So with the talked about addition of a polyphonic team of experts....do you think they are only looking into tuner improvements, pitch block improvements....or do you think they are looking to add a fully 'drop' style effect?

I dont get sucked into these kinda threads, but I'm considering the Digitech Drop pedal, but if I can save $X00 with a 'homegrown' effect built into my presets that would Plan A of course.

Anyone have anything they'd be willing to share that I should splurge or wait it out?

I understand I wont get a straight L6 answer, but maybe some reading between the lines info could persuade me one way or the other, hahaha....

Like the OP I'm looking forward to seeing polyphonic processing arrive on the HX products but I wouldn't hold my breath. If you want the Digitech you may want to just go get it. There is absolutely no telling if and when polyphonic processing will drop into a firmware release and if so what effects it will include. The chances are minuscule that you would see anything like that in this update and given how long it is taking to get to 2.6 you probably have quite a wait until the next firmware release. With that said since the new update is supposed to be coming in approximately the next two and a half weeks or so you can always wait and see what it will include.

lol...these threads never disappoint. Just when you think you might be safe from the metal gymnastics which tend to keep one firmly entrenched inside Square One, the "whens?" and "what ifs?" return to rescue us all from productivity. ;)

We now return you to the regularly scheduled blind guesswork and wishful thinking...
