  1. only the effects return side has a boost , on the send you can only decrease the level, on the send you have to increase level for unity gain. there are many threats on this issue
  2. i use two pitch shifters one in the left signal path one the right at the begining of the signal chains.(octave up and down) with a overdriven sound it works great, tracks very good, even with simple chords, single note tracking is flaweless. no not as good as a pog but it does the trick for me.
  3. i use my hd 4cm with my tube head, sounds great, didn,t noticed any "tone suck" there is some level signal loss with the effects return send of the hd, but that's solved by placing the effectsloop block after the mixing block and boosting the mixer by 6/8 db.
  4. check "story of guitar heroes" by Phil Walker on youtube, sorry can't seem to get a link on here. both guitarists use the hd500x direct in to the pa
  5. hi do you have the delay set to the same footswitch as you're other patches? it could be a bad footswitch, my tap tempo/switch went bad and switched the tuner on and off by itself.
  6. the pre models dont have master sag hum bias controls, only full models do. nothing wrong in using the full amp models, they seem to have more gain on tap, especialy the low/mid gain amps, i use full models like the plexi and the Park through the power amp of my tube amps, sounds great.
  7. this is my current rig pod hd500x 4cable method in to either the brunetti xl revo 60watt or my recently purchased jet city 22h, selfmade oversized 212 cab, eminence governors on the pedal board a boss compressor , morley volume pedal , brunetti mercury drive expression pedal for pod signal chain: guitar-boss cs4 > morley volume > podhd pre preamp effects (wah overdrive etc)> podhd fx loop send > brunetti mercury drive > front jet city/ brunetti > fx loop send (amp) > fx loop return pod > podhd post preamp effects (delay reverb soloboost) > pod 3/4 inch out to amps effects return. i also use amp models by switching the fx loop block off and an amp model on (visa versa) both assinged to one switch fs7 , basicly adding an extra channel. very happy with my setup
  8. put the hd fx-loop after the mixing block in the chain and raise the left right mixing block volume to abouth 3db left and right, the fx loop of the hd cuts db's for some reason. i use the hd500x the same way with my amp, sounds killer.

  10. Axe fx is 5 times the money of a hd500x, i would def complain if they didn't update regulairy for that kind of money. As for my hd500 i,m very happy as it is, would like to see some new od's boosts etc.
  11. Chuck Norris his hd500 never runs out of dsp
  12. thanks, contacted line6, they told me there is no second serial nr in the amp, maybe they are wrong.
  13. To make a long tale short, i found my stolen dt25 and hd500 at a pawnshop in a town close to mine, unfortunatly they took of the serial number stickers, does anybody know if a serial nr is placed anywhere within the amp and hd500? grts Marcel
  14. Suhr riot, !!!!! I also like to see more dist and od models instead of amp models.
  15. You got me there for a while, i have to admit, ☺ï¸
  16. Maybe? I just a/b 'd guitar straight vs hd500x 4cm 5 times didn't noticed any latency, nothing my ears could detect. I,m very happy with the hd in my rig. Maybe it has someting to do with some amp effect loops, mine is tube driven.
  17. tried it out this afternoon, works great, but i didn't noticed any difference to the normal 4cm, switched between the two 4cm's 5/6 times, not any noise and latency difference that my ears could hear( didn,t noticed any latency with the normal 4cm in the first place)

    Solo Boost

Studio eq at the end of the chain, gain to +4/5 db Thats wat i use, works fine
  19. i run my hd500x 4cm trough my full tube "brunetti xl revo", i can make almost all the distortions sound great through te clean channel(love the screamer and tube drive) ,(some just arent my taste) ,this was definitely not the case when i had the dt25 head(got stolen out of my car) using clean amp models that was a struggle. used amp model distortion mostly. i also have alot of analog overdrives and distortions ocd, bogner red, riot etc, yes analog offers someting extra but the hd500x sounds very decent to me, very stage worthy. the preamp models through the brunetti's power amp also sound very good, "maybe" better than th dt25 did, (do miss the negative feedback topology's) like "stephenSLR" i also think the hd doesnt work for every amp
  20. mm oke, a extern delay pedal i supose
  21. That makes sense, a bit disapointing though, i only use delay, reverb, chorus, overdrive per patch.
  22. thanks!!! managed to work it out , i use the "program change" mode, works great!! the pod saves the midi settings per bank, but my plan was to create different patches for each channel and use fs 5,6,7,8 for channel changing in abcd mode A+B clean channel C boost channel D lead/solo channel so i can use different effects for each channel, but the pod doesn,t spillover effects between patches  am i wright??
