bobthedog
Hi Guys, I got the helix today and this has happened to me twice now. While editing a preset suddenly the helix just changes to another random patch and I loose all my edits. Has anyone else experienced this? Cheers Andy

bobthedog
Usb was connected, nothing sending midi over it though. I will email support and see what they have to say.....

Then check it out without USB connection (in the meantime ;) ). Sometimes a better isolated USB cable with a https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrite_bead does it... Those 'random changes' appear occasionally if your device (not only the helix) gets some unpredictable or unwanted kind of electric impulses. hideout
Couldn't it also have a faulty encoder wheel? The one you use to scroll through presets?
spikey
Disconnect the USB cable and see if it still does this.
PeterHamm
re-install the latest firmware if you can. I think this happened to me once on the rack. I couldn't duplicate it, but it never happened again and that was way before the final FW release for it.
