Hello, new helix owner. Loving all the flexibility. But not quite got the hang of everything. I have watched a dozen videos on channel switching with snapshots and midi and ext amp switching. And I can’t seem to get the right settings. I have a evh 5150 iii 50 w. I want to change channels on the amp via the ext amp/amp foot switch not via midi. Does anyone have any experience channel changing evh 5150’s with the ext amp control? I have not tried using instants via snapshots. But I have tried various combinations with footswitches(ring, tip, both etc). But I’m not getting any reaction from the amp. thanks for the help jeremy

Hello everyone I am the owner of a Helix LT that I use in 4CM mode with my amp head. I use the single EXT output to change the channel of my head. When I change the channel via the helix, the light changes between EXP 1 and EXP2, so I had to assign two volume pedals at the beginning of the signal (one for each channel of the head). But when I change snapshot (and head channel), pedal 2 goes to 0%. I put a video that shows the problem. It seems that this is only present on the LT since the original Helix has a dedicated output for the channel change. Has anyone encountered this problem before? Thanks a lot to all. IMG_3112.mp4

Helix's ability to control external amp channel and/or reverb switching has been tested with many popular amps and heads. Unfortunately this does not guarantee compatibility with all products. Note that, depending on the circuitry of the channel switching jack in the guitar amp used, the EXT Amp function may not operate as expected.

My blackstar stock channel switching pedal is not working while using hx effects. I cannot switch to channel two. It's as if channel two is bypassed. The pedal turns red as does the channel two light but channel two seems to be disabled. If I plug my guitar directly into my amp and disconnect the hx effects entirely channel two works again, but once I reconnect the hx effects the stock pedal can only be used to turn on and off reverb and channel switching is disabled. I'm currently using the 4 cable method.
