BillBee
If I understand your question correctly. Then the answer is "yes" I have the HD output running to an amp while editing.

Yes, just remember to hit "save" on the POD itself once you're satisfied with the tone...sending the changes over from HD Edit to the POD doesn't actually store them there. You'll see that the little asterisk that appears on the POD's display when changes are made will still be there after you hit "send" from inside HD EDIT. Don't power it off until you save. cruisinon2
Or hit the appropriate option in the SEND panel in Edit. Guess I'm missing something then. "Send selected" from HD Edit will do just that...sends any changes I've made, but they're not stored until I hit "save" on the POD itself. So either I've had a bug since day 1, or there's another option somewhere that I'm not aware of. Anything is possible, I suppose...

According to the Edit manual: "Using the SEND buttons overwrites the existing Preset/Set List data in your device's internal memory, effectively Saving the transferred items to your PD HD500X". So it should . . . .
AlexKenivel
I usually don't have to hit save on the pod itself, but the edited presets bug out on me too and changing banks real quick solves it for me.

So it should . . . . Lol. Well not for me it doesn't (sigh...). That friggin' asterisk stays there till I save. If I switch to another patch without doing so, then go back to the original one, any changes I made are lost to the ether...only made that mistake once or twice in the early goings. Guess I got myself a good old fashioned malfunction. Oh well, it's been at least 3 years now, and several firmware updates. It ain't getting fixed at this point. I can live with it... BillBee
I have to hit the save button too - on a HD Bean and 500. No biggie, I know the suck factor of building a tone and watching it go bye bye so its worth the extra level of paranoia. :)
bjnette
You choose send "selected" not "set list" or "bungle".
duncann
You choose send "selected" not "set list" or "bungle". Bundles certainly are a useless, bungled mess. I think it's a joke by the Line 6 developers so that Beavis can find TP for his bungle hole.
cruisinon2
You choose send "selected" not "set list" or "bungle". Yup..."send selected". Doesn't matter though. It's "sent", but not "saved". Day in/day out for years....always the same. If that's the worst malfunction I get with this thing, I consider it a win.
moogary
True. It is flakey. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Save on the POD just to make sure.
Benny2130
Thanks a lot guys! I'm in Aus and missed all this last night, what I was trying to find out is say if I have the pedal plugged into the amplifier, then I want to change it by HD edit on the computer, is it safe for the unit to have it connected to the computer while using edit and still connected to the amp
