The other way you can go is to try a hd500x line 6 and a L3t speaker system.... It's the perfect rig with no tubes

agree, I started my quest for multiple channel amps years ago, for different tones, when you were lucky to get an amp with one EQ and two gain stages, maybe a crunch and bright button that was non foot switch operated... The need to play blues, southern rock, 80s hair metal and have a lead channel led me eventually to Digitech rack mounts with Rockman modules too ( Rockman units are still incredible if you can find them, the best noise gate and EQ ever had, made by the Lead guitarist from Boston) then back to tubed amps like the Peavey JSX and eventually for quick setup and multiple tones to a Line 6 VETTA.... We needed to be fast for setup and tear down because it ate into our gig time and the Drummer was ALWAYS the hardest to set up...lol when you don't have Roadies EVERYONE in the band knows how to setup the drums....LOL Then practice, and quiet studio work with no background mic bleed led me to. uX1. X3Live then became the mainstay for practice and then live usage, now the HD500x.... Analog, Digital, it's impossible to tell the difference now.... And MANY of us that keep moving forward in our quest for that TONE we all hear in our heads have lead us to digital... And sound guys love us, and we shock the hell out of traditional analog users by having consistantly great sounds that rival theirs or blow theirs away....

Neil Schons rig is a stack of Marshalls and a rack with an Axe Effect actually running things

I know this is time consuming, but I took a patch I liked and cleared an entire set list... I set up every amp on their own bank dry... Then went trough and set them up, messed with amp cabs, Mics etc.... I actually found ALOT of amps I liked... Some of the fenders, a fender champ, some black face... Some of the Bogner emulating patches, the engl... And even quite a few of the line 6 created ones... I suggest doing this... You will be surprised

Behringer Eurolive F1220D- AS FRFR MONITOR PODHD500x
shredjsx replied to strayfalcon's topic in POD HD
As far as having to have stuff that is main stream.... I loved showing a guitarist up once... He had a Gibson LP and a Marshall PLEXI Lead... And if you had anything else yours sucked... I showed up with my Esp and A 5150 Peavey combo... He was railing me... The. We started playing and my rig was knocking stuff off the walls across the room And he couldn't understand how could my gear sound better than his I LOVED IT!!!! Point, just because it's a different brand and a little cheaper, it might be s diamond- 18 replies

Line6 Discontinuing JTVs?
shredjsx replied to johoffry's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
True, I wouldn't have heard about them in detail if I wasn't on here..... And it's the kind of guitar that you HAVE to try, not just buy blind.... And my GC only had 2 guitars -
Behringer Eurolive F1220D- AS FRFR MONITOR PODHD500x
shredjsx replied to strayfalcon's topic in POD HD
Surprisingly Beringer stuff is actually pretty well built... The reason it's affordable it its act made by the Grman Government instead a fan outside self owned company... That being said... I used to run my X3live direct through our PA and dedicated to a monitor wedge back at me... It sounded find- 18 replies

Cool, I'm gonna start with 9.5 hybrids and go from there.... As soon as my pickguard comes in Thanks

Yeah, stereo sounds great through the studio mix, our our own home system, but I run a mono effect last I my chain live
-
Agree one hundred percent.... In the music world one plus one still equals one... In the real world one plus one equals why I don't have an American made Gibson Les Paul....
-
Loose the DI box.... And you need to use 2 cables/2 channels to run stereo... PC will always be stereo due to USB port.... 1/4 inch cable will only run left or right

You will LOVE your hd500x, I loved my JVM410

What Is Better?jtv Or The Old Variax 700?
shredjsx replied to arislaf's topic in James Tyler Variax Guitars / Workbench HD
I actually never played an older Variax, but I loved the no pickup look.... But as for try guitars, I love the look of my jtv 69.... The body is strat like, but changed just enough to make it distinct and original... I also am surprised that I love the pickups!!! My ESP has a SD Custom in the lead and noiseless SD stacked single coils in the mid and neck.... I love those, and yet I like the sound and response out of the JTVs that I won't change them -
Lol sorry Tascam US- 1641 http://tascam.com/product/us-1641/

I agree!!!! ( my next door neighbor in my apartment does not...) If it's too loud you're too old!!!! Coolest thing I ever did at a gig was walk out in the audience area with my wireless during sound check and REALLY hear my amp.... Amps sound so much better further away because they are meant too.... I loved it!!!!

That controlled feedback is something I always reach for.... I'm a George Lynch, EVH, RandyRhodes, Carlos Santana fan.... Question: How are you trying to get that squeal? Are you trying to make it scream? Or just hit a fretted not and make it ring forever? I use pick, or "pinch" harmonics and get a lot of good squeals and feedback from the HD500 depending on the amp... Use a little more gain, raise the presence a bit and the Mids... Then, I guess the best way to explain it... Hit the string with the tip of the pick and the edge of your thumb at the same time... Usually accompanied by a whole step bend... I also have a digital delay set at 330 with the highs boosted, repeats or feedback set at 20, ( I want to hear three repeats with the first one starting at the top of my bend...!and the mix around 35.... And try hitting different spots in the string to get the right squeal... Then also face the Speaker.... My picks are also sharp pointed tips for better precise attack and easy to pinch harmonic..... As far as the single note feedback.... Carlos and Uncle Teddy would set up, walk around the stage hitting different notes till he found the areas the fed back and tape the floor there.... But again, gain settings, Mids presence and treble have slot to do with it.... So far I can feedback on the amp sims for 5150, Engl, 2204,Bogner, Mesa, most of the high gain Amps, believe it or not even Vox.... Face the speaker again helps

Cool, thanks.... What is the warranty on my guitar?

Unfortunately ASIO for all is the only thing that allows my program to see the HD500. But it seemed to work.... I only turn it on when I'm using my DAW though
