Well you did ask for the best way B) Providing you keep your amp as clean as possible you'll be fine. Drums with overdrive sounds like donkey.
-
My amp has an FX loop so I use the 4 cable method. The Trio is the last thing in the chain before the signal goes to my amp return.
-
Nothing obvious. I hooked up and ran the updater, no new firmware showing.
-
Just a heads up that an Android app update has been released. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.line6.firehawk&hl=en The "what's new" change log has not been updated and still showing 1.10.0, so no idea what has been updated.

If I understand the question: You can save a patch with the wah switched on (instead of the default volume pedal on). When you load that patch the wah will be active.
-
It's there now. I loaded it it up just to see if it loaded the same, and yes the FX Loop block is missing. Strange. Maybe make the support team aware.
-
I can't find a tone with that name.
-
Using the Firehawk for effects only, no modelling? Looks fine to me. Create your patch to include the FXloop and raise the FXloop mix to 100%

Latency half a second at preset change on Firehawk?

The lag and display issues have been suggested on http://line6.ideascale.com/ Vote em up and they may get some attention from Line 6. -
Got mine from eBay UK.

If you get the shim right under the rubber buffers it wouldn't disable the wah. It would just provide extra resistance to activate the switch, which should eliminate accidents. It's not the solution you are looking for, but a workaround.
-
I don't think you can disable the switch but I'm prepared to de corrected if anyone knows different. There isn't a mechanical adjustment to solve this, it's all about the two rubber bump stops under the pedal. A Stevekc says it will need a shim between the bumpers and the Firehawk surface. I would look around the house and find something about 1mm thick to start with, then glue to the surface when you get it to your liking. My problem was the other way round, in that the switch was way too hard to activate.

I finally got around to swapping the rubber feet today. The original feet are 5.5mm high, the new ones are 10.5mm. The swap equates to an increase of just 2.5mm at the bank up switch. A small change but surprisingly this is enough for me not to hit the patch switches unintentionally. I didn't need to change the original screws.

Good ideas, gets my vote.

I don't see the 'assign to pedal' option in the apps looper controls, so I guess not.

Thanks, I've added my vote. -

I would if I could find it. Got a link for it? -
A handy tip, thanks. My rubber feet will arrive next week. Cost £1.89.
-
Yep, I'm happy with it. Just enough room to coil my 15' multicore cable in there and sit the Firehawk on top.
-
Thanks guys, I'll follow this up.
-
Anyone got a link to suitable rubber feet? eBay maybe?
-
I've gone with the Gator GK-2110. £24.99 delivered.

I wish there was. It's an unnecessary ball-ache. A long press on the bank switches to fast scroll would be nice too. Both of these can now be voted upon in Ideascale. http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Firehawk-FX-Display-After-Switching-Banks/725841-23508 http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Firehawk-FX-Fast-Scrolling-Through-Banks/725842-23508

Sorry to hear that. Hope they replace the unit quickly.

Via PC. I didn't want to risk updating over BT as the connection kept dropping out. Downloaded and installed the driver package and then the Line 6 updater. BTW, played for an hour+ last night and everything was stable.
