Hi! I've been playing with my pre-used AX 212 for a while now and as much as I love the sound I am looking to get a used Pod X3 Live. Now.... If I use only X3L to get the sounds I want, which connection you guys recommend? Connecting X3 to AX212 guitar input or AUX input? Simply, I need to use the AX 212 only as a power amp. Sound wise, is it better to create a patch as clean, dry and pure as possible and plug the X3L to "guitar input" or can I just plug the X3L to AUX and be sure the AX 212 works solely as a power amp? This isn't obviously the ideal way of using the X3 Live as I don't get the sound out in stereo, but I need a reasonable solution for the time being before I can afford buying a "real" power amp and cabinet.
I have a Pod X3 Live which I am using to record guitar. My Setup is Guitar > X3 Live > XLR outs > XLR IN on a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4. The thing is I'm having trouble finding the correct setting for the XLR ins on the Scarlett. The Scarlett has an instrument/line switch for each of it's XLR inputs. So I guess my question is, are the XLR outs on the Pod X3 live line level or instrument level? Currently I have the Scarlett set to line level and it sounds fine but if there is a possibility for improvement I would like to know. Thanks
Hi all, I just tried my x3 live after a couple of weeks of not playing it and the whole top line of 6 switches is broken. I opened it and I saw that these pieces : http://www.thinkpcparts.com/index.php?_a=product&product_id=3886 are broken, so the PCB wont stick in its place and the footswitches wont act on the microswitches. Its those legs that are all broken on the 6 pieces !!! Anyone had this issue before ? I read about problems with the microswitches and so but not like this one Also is there any place I can find an affordable replacement ? $13 each is madness , times 6 its $78 plus shiping i'd rather get a new unit !!!
