You can't use cab simulation this way, but Infact you don't need cab simulation because you use the cab of the dt50/25. When going direct from the dt it wil use the cab simulation of the direct out.

Hi, i use a bogner exctasy pedal as an exernal preamp, i created a dual amp patch ,by choosing just one amp with volume set to 0 in the 1st chain and leaving the second amp blank. ( you can also mute the 1st channel in the mixer) Now your signal is bypassed and going directly to the dt power section. You can place you're preamp in the pod,s effectsloop and place it in the second chain. Wich is then going directly in to the power section. Hope this is clear Grts marcel

I never felt the need to use the dt's own pre section i think the pod's are just as good, there the same like real zap said.

I know it, s a 2 channel amp, but the 2x 4 voicings can be used as 8 different tone's /amp's (channel)

I don't use a compressor, but yet the volume stay's quite the same when guitar volume turned down. Pedal offers allot of compression on it's own.

+1, the feel is amazing, extremely rich sound, even at brightest settings it doesn't get harsh/fizzy, and I even get great semi cleans with it using my volume pedal. on the other hand at rehearsal last knight I played my hd500 slo overdrive patch and fender bassman through dt25, made me remember how good the hd500/dt25 can sound. it's great to have the best of both worlds.

I gues you can set it up as a 8 chanel amp by selecting the two dt channels and 2x4 voicings via midi. One drawback is the amps eq section, it can not be programmed via midi it's so called wysiwyg, so you have to manualy do the eq changes each time you select a channel.

If we would ever see a model of this amp i sure hope it is close to the tone i get through the bogner red at this moment, very impressive pedal, expensive but worth every penny for me. Through my dt25 the hd500 is great, the red pedal is a great addition to my rig.

Maybe someday we wil get it or maybe never..... A bogner exctasy amp model, blue and red channels. Until that day i bought my self the analog bogner original(pedal) the RED one. Run it through the marshal plexi bright model set clean through my dt25. I can barely put down my guitar for the last week. Would be awesome if line6 modeled the exctasy amp.

I made my zelf à 200 watt 16ohm dummy load. Works great and is very easy and cheap to make, two 8 ohm 100watt heatsink resistors in series mounted in à dicast enclosure. I'm using it when playing in ear. THE thing do gets à bit hot after some time.

if you disable the ampmodel in a hd500x patch the dt50 will switch it self to channel B within the amp it self so a patch without a amp selected wil automaticly be channel B, so if you set you,re favourite dt50 rythm tone in channel B of the dt50 you can make patches within the dh500x with or without an amp model, giving you the choice of using the dt or the hd preamps. you can also assign a footswitch on the hd500x to turn the amp model on or off, witch will make the dt50 turn to channel B. when using the dt50 preamp all the effects used are in pre position within the chain.

with the new firmware, is it possible to change cab and mic on the direct out? would be great if this was possible.

Hi I also play at church / gospel /worship quire(hd500/dt25) I don,t get the phrase "worship tone" , wat is the difference with regular guitar tones?? I just set up my tones the way I like them and have different types of patches for each type of worship/gospel song we play, not thinking about how a "worship tone" should sound like. forgive me it is not meant disrespectful in any way I,m just wondering. I,m from the Netherlands by the way, maybe this is more of a US thing?

unfortunately that's not the case, the two amps don't have FS assignment, I,ve tested it again with a new patch without effects just two amps (other) and again just channel A comes through, until I put an effect (any) right in front of the amps and turn the effect on.

i,ve created a great patch for my hd500-dt25, it,s a dual amp patch , channel A: plexi 100 brt , channel B: j-45 brt. my problem is that channel B only works if i activate the effect right in front of the two amps, when turned of channel B stops working too so i only hear the plexi 100. my chain is: noise gate - tube drive - screamer - boost comp - analog chorus - the two amps - mixer set 100%L/100%R - delay - studio eq any help apreciated

not true , in edit you can choose the 4 voicings, pentode/triode, class A A/B with all preamp models. i run the treadplate in topology 3 and sometimes 1, soldano in 3 etc.

i know there is allot to say about this topic, but doesn't the dt uses the same pod pre amps. i have a dt25 /hd500 and i get amazing tone out of it, ok not perfect, don,t think there is a perfect rig. have tried dt25 alone with effects from the pod, also great, but in my opinion not better in terms of organic sound and feel.
