Being fascinated by the many sound variatons coming with my variax 500. And so I am missing only one: A nylon acoustic spanish sound model. Because I think this is only a matter of programming; has somebody edited a similar sound close to a spanish guitar? Would be nice to have an answer! Karl

It's a frequent request, but no...apparently it's rather difficult to get a steel string to sound like nylon. Workbench can only do so much.

The nylon setting on my steel string Vax Acoustic 700 is pretty convincing and one of my favorite "voices" on the guitar, so you know that the modeling work has been done. I use it for worship at church, starting out the service with the big 12 string sound, moving into fingerpicked dread toward the middle and going tender with the nylon at the end. It's awesome. So L6, why not give it to the rest of the line?

I've never bought into this excuse because the acoustic Variax guitars have a great sounding nylon patch. A bronze string isn't nylon either ... it's just a different metal than nickel or stainless.  If it's a technical reason (hardware/software) we don't get a nylon model then I can understand that, but if it's just a marketing decision to exclude it I'd be very disappointed.

In the meantime.... the Martin 0 Series model, an aggressive LPF around 5K and a little EQ can get you in the ballpark... not as a solo instrument, but in the mix it seems to work for me.
