  1. 6 more amps, any two effects at once, more user presets, and best of all you can upgrade the old Catalyst to CX with a firmware update! https://line6.com/catalyst-guitar-amps/

  2. Update was a piece of cake, no problems at all, just be sure to back up your presets and perform a Factory Reset after the update, same as Helix/HX. They've fixed one of the biggest complaints - being stuck with Reverb vs being able to use any two FX! Still unable to disable cab sim, but at least they're working on it. The Pilot's Guide adds the relevant MIDI commands and includes the Audio Interface info (which channels do what). They've added some of my favorite amps and paired them nicely for different flavors of similar sounds. Very nice update!

  4. Just save another preset over this preset, then change it as desired.

  5. I think it’s the other way around. Think of the words ‘Recall’ and ‘Discard’ as applying to the changes made while editing a snapshot. When set to Discard the changes you just made are discarded immediately upon leaving the snapshot, and the next time you activate the snapshot it will be restored in its last-saved state. When set to Recall the changes you just made are retained rather than discarded, and the next time you activate the snapshot those unsaved changes appear. But still you must save the preset in order to permanently store the changes.

  6. As mentioned several others have recently reported similar problems with Customtone. Would you mind telling us your solution? Might help others.

  7. I had the same problem. I was able to bring the V20 back to life. 1. Start the Updater. 2. Press and hold FX1 + FX3, turn on V20. In a few seconds the Updater will show V20 version 0.00. 3. Run the update to version 1.0.1. A light snake runs on the combo. Result Error, the snake is still running. Now for the interesting part. 4. Press Continue, Updater will show V20, version 2.00 (current). The light snake is still running on the combo. 5. Run the update to version 1.0.1. Now a red ProgressBar will appear, the update will end Succes. The combo restarts itself, it works. 6. Exit Updater. Turn off the combo. 7. Now we will perform a normal update to version 2.0.1. 8. Start the Updater, turn on the combo, do not hold down any buttons. You will see V20 1.0.1 9. Run the update to version 2.0.1 (I had the files offline, on the PC). 10. A light snake runs at the combo, end Succes, the snake runs out, the combo restarts itself. And it lives with version 2.0.1.
