Acoustic Guitar impulse response

Hello every one.

Does anyone know how to find some IRs for acoustic guitar ?

I didn't find anything by googling.

I need some IRs in order to use in my Helix for recording acoustic guitar through cable or mic ( which I don't know which one may works better with IRs)

The purpose is creating a killer sound with a not perfect acoustic guitar!

...and please advice how to use it? I mean ordering.

TNX  :)

hopefully it helps.  These IRs are  surprisingly hard to find, even with all the search tools we've got....

Yeah I've tried this, it's awesome thank you, but I was looking for something to change the story, I mean changing the guitar sound to some famous acoustic guitars!

seems like it's hard to find! :(

I bought a Fishman Aura Spectrum DI pedal this week and have successfully transformed Aura images into IRs imported into Helix using Logic Pro X Impulse Response Utility. Compairing the IR block to an FX block using Aura with the same patch is indistinguishable.

The next trick is choosing the right image so I have a good acoustic patch in Helix. I'm using a Martin 00C-AE that has a Fishman Classic 4 pickup system. The Aura library has an image that closely matches that guitar, so I tried that one. What I found was surprising. Through headphones the Aura patch and/or converted IR sound wonderful through Helix. Its amazing what an IR can do. However, through a FRFR, it was close to unusable. The problem is that a Martin body models seem to emphasize the lower mids, around 200Hz, making the guitar ring and easily feedback when played through speakers - even using a sound hole cover. Notably, when using the 00C with the Aura, adding the sound hole cover didn't change the tone that much making it a useful way of controlling feedback in a live situation.

It seems that for live use, it is better to pick an Image/IR that sounds good, and not worry too much about whether its the image for your particular guitar. When choosing an Image, its important to audition them using the setup you'll use live, making sure the guitar is interacting with the speakers. That is, if you use use the looper to capture samples off the pickup so you can audition hands free, make sure the guitar input is still active so any feedback will be noticed. Different images make a big difference in terms of feedback.

There are a BUNCH of IRs (all I ever need, myself) for acoustic guitar at these two links.

I think they are all derived from Aura. I've been toying with the idea of capturing them from Mama Bear, but haven' had time.

Here fellas.

Some Acoustic body IRs I did a while ago: (Stereo and Mono), I like them more than those around in the internet, as they are all mono.

They work in my HeadRush and should work fine in your Helix.

Works best if you use with an EQ and crank the highs up.

i bought the 3sigma ones and it took me a little while to be liking them but i do now .. i run a piezo (from the onboard preamp) and magnetic soundhole in to helix and use an IR on each as well as compression eq and whatever , on separate paths. It took a while but i got a nice natural acoustic sound now i think

I play a Taylor 224Ce Koa, which I truly adore for fingerstyle, but with the Koa wood it's challenging to get a bright/airy strum sound from it.  Used some high/low eq which has helped, but I just bought an IR package called "The Holy Grail" from "Worship Tutorials" and am very pleased with them.  FYI, I'm not affiliated with them at all, nor am I even particularly religious. for that matter.  They're just the best acoustic IR's I've used yet.  Cheers.

I made some of my own (which I use in presets I sell at MarketPlace) and I also love the ones from 3 Sigma.

I really want to try those Worship Tutorials ones.
