  1. wow - thanks Guru - I will look into that - appreciated
  2. I've got a bunch of Glenn DeLaune presets and they work great. They are the stripped down amp patches. He basically took all the amps in the Helix and put them in as Snapshot 1 (amp drive = 3.0) / snapshot 2 (amp drive = 4.5) / snapshot 3 (amp drive 6.0) and snapshot 4 (amp drive = 7.5) - pretty basic so each shot is a little crunchier...so why is it when I'm trying to have only 1 amp and change the drive from snapshot to snapshot - it's not remembering? anyone else having these issues? thx K
  3. Curious as to whether it's possible when switching between snapshots, that it could carry over the qualities of the previous patch/snapshot? This is hard to describe and maybe I'm missing the right term. I'm building the snapshots for the Police's Synchronicity 2 song. There's that chaos part that happens prior to the last verse. I'm hoping to be able to switch out of a really saturated delay/reverse delay warble patch/snapshot and switch it back to the main guitar part...but have that chaos patch slowly dissipate over the regular verse patch. thanks in advance for any pointers.
  4. ok....just got my answer by reading some more..."Note that all snapshots in a particular preset share the same models; you cannot, for example, add a US Deluxe Amp block in Snapshot 1 and switch its model to Essex A30 in Snapshot 2. However, if Helix has enough available DSP, you can load both amps into the same preset and snapshots can enable neither, one, or both of them." now it's making sense. K
  5. I've been looking through the LT manual and trying various methods...and can't seem to find this. Isn't it possible to copy a snapshot from 1 preset and paste into a completely different preset to another snapshot. I see where you can copy/swap/paste within "A" preset, but seems crazy with all this unit can do that you couldn't do this. Nooby trying to figure it out - thanks in advance for any help. K
  6. I just had the painful epiphany of why my sound has been torturing me for many years. I have the HD400 and have never been completely satisfied with my dirty tones, but have been ok w/my clean tones. I am playing through a Zilla 2x12 closed cabinet. I finally realized I have all the cabs in my patches turned on and thought that was ok. Now I'm realizing that I probably shouldn't have had thoseturned on. Queue the Homer D'oh!!! I have a Helix LT on the way. I am assuming the advice would be that I don't turn on the cabinet modeling feature when dialing in my tones. Appreciate the help. I won't be recording with this - it will strictly be a working gig tool.

    Looping memory

I just pulled the trigger on ordering mine. I've been watching many videos but haven't yet found. Does the unit remember the last loop you did, or can you program in differing loops for replay?
  8. I've written this several times but no one has ever given me a decent reason of why they (Line 6 Tech folks) can't fix this. Either the HD300 or HD400 are so old that they figure it's not worth changing, or someone has provided excellent instructions on how to incorporate both drivers or other SW/Firmware fix...so everyone else is good to go. So here's my problem. You go to the customtone page to filter for HD400 tones only - but...it seems that 70% of the tones are HD300 which I can't hear on my HD400. How hard is it to either actually provide a filter that works or at least show next to the picture of the unit that it's the HD300 vs the 400. Again, some guy named silverfish tried to educate me on how to do some work-around where I'd be able to use the HD300 patches on my HD400...but I wasn't able to get it done. As stated earlier, I've complained about this before - but it must be a low % issue - because I've never had a decent response from anyone except that silverfish dude.
  9. On my display today for some reason - the patch name isn't showing in the LED section of the unit. It's showing the edit functions of DR BS MD TR VO & R only - I've tried rebooting - hooking up to my edit and controlling from there - but the settings remain? anyone have a clue what's going on? Also when I try to "send selected" after the patch shows a change with the "*" - it doesn't show that it kept the change.

    harmoniser

I've got the HD400 and tried dialing in a harmony from the smart harmony option. It's loaded with tons of major/minor/pentatonic...I finally found the harmony that works for the Robert Palmer tune "Bad case of loving you/Doctor Doctor" I chose the mel/minor for the key of E - and it was working perfectly - then when I saved it to my unit - it went into psycho land harmony and I couldn't replicate it. Has any one had success with that effect?
  11. I have the HD400 - I notice that ~80% of the downloads have the HD300. This happens even after I filter by only the "HD400" Do I need to download drivers for the HD300 in order to be able to use patches from the HD300 on my HD400? Is that even possible? Sure seems like as you move up the food chain/model # - that Line 6 would've built in the capacity to absorb older systems within the newer models? Also as a suggestion to the web designers, since the filtering doesn't appear to work, instead of showing a picture of the unit (HD300/DH400) why not just list which device it is rather than us having to hover over the unit to see what it is? Really appreciate any response to this.
  12. I notice on the download page, if I filter by HD 400 - nearly 80 % of the patches are from HD 300 devices. I hope this isn't too stupid of a question, and I couldn't find within forums...If I have the HD 400, do I have to download the HD 300 drivers in order to use within my HD 400 - are they compatible or not? In other words, can I download HD 300 sounds to be used on my HD 400 if I have the drivers loaded? thx K
  13. Hi - similar question but going backwards - I have the HD400 - I notice that ~80% of the downloads have the HD300. This happens even after I filter by only the HD400 - so do I need to download drivers for the HD300 in order to be able to use patches from the HD300 on my HD400. Sure seems like as you move up the food chain/model # - that Line 6 would've built in the capacity to absorb older systems within the newer models? Really appreciate any response to this. Thanks Ken

  15. Curious, what's up with the filtering on the download site? I choose HD400 and nearly 80% of all the downloads there are for the HD300 so I have to hover over every sound to see if it's right. Am I correct in assuming that if I have the HD400, no other PODs will work, or can I download other drivers to be able to use previous versions with the 400? thanks in advance for any help. K++-
  16. Am I able to use line 6 monkey and have my HD 400 edit work on my iPhone 6 ? I've use this on my other windows PC but finally want to get it on my iPhone
