Only had my Helix for less than a week. Turned it on after having no problems and now i'm getting a very low signal from the 1/4" Left Mono Output. I've checked all my volume settings, globals etc - Still really low. When i use the Right output 1/4" jack my signal is loud and clear???

Can anyone help??

Thanks guys,

Yes its a volume problem on all presets. Ive tried opening a new preset from scratch but it has the same issue.

The XLR's work fine and so does the Right Output underneath the Left mono out.

Not sure what else to do.

Don't feel very confident in using this product anymore especially at a live gig. I've only had it for 5 days and already something has gone wrong!!! Mega disappointed considering the amount of money i handed over for it

Well, I'd definitely contact customer support on this. They've been doing an excellent job with others' issues.

I've been using mine out gigging since shortly after I got it last November, over 30 some shows, and have been really happy with it.

Hardware problems usually show up early if they're going to. You could also try working with your vendor for an exchange - if you've only had it for this short time, it's within your warranty period.

Hi all, this post is now over six years old. Today I found out that I have exactly the same problem. Due to what reason ever. I just did some test where I found out that the mono 1/4 output has a massive volume drop off.

How did you solve the problem years ago?

check global settings: you can set the output level for all your outputs: XLRs, 1/4", etc.

For example, for me the XLRs are set at a microphone level, and the volume knob controls the 1/4" but not the XLRs.  Maybe you have your 1/4" set at a microphone level.

If above doesn't help try this - Take a full backup of the unit, do a factory reset (hold FS 9+10 and turn on the unit, Restores Global parameters, Presets and Setlists to factory default and clear all IRs (Factory restore), this will set Helix to Factory Default). Before restoring the backup, test a preset from Setlist 1 or make one yourself. If it works, try to restore the backup and hope it just were a computer glitch :-). Or at least you know there is something in your configuration.

I would guess that support will recommend you reload the firmware as a second step. At least they did to me when I had a strange problem.

This happened to me back in 12/2020 with low output on left 1/4" out. Fixed by Long and McQuade in Vancouver.

On my invoice:

Confirmed low/no output of left 1/4" output. Left XLR ok.
Traced problem to Q14 and D50 mute circuit.
Replaced Q14 and D50. Test OK..
