No. AFAICT Exp Pedal Bypass always overrides the FS Bypass.

From Wikipedia: Pan law, or pan rule, is a recording and mixing principle that states that any signal of equal amplitude and phase that is played in both channels of a stereo system will increase in loudness up to 6.02 dBSPL

OP likes the size factor of the Stomp. I get that. Native IS the solution!
-
$99 for Native or 2 minutes to swap wires and change a global setting. OR get a full-fat Helix. Then you could also utilize the SPDIF on the RME and eliminate AD/DA conversions.
-
You already tried ASIO4ALL with exactly the results I'd have predicted. Somebody gave me a MAC. I gave it back. To re-amp in your configuration with the RME as AI, record a DI track, route it to the outs on the RME, take those to the HXSXL RETURNS (have to set them to RETURN in Globals), set the Input Block of your preset to RETURN L/R, then record your re-amped track. EZ PZ.

Yes. Look up COMMAND CENTER in the manual. Yes, although the Freqout will work best between the guitar and whatever. Discussed elsewhere on this forum. Yes. From the manual: 12. PEDAL/EXT AMP 1-2 Two expression pedals can be connected to the HX Effects device and assigned to adjust a wide variety of parameters. When adding blocks within the Signal Flow view, EXP 1 is automatically assigned to control and bypass Wah, Pitch Wham, or Poly Wham blocks, and EXP 2 is automatically assigned to control Volume and Pan blocks, making them ready for use with your connected expression pedal(s). See “Assigning a Controller” Alternatively, either jack can be connected to your traditional guitar amp to switch its channels or turn its reverb on and off. Use a TRS cable for dual operation (A=tip, B=ring). To set this jack’s function. See “Global Settings > Preferences”

Since you have a Stomp you should qualify for the $99 discounted price for Native. Record a DI track and re-amp it through Native. Don't forget to record a MIDI track if you're using an Exp pedal for anything. OR you could buy a MAC and use both interfaces at once. Native is cheaper.

I've found on both devices that anything less than a FIRM STOMP can result in this behavior. Not to say that the problem ISN'T caused by dirty contacts, just an observation.
-
Yep, my bad! Probably a caffein thing. I'm not deleting my post though because when he gets his Powercab that'll probably be his next post. Personally, I just don't like the HF drivers in either my FRFR112 OR my Powercab, and use LF Flat with IRs. YMMV of course.

Your options are limited. A small mixer can split that signal.
-
The Input Impedance of most guitar amps and modern pedals (except fuzzes) is 1M. Do not confuse IMPEDANCE which is measured in OHMS and LEVEL which is measured in decibels. Apples and rocks.
-
Send him the XLR signal.
-
Yes, if you manage to match it exactly. Yes. Impedance is 1M. Always. The Guitar INPUT is the only place it can be adjusted. Do us a favor? In the future, when you ask for help, provide as many details as possible and, if we specifically ask you for more information, provide it. That saves us all a LOT of time and effort coming up with solutions for you that won't work because you haven't provided the info we need. Thanks!

Place a SEND R Block at the end of the chain and set SEND/RETURN R to INST. Take the RING (R) signal to the Digimax 1/4" Input. OR Do the same thing but take the RING signal to a DI Box and take the XLR from that to the Digimax XLR. OR Buy a Helix. You know you want one...
-
Guitar>Helix Input>Helix 1/4" Output set to INST in Global Settings>DSL40. XLR Out set to MIC in Global Settings>Digimax XLR/MIC Input. Done.
-
Maybe if you say what exactly you're using (Helix? HXFX?) into what kind of amp (Pignose? Marshall Super Lead?), what you need to use the available outputs for and what exactly you're trying to accomplish, maybe I might be able to give some advice?
-
Output level is not the same as output impedance. Impedance is a constant, level is a variable. When you use the level parameters in the blocks that's what you're changing, the level. When you use the INST/LINE settings in globals you're doing the same thing, only by a fixed amount to accommodate the input/output level requirements to maintain headroom in different types of devices. To put it another way - while different impedances can affect the volume from a device, the reverse is not the case. It's complicated electronics gobbledyg00k. Google it for a better explanation.
-
No, but you can use the level settings in the blocks themselves to accomplish the same thing.

HX edit 3.11 wont update to 3.15 but Firmware updated to 3.15

OK! I'm a PC guy, so hopefully one of the ever helpful MAC guys will take it from here. -

If you've tried EVERYTHING in this thread, then your computer must be defective. Corrupted OS. Bad memory. A witch's curse. Could be many things. Since you don't specify what KIND (make/model/specs) of computer you have (it matters), no one can suggest what to do next. -
Works great...until you make a change to any one of the presets.

It's OK to hate your Powercab. Good guitar tone is personal and subjective. There's lots of amplification solutions to fit all tastes. So don't take this personally, it's just an observation, not criticism or an attack. Most people who hate their Powercabs say that it's because they're dark and muffled sounding (blanket over the speaker syndrome). You hate yours because it's too trebly and "tubby", whatever that means (I don't get "creamy" either). Kinda the opposite of most everybody else. Go figure! FWIW - since my last post on this thread I've owned a PC112+, which I didn't much like, not for the definitive reasons I just mentioned, I just didn't like the way it sounded. So I sold it and got a PC212+ which sounds much better and is really cool for ambient stuff. Most recently I got a Catalyst100 which I'm TOTALLY happy with, both by itself and especially as the DRY component of a W/D/W rig with the PC212+. Different strokes. Hope you find an amplification solution that makes you happy!

If you mean having a setlist with ONLY those 4 presets, no.

IF you are using Helix as your AI (ASIO Device in your DAW): Use the Cab Sim/IR in Helix to Direct Monitor (no latency) to your studio amp while recording. Record from USB 1/2 (processed Helix track), Track Monitor switch OFF. Create other tracks to record from USB 7/8, Track Monitor switch OFF. That's your unprocessed DI track(s). Create other tracks for REAMPING. Put Helix Native and/or whatever else you want to use for processing there. Route the DI Tracks to the REAMP tracks. If you're NOT using Helix as your AI, Direct Monitor as above and take the Main Outputs (XLR) to a "Processed" Track. Place a SEND Block just after the Input Block and use that SEND for your DI track. In either case, if you're using an expression pedal for anything, don't forget to record a MIDI track to use along with your DI track and re-amping sims.
