spudmurphy
I played my first live gig with the XL last week end. Been gigging 50 years. I use it as a stomp box, and have an amp emulation, with 6 stomp switches. I pressed the Mode switch in the heat of battle, and panicked, losing my lead break sound. Is there a way to disable the switch, so that live it does nothing. Thanks.

silverhead
No, not within the firmware. You could construct some sort of physical block that would prevent your foot from reaching the switch.

Hi, Hmm… not that I’m aware of. I guess other users are possibly slightly more accurate with FS pressing - I would simply advise caution “in the heat of battle”. Sorry! Hope this helps/makes sense

What I do to all my line 6 devices is the Grolsch washer trick. Buy Grolsch beers. Take the washers off the caps. Place 2 of them onto the button. It works like a charm. Makes the buttons more difficult to press—but they still can still be pressed.
theElevators
Another thing you can do is to add snapshots to stomp mode using command center. That way pressing the mode button will not affect what snapshots you use. That’s if you use snapshots. I explain what is involved.
spudmurphy
Thank you for your suggestions. I decided to disable it using a snap on snap off plastic collar I made, Works great and there is no way that the switch can be engaged accidentally. Excuse the plastic dust from my clothes Edit Unfortunately, this forum seems to have a strange way of uploading images beyond me, despite posting 100's of photos n videos on other forums ?? Ah, Another use for Grolsch beer washers. They also make excellent strap locks. Buy a Grolsch, get a free strap lock/footswitch disabler!!!!
