  1. The most prudent path for you, I think, is to return it and get a replacement. If the same issue persists then your support ticket will remain valid when Line 6 gets to it. If the problem is fixed, then you can close your ticket.
  2. I'm confused again. 4CM would involve connecting the HX Stomp Send jack (not the main outputs) to the stereo inputs of your amp. Please describe the exact cabling setup you are using. I presume you are using 4 cables. Where and how are they connected?
  3. The HX Stomp manual doesn’t seem to specify but the Send jack may send a stereo signal when using a TRS plug. If so, just use a splitter/adapter to convert the TRS stereo Send into two TS L/R mono signals and connect them to the amp’s stereo inputs. However, I’m not clear on your purpose here. Typically in a 4CM setup you would place your time-based stereo FX after, not before, the amp input. The stereo inputs on the JC-40 seem to be designed for a traditional setup where your FX pedalboard is entirely before the amp and no FX Loops are used. Can you provide details on how exactly you need or want to use both 4CM and the amp’s stereo inputs?
  4. Well, not quite a boat anchor. All Variax guitars beginning with the JTV series have mag pickups so they operate as a normal electric guitar. But yeah, value is greatly diminished without those parts.
  5. I'm not 100% sure but I would think it's polyphonic. Each string on the Variax has its own under-saddle piezo so the alternate tuning can be applied to the individual strings, which means polyphonic. The tracking seems fine to me but I'm not a bass player. I just use it for simple stuff on recordings so that I don't need to buy a bass guitar. For instance I can't speak to how it would perform with a slap-bass style. Probably not well, due mostly to the string gauge rather than the tunings.
  6. As long as it’s in the original packaging the battery and charger should be there. The USB interface for Workbench HD is also included.
  7. Are you sure you have a Factory setlist selected?
  8. Sorry this first post took so long to approve. See my answer to your later identical post….
  9. That suggests that the previous owner has already used the HX Native discount associated with the device. The discount can only be used once for any device. Unfortunately you are probably put of luck. To be sure, open a support ticket and ask Line 6.
  10. Yes you can do that. I have used Workbench HD to create several bass guitar models which I store in the Custom bank on my JTV-59. I tune each of the bottom 4 strings to -12 and set the mix to 0% original and 100% alternate tuning.
  11. I don’t think the individual factory presets are available to download but you can restore them all. Use Pod Go Edit to back up any presets you want to save before restoring your device to factory settings, as follows…. To prevent this in future, of course, copy the factory preset to your User setlist before editing.
  12. I believe there’s only one Send jack on the Stomp. How do you plan to use two?
  13. The product description of the Spider V amps states that it comes with the Cubase software, which you mention you have successfully installed. I see no mention of POD Farm being included. That would explain why you would need to purchase a license in order to use it.
  14. Make sure you have assigned the parameters you mention to the Snapshot controller. You can do that that by pressing and quickly rotating the parameter’s control knob on the device. After doing that you will see the parameter values highlighted by white brackets. Then change the values as desired in each snapshot and save the preset before moving to another snapshot.
  15. Any decimal value can be expressed as an equivalent percentage. In this case the mapping is direct: 0.430 = 43%. Similarly for any fraction between 0 and 1. i.e the decimal number 0.xy = xy%
  16. Sorry - I'm not familiar with POD Go wireless units. I think the channels just need to match, not be any specific value. Your POD Go wireless device trasmits on a specific RF channel. I don't know what that is or how to find out, but the Global Setting for Wireless input needs to specify the same channel.
  17. If you are using the wireless connection make sure your RF channel is correct (see Global Settings). Also, make sure your speakers/monitors are connected to the POD Go outputs.
  18. I hadn’t noticed before but I think you’re right. The audio interfaces are now listed under Legacy Products with the statement that “These products are no longer manufactured, but still may be available in stores.” I don’t see any replacement products in the current lineup.
  19. Since it’s brand new I would return it for replacement.
  20. From the HX stomp manual: “ From Stomp or Scroll mode, touch FS3 (TAP/TUNER) to briefly display Tempo parameters.”
  21. I haven’t viewed the video but I can say that a Variax guitar can only produce raw guitar signals. It does not do any signal processing beyond that point. Comparing to the real world a Variax guitar provides the signal that comes out of the guitar’s 1/4” jack. Any other signal processing is done by external equipment such as a guitar amplifier and various FX. It is highly unlikely that the guitar tone itself can recreate anything like the (probably highly processed) tone in your video. From the video you can probably tell what kind of guitar he is using. Choose the Variax model that comes closest to that. The rest is all non-Variax signal processing.
  22. No harm in trying a reset. Just back things up beforehand.
  23. You need to touch and hold the footswitch until the display changes.
  24. Yes. You need to assign the FX block to the Footswitch. In the Signal Flow view select the FX block. Then use your hand to touch (not press) the footswitch that you want to use to turn the FX block On/Off. When the display asks for confirmation, press the knob beneath the OK display. You can assign multiple FX to the same footswitch if you like.
