  1. Anyone test the switiching patchs and guitar models yet? I wonder if the POP! is gone
  2. Up untill now I have had all l3m and l2m speakers. I bought a L2T with the built in mixer as a sort of back up incase the m20d ever dies out on me at a show we could at least throw vocals into the speaker. My question is if i used l6 from the l2t and chained the rest of my l6 speakers how many can i chain and would the subwoofer work with the cross over?. or say i want to go dj can i bring the l2t, a l2m and the sub ? Thanks!
  3. No problem I ended up getting a apple usb to Ethernet. The i pads definitely connect right away every time without having to power off and on the mixer like with the usb wifi stick. I am going to conduct some experiments this weekend and see if the lag gets anybetter
  4. I can confirm I am having the same issue with the headphone out. after a while i loose a side. I checked the monitor outs and those didnt loose a side but they are mono. I do not have the main outs hooked up right now so I cant confirm im loosing a side from the main outs
  5. Its normal. the m20d cannot send the real time data fast enough to work the spectrum analizer on a ipad properly sadly
  6. Seriously appreciate the support Line6 and these forums provide. thank you!
  7. I am not recording but the issue will get worse when I do. I am using the usb Linksys AE1000 High-Performance Wireless-N Adapter. Do you think a usb to Ethernet hooked upto a airport express would be a better solution?
  8. I will double check my signal path but the pop sounds the same as when you set a audio interface to a low latency and it "clicks and pops". Regarding the video issue the m20d screen and the ipads will all choke up and become unresponsive to the point where i will need to reboot . can you tell me how many ipads can be connected at the same time and not have this issue ? the goal was to be able to provide the drummer with control of his mix , lead guitar player with his control and front of house as well
  9. I do use one or two Ipads at once. This is with a headphone practice setup so my L6 speakers are not setup at the time. I am using the recommended cisco wifi adapter. do you think the issue is not CPU/RAM usage and wifi ipad related?
  10. We use all 16 channels in our 7 piece and lately I've been hearing occasional pops and clicks and sometimes the mixer will become unresponsive or seriously lag. Can someone tell me if lowering the amount of effects on each channel strip will help this? And does clicking the power button on the rack effect in the channel strip disable it to lower cpu or do I need to delete it from the channel strip all together?
  11. Im curious.. how many ipads did you have hooked up? My m20d goes to a standstill when i have more than two controlling the system.
  12. How many ipads can connect at once? I have got 5 at once but there is some serious lag.
  13. thanks man it was driving me nuts. I will hook up the stage scape and change it for every patch on the l2m and save the patch
  14. How do i stop patches from changing into electric guitar mode? I would like the l2m to stay into PA reference mode the whole time but it is switching to electric guitar mode for electric patches and is causing my sounds to be way too bright.
  15. id like to see the bluetooth ipad option on the hd500x. sure does suck trying to edit effects real time on the hd500
  16. hd500x 1/4 unbalanced out to snake then to Line6 m20d line level mixer 1/4in jack . question is do i need a di box? 15 foot cables being used
  17. 25 foot 1/4 cable into a acoustic with a 9v battery powered internal pre amp.and plugging into the m20d in of the 12 xlr- 1/4 inch jacks . im thinking mic level would be sent to the mixer via the internal preamp on the acoustic , but not sure able cable length , anyone have any thoughts?
  18. if they intergrate the ipad controls to the hd500x it would make editing effects in a live situation realistic!
  19. If you want to use one model guitar per song your ok, i like switching from a les paul for distortion and then to a strat in 5th position for my cleans = POP
  20. This is the response I got back from the support ticket Hello, I have tested this and confirmed that this does happen. To my ear, this almost sounds like a clip when the 2nd patch is loaded. I have found that when I am not strumming before changing tones I do not hear this pop. So, from that, my best explanation for this pop is that it is a clip when the new patch is loaded, since audio is still passing through the system while the next patch is loaded. The best recommendation I can give is to change your patch and then strum your note. I like to think about it like punching in during recording. You don't want to wait for the guy to start playing before you punch him in, you punch him in just before he starts playing, otherwise there is a pop. The same principle applies here. Stop playing momentarily (mute the instrument), change your patch, then keep playing and you will not experience this pop. This may be something that will be resolved moving forward but I cannot say that with any certainty or time frame at this time. Jon Line 6 Customer Support
  21. i really do like the amp for practice i hope they add the iPad capability to a gigging amp
  22. n cab simulated out, doesnt mention anything about using with a hd500 or variax , no l6. just a 1/8 in a usb port and headphones on the back lol
  23. is this yamaha's doing? I really like the idea of the ipod interface to edit effects but the amp it self seems like a toy and is ugly
  24. im not impressed with the unit either, judging by the price it doesn't seem to be a high end replacement but more a practice amp. i would like to see another model suited for variax owners. no cab simulated out also makes me think this isnt meant for us gigging dudes
