the top of this page. Scroll down to the Account Services area and select My Account. Then scroll down to the Hardware and Software section and select Marketplace Downloads. If you did not buy them through the Marketplace then please be more specific about the purchase site.
  2. I’m not here to defend Line 6’s policies re: legacy products. I will just point out that it is standard industry practice to discontinue software product updates at some point. It is also common practice for users of those products to maintain a computing environment that works, rather than updating. You do have an option to keep an old 32-bit Android or iOS device for the specific purpose of running your AMPLIFI Remote app. Again, I’m not trying to be argumentative - just pointing out a commonly used option across all software manufacturers and platforms as the underlying OS undergoes routine updates and software is plateaued. Also, this is an industry wide issue for all Android app developers - not just Line 6. It was Android’s decision to abandon 32-bit apps. All developers of Android 32-bit apps now have to decide whether or not to update their older apps, Some will do so, others will not. This happens routinely through the industry.
  3. A banner at the top of this page explains Line 6's policy re: support of Legacy Products. The list of such products includes the AMPLIFI series. The first item in the Q&A list discusses the type of support being limited and includes software/firmware updates. Seems to me a 64-bit update is not planned. You could open a support ticket for further information.
  4. Possibly. Theft and piracy still exist, unfortunately. If you find a free version, please alert the author, @craiganderton.
  5. Yeah… definitely something else going on. Try opening a support ticket.
  6. Sometimes the display changes because the device thinks a knob has been moved. This can be the result of minor floor vibrations rather than a conscious rotation of the knob. A solution can be to ‘park’ all the knobs at the min or max setting where they are less sensitive to vibrations.
  7. I wanted to satisfy my cdo (I prefer alphabetical order) so I tested this. The result: Trails OFF and Feedback = 0% results in no repeat at all when you set a long delay time and turn the FX OFF after striking the note and before the delay time is reached. You'll sleep well tonight knowing this!
  8. No, the Workbench software does not include an EQ capability. I think it will be difficult to find PA EQ settings that would be good for acoustic without, as you indicate, negatively affecting the electric guitar EQ. But is sounds like you're a more experienced with EQ than I am, so best of luck.
  9. I don't know why Monkey is not working but you should be able to download manually. I believe your Hardware selection of Variax USB Interface is inappropriate. There probably are no updates for the Interface device itself. I think what you want to do is update the Variax guitar components. Try selecting the appropriate Variax item (JTV Variax, Variax 500, etc.) as the Hardware. You should then be able to download and install the required drivers and Workbench program (Workbench HD for JTV and later models; Variax Workbench for earlier models). Begin with the drivers.
  10. Then it’s all about EQ settings on your PA. The acoustic Variax models typically need EQ to tame the boxy and twangy frequencies. The Variax Tone knob controls the amount of acoustic guitar body simulation that is applied to the tone. Beyond that, in my experience, you need at least a 5-band EQ (hi/low cuts as well as lo/mid/hi parametric bands). Experience (or learning) with acoustic guitar EQing is required. Set aside some time, Google for examples, and experiment. You’ll get there. I typically start with a pretty severe cut in the 250-400hz range. Depending on your mixer/PA capabilities a bit of reverb and delay can help. As I’m sure you’re aware the channel Input Gain can have a large impact on the tone as well.
  11. You will need to do this manually based on a careful examination of the different presets. Snapshots are variations of the settings on various blocks in a single preset. They require that the same amps, FX, and routing be used in all Snapshots. You can’t copy/paste Snapshots between presets because there’s no guarantee that the preset structures are identical. You need to manually create a preset that includes ALL the amp, FX, and routing blocks that are contained in the different presets you want to amalgamate (assuming there is sufficient DSP to do this). Then you need to examine all the block settings in the various snapshots you want to create and duplicate those settings in the amalgamated preset. You may find that you need to make compromises, such as using only one or two amps instead of the four different amps that your four different original presets use. Edit: you can’t have two amps in a POD Go preset. I was thinking of Helix. With POD Go you will only be able to amalgamate snapshots from presets that use the same amp model. Then further compromise will likely be required, e.g. settle on a single Delay model when the original presets might use a few different delays.
  12. How are you monitoring the sound? Headphones directly to Helix? External speakers? PA? Is it possible the reverb is coming from another piece of equipment?
  13. If I understand correctly you want to use your JTV to replace your other guitars and allow you to have both electric and acoustic guitar sounds at the flick of a switch, or setting, on a single guitar. You likely don’t want to have to perform any physical equipment and/or cabling changes when you switch between the acoustic and electric sounds. Presumably for the electric guitar sounds your JTV will not be connected directly to the PA. What will it be connected to? What other equipment are you using with your JTV setup, other than the PA? Your equipment setup has a great deal to do with the suggestions we can offer.
  14. Have you examined the amp’s Hum parameter setting in these situations?
  15. That’s interesting. I wonder if a long delay with 0% feedback and trails off will even sound the original and only repeat if you turn the delay block off before the specified delay time? In other words if you set the delay time to max and then turn off the delay FX after striking a note and before the delay time is reached, will you hear the delay at all? Just curious.
  16. Yes, Line 6 knows. But they don't say anything about new features or models in advance of any release. It's reasonable to expect that we will see some cabs updated to the new engine over time. Which ones, and when? We'll have to wait and see.
  17. There’s a global setting that controls the behaviour of the Up/Down footswitches.
  18. Are you using the recently updated Line 6 driver v1.97.0.2? That version has resolved some issues.
  19. Can you not have both in the same preset? They may need to be on different paths for DSP reasons but I’m not aware of any architectural restriction preventing this. Perhaps I missed it.
  20. You don’t ‘need’ to do anything really unless you are dissatisfied with the sound you are currently hearing. What I said is correct as far as the S/N ratio goes but if you’re not noticing any noise now you probably won’t hear any improvement by increasing the POD Go output and dialing back the PowerCab. I would suggest you just experiment a bit and find out what sounds best to YOU, in YOUR environment. All theory aside, go with your own ears and preferences. Adjusting preset output levels individually is the last thing I would try, because that will get tedious.
  21. Main volume should be set to max or close to it. Max level sends what it commonly referred to as ‘unity gain’ to the PA/mixer/speakers. This minimizes the signal noise level that is increasingly present in the signal at low levels. And yes, it does impact the quality of the presets that will be heard from the speakers. More noise = reduced quality. And no, the preset will not sound the same at lower vs. higher volume levels. This is due to the Fletcher Munson effect which applies to human hearing regardless of the sound source.
  22. The culprit is physics. Without headphones you are hearing the natural vibrations of the standard-tuned strings. Your ears are only a foot or two away from the strings and they are able to hear this. Your headphones block it. If you don’t want to hear this without headphones you will need to turn your speakers (way) up until the volume overpowers the natural vibrations.
  23. … in addition to the above, make sure you select Offline Mode in Updater.
  24. First, make sure HX Edit is not running while you run the Updater program. If that doesn’t fix it, … I would get the HX Edit issue resolved first, and then follow the update instructions. Please provide more details about your HX Edit online issue.
  25. I would open a support ticket. Your guitar may need servicing.
