Hi, Apologies if this has been asked before but i'm pulling my hair out trying to sort this and I have a gig tonight! I recently purchased a 5150 combo which i love, however i'm having issues running the Helix LT through the effects loop. I have followed a number of videos on youtube, none of which seem to mention my problem nor solve it. I'll be as brief as a can... Basically, I think I am only hearing the effects loop most of the time. Its a clean signal. I can get the amps drive channels to work, but I also hear a clean signal over the top of it. Then if i use the delay in the loop, it just delays a clean signal? I have no idea what I've done wrong as the 4cm is set up exactly as the video suggests. In terms of the patch I have tried using the effects loop block as well as the send/return blocks. I still have the same problem. Just wondering if anyone has a quick fix? I should also mention that as soon as a plug any cables into the 5150 it cuts the sound from the instrument input. Is this normal?? I have also tried using the preamp out from the 5150 but this hasn't had any effect. Currently at work, so I cant try out anything for a few hours but I'd be very grateful for some help! Videos ive tried: Helix Minute: 4-Cable Method - YouTube How to do the 4 cable method with the Line 6 Helix (the EASY way!) - YouTube One last thing - I had a blackstar head and 2x12 cab before this 5150, set up the exact same way. I used the midi in the to switch channels as an addition to the 4cm. I never had any issues with the exact same setup im trying to use now.

Hi all, I'm currently trying to build a rig with both my trusty POD HD Pro X and my new EVH 5150-III. Currently I'm using the POD direct to FOH and patch changes are taken care off by Cubase through the MIDI connections. As the 50W 5150 is also MIDI compatible I figured to design a rig with the POD to FOH and the 5150 for stage sound. Now I was wondering whether it's OK or not to connect the "dry out" on the back of the POD to the regular guitar input of the 5150? I know a little bit about impedances and line volumes, but not enough to judge whether solution would damage the tube amp. Who can help me? :) Thanks in advance!

Hey Guys, Today we have a play through of one of my tracks, Heavy as Heavy. I recorded the track with all new guitar tones using the Line 6 Helix Rack. I used the PV Panama amp model which is modeled after the Peavey 5150. I stayed inside of the Helix this time using the 4 X 12 Uber T75 Cabinet model using a “Dual” Cab block blending two different mics and placement on the same cab. CHAIN: PRS Tremonti SE loaded with Fishman Fluence Moderns Line 6 Helix Rack using the PV Panama amp model and 4 x 12 Uber T75 cabinet model Into the Universal Audio Apollo Twin which feeds Persons Studio One 3 Drums are courtesy of Toontrack Superior Drummer 3

Hey guys, With all the 'vs' and modeler battle demos going on I thought it would be cool to do a few SDS style. We're comparing 8 different amp modelers in a full band context, just as you would use/hear them in real life. All of the amp modelers are running through the exact same OwnHammer 4x12 EVH IR. All of the plugins without IR loaders go through NadIR (with the internal cabs disabled). The modelers in this video include: Fractal Audio Axe FX Overloud TH3 Peavey Revalver 4 IK Multimedia Amplitube 4 Native Instruments Guitar Rig 5 Line 6 Pod Farm 2 Nick Crow 8505 Line 6 Helix Floor This episode focuses on the legendary Peavey 5150 amp. I'd love to hear your thoughts guys! How well does the Helix stack up to the rest? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cFhcZpxHbg

Well, I purchased the HD METAL PACK so I could finally get that ''5150" sound, and my buddy has the X3 LIVE which came w/ a 'Criminal' preset. Well, I thought they were the same but as I read more into it, that's not the case. The 'Criminal' is an '02 5150II and the Panama is a 5150 block letter. Is there a way to get both amps on both units?(More-so a way to get the 'Criminal' onto my HD500) Thanks guys!

I was trying to build a good dual amp setup with 2 x 5150 and when I tried to cut off some ugly high frequencies with the parametric EQ, the signal got distorted. Is this a bug? Can anyone give me a tip or tell me what am I doing wrong? Here is the patch: https://www.dropbox.com/s/jo6xl7hy6842rgr/Distorted%20signal.5xe?dl=0 Just turn on the parametric EQ and see what happens.

Okay guys. I need suggestions, please. I just purchased a new 5150iii combo amp and I'm looking to setup a wet, dry rig if possible. I have the pod HD500x and PA speakers. Is my idea mad, impossible or easily done?? Thank you in advance for the help.
