Is Helix physically capable of sending MIDI clock?

what does this mean? Yes it is a simple firmware update or yes it does not contain the physical hardware for future MIDI clock? It wasn't really a yes or no question. -
I know the Helix currently doesn't have the ability to send or receive MIDI clock. My question - Is this as simple as a future firmware update or does the Helix not contain the physical components necessary to be able to handle MIDI clock? If the Helix doesn't have the necessary hardware to ever support MIDI clock I will need to buy another product. If it is just a matter of a future update I will hang in there for the update.

Not sure how you can be a big proponent of MIDI sync, yet ask which effects would you sync to MIDI? To me that's kind of like saying I'm a big proponent of something I don't really understand. For me the big Issue is having the Helix send OUT MIDI clock information to outboard effects.

Works great other than the lack of midi clock.

I just want to be able to send midi clock to my external devices (Strymon Timeline & Mobius).

I was so hopeful with the 2.1 update that we would finally get this. I don't know how anyone using a rack delay or modulation is not completely frustrated by this. I can't just tap the tempo on the helix instead I have go to the rack and tap it there in multiple places. Sucks when you are trying to change tempo on the fly.

This may have been mentioned previously but a Metronome would be great. Even a metronome block would work.

Thanks for the answer. Too bad it couldn't be assigned to the instant commands and keep the foot switches open for something else. Thanks again for the quick response, this was driving me crazy.

Not sure if this is normal or not but i cannot save different Instant Commands for each snapshot for the Ext Amp Command. I want to have snapshot one be the clean channel on my tube amp head, snapshot 2 the mid gain channel, and snapshot 3 be the lead channel on my amp. I cannot do this as every time i change the value in one snapshot it changes for all snapshots. As a workaround i can assign footswitches and save their state for each snapshot but i would rather use those footswitches for effects blocks. Is there a setting somewhere i am missing or is this not possible? Let me add that i am able to add different instant commands per snapshot for program changes without an issue but not external amp control. According to the manual saving Ext Amp control can be set per snapshot using the command center. It is not working for me. The strange thing is it worked when I first updated to 2.0 but the next day when I went to play it didn't work and still doesn't work. I tried reinstalling 2.0 and it is still not working.

I am using the helix floor unit to control the helix rack along with the amp heads. I also have a helix control but am not using it. As far as getting the helix floor unit to control everything it is simple to do for some things but tricky for others. It took me quit a bit of thought to get it working well.

. They are called Barefoot Buttons and I love them. I bought the clear ones so the color would shine through.

I am using the helix floor to control the rack and channel switching on both heads. This setup is very flexible and sounds killer. Minus a couple things I had to develop work a rounds for it is perfect.

I am using a line 6 helix floor unit to control my guitar amp setup which includes a line 6 helix rack. I should be able to turn effects blocks off an on but I can't. As a work around I assign footswitches to the mix parameter but it would be much more convenient if I could just bypass it turn on effects blocks. I can do it with the helix control so why not with the helix floor unit? Another thing that would be nice is to be able to assign more than one command to a footswitch in the command center. This way I could change the channels on both of my amp heads with one button while staying on the same preset. Right now I have to change presets to change both channels. The rjm mastermind has a cool feature where you can link switches via groups so that when you switch on one button it shuts off another. I know I can toggle between effects using the same button but sometimes it's not a toggle situation I am looking for. Right now I have to change presets to pull off this move. Anyway just some wishes for future updates.

I already own the Helix Control and it would probably work ok if i didn't have other pedals being used in front of my amp. I don't want to have to tap dance. I like to be able to push one button and control everything. I also run a dual head setup and unless I am changing patches for every sound i don't think the Helix Control would be able to handle the channel switching of both heads. I am not sure how it is logical to think that i would have to push a preset button twice in order to reflect what is already showing on my controller but I do appreciate the response.

I am having a strange issue controlling the Line 6 Helix rack with my Mastermind PBC. When i initially change to a new preset on the Line 6 Helix the state of the individual blocks is not reflective of the state of the blocks as programmed in the Mastermind PBC. I know that currently the Helix does not support bypass of individual effects blocks using midi CC so as a workaround i have setup the Mastermind PBC to control the mix level of each effects block. I.E. instead of an effects block being bypassed the mix level for that effects is 0%. If i go from preset 1 to preset 2 in the Helix the mix settings that are saved per midi CC buttons on the PBC are not being reflected on the Helix. But if i press the preset button again on the PBC (in this example preset 2) then the mix settings are reflected. I have to be on the preset first and then press again to get the mix levels to reflect my programming. Am i doing something wrong or is this just the way the Line 6 Helix is setup? I am using the most recent firmware version for both the PBC and the Helix. In order to create different settings for each section of a song (intro, verse, pre chorus, chorus, bridge, etc...) I create 1 preset on the helix and recall that preset for several presets on the PBC. This way the effects level can be different for different sections of the song. I cannot change presets on the Helix due to the need to press the button on the PBC twice when selecting a new preset. I hope this makes sense. If there is anyone that can help i would really appreciate it. Thank you
