Hi everyone! I just bought a line 6 POD HD500X pedal and I've read some posts from this forum (http://line6.com/support/topic/1672-can-i-utilize-a-usb-3-cable-for-my-pod-x3/ http://line6.com/support/topic/8367-cant-install-drivers-for-pod-hd500x/) I actually have got the same problems as Miguel Marquez in the second post, but it has passed already a year and the thread is not answered. Ok, I only have 1 computer, and the problem (I think) is that all my USB ports are 3.0, but i would like to see what do you guys think, cause probably I may be wrong.

Hey, I made this post because this is something I have been having troubles with over 3-4 years. I have had many problems with the toneport UX2 version (I work with a windows 7 64 bit system). But two problems have never gone away: a crackling popping sound after X number of seconds and after a couple of hours it would crash and freeze my volume, making me restart the computer. In my case I noticed that the crackling sound may appeared when I was doing something on windows. After searching a lot of forums I found a program that could analyze the DPC latency of a system: go here http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml It will give you information if your system can handle real-time audio/video service. By disabling devices in device manager one after another, I had found my problem for the crackling sound. After disabling my ethernet driver it dropped right into green and I have never heard a crackling sound again. After a day the volume bar hasn't crashed either. After research I think this comes because windows cannot handle a continues data stream over USB. This comes from a security update with a bug. You can try to restart the audio service through CMD with the following commands: net stop audiosrv net stop AudioEndpointBuilder net start audiosrv net start AudioEndpointBuilder The idea is that you don't have to restart your computer but just your audio drivers. I'm just really happy that I can listen to music without ANY crackling/popping noise and just enjoy this good audio card. I hope I helped some people with this, because it sure did help me. Bye!

Hey all, Took a while to solve this so I thought I'd post for anyone else hunting. Persistent clicking with UX2 on Win8 x64 (AMD A10 + discrete gfx, SSD & 16G). The system runs plenty fast enough, so I was surprised to be getting drop-outs & clicks in all playback apps, especially on basic activity like switching app focus. Tried adding ASIO driver to Foobar2000 & adjusting buffers, latency and bitrates in the Line6 control panel and everything with no success. Culprit in the end: the UX2 was plugged into a USB 3.0 port. Plugging in to a USB 2.0 port fixed the problem. Unsure if a particular controller was the problem (Gigabyte F2A85X-UP4 has both native AND A85X chipset and Etron EJ168 controllers). Bought a board with extra USB3 ports thinking I was doing myself a favour -- only 2 USB2 ports on the back panel -- jeez. LOL Anyway, fixed -- hope this maybe helps someone.
