medbad5150
I’m back here after years away. I’m a Fractal man too but loved the HD500. Now have a 500x. If I was to Factory Reset. Would I lose the bundle purchased and loaded? Cheers for any help
pianoguyy
Not a simple yes or no answer. Because, the truth is, it is both yes and no depending on the situation. If you bought the bonus packs, you can keep them. In fact, you can put them on multiple devices. If you bought a used pod and the previous owner did not give you his license, you will not keep the extras.

duncann
Doing a factory reset will not deauthorize the model packs.
spaceatl
There is no such thing as a factory reset on HD...You have to reflash the firmware to reset to factory and you WILL DEAUTHORIZED the Model packs when you do that...You need to get the license from whom you bought the pod. duncann
If I remember, I tried reflashing the firmware (whatever version to the same version) on an HD500X to see if the model packs would remain. They did. But that was a while ago, so...

But what about the next step, the "global reset". I can't confirm which step removes the model packs, but one of them does. Also, I assume you flashed your Pod on your account. If the OP bought it used, he would be flashing the firmware using his account which isn't the authorized account.

When I flashed the firmware, I also did the global reset. The device's account registration doesn't matter with respect to a firmware flash or global reset. As far as I know, the only thing that will deauthorize the model packs is if you ran the Line 6 License Manager, with the device hooked to the computer, and intentionally deauthorize the packs.
