  1. it is strange that line 6 doesnt do this if they are so proud of their amazing new modeling of the amps.Thata the 1st vid i would produce initially. Makes me curious and apprehensive.I agree the hd500 had alot in it but to have to tweek it so much to get decent tone made me sell it. I have preordered at a good discount so i will definately just be trying amps and cabs only..with mild reverb some of time to get a feel for the amps quality and feel. I was suspended over at the gear page over my remarks about questioning line 6 not showing just the amps and cabs...There are too many koolaid drinking fanboys over there....I am a fan of no company...i want tones-results to prove to me its really upgraded modeling. So many vids on the chewey univibe and tremolo and delay and reverbs and talk about flexibility..all well and good but no vids just on the basic modeled amps showcasing them...wierd!
  2. via the l6 link yes but via midi templete in the helix i think the changing of the models in the dt amp may be possible at release...i just hope they may make some templetes avail for doing this via the midi contol.
  3. there is likely a new dt amp coming but i hope they have templetes to use the existing dt amps. Like a templete to use the midi in the helix to switch the internal power amps of the dt amps..
  4. I wish line 6 had more vids ot clips of examples of the amps and cabs. The effects and flexability have been covered over and over and are outstanding but I am still leary on the main thing the helix should be strongest in and that is the individual amps and cabs-somewhat dry maybe with a touch of reverb would be a great demo. thank you
  5. I too wonder about latency between switching patches. I wish it was instant and carried over the effects trails untill you played another note after switching like some keyboards do.
  6. i hear you...i am on the fence about selling my dt-25.....If i got a decent price like 700-750 i would sell it...but too many guys want them for 4-500.00 and for that its just not worth selling.
  7. thanx...waiting on an email to me is silly..i mean my order date was 5/25 so i hope they respond BEFORE the 30 days is up...I mean a phone call would likely be faster and more confirming..
  8. thanx i saw this and emailed them...I de authorized my pc which was the only thing in the list under my authorized devices....
  9. i am confused... sorry...should i de authorize my pc as its the only thing listed under the authorised devices...
  10. i went to the link and here is what is listed.. Authorized Devices name identifier status authorized date deauthorize CONTINOS-PC Windows Vista authorized 16 Jun 15 X
  11. under my authorized devices now is just has my pc which i just authorized...thats it....so there is an x to deauthorize my pc....i hit that x and it deauthorizes my pc...but i still have no return button in my software purchase...this is frustrating..
  12. ok...my computer is not authorized....and in device manager nothing is listed ....eventhough i have line 6 edit for my spidervalve in my toold of the monkey in the license manager there is no list of gear......
  13. i have a floorboard and a spider valve 2 i registered long ago....but those are not dealing with model packs..
  14. this,,, License ReturnsEach Line 6 license (except iLok) includes a 30-day money-back guarantee. Log on to your Line 6 account Visit the Purchase History page Click the Details link for the order and click on "Return". NOTE: You must have fully deauthorized all of your devices using License Manager before the return process can begin. After deauthorizing your devices and completing the return process, you can re-authorize your devices to use with any remaining licenses. i dont see the return button under my details link..its not there...
  15. ok i did was confused with the de authorization thing...seeing as i dont have a hd500x...i called the line 6 but there is no option for returned software...
  16. i opened a ticket but they told me to follow the steps...and deauthorize the hd500x..but i dont have an hd500x yet....i decided to go with a helix so how would i return these model packs?(i bought on sale before getting the hd500x) thanx
  17. ok thanx....i expect 15 % to be the max off at most stores...maybe 20 if you r lucky in the future..
  18. if anyone has a link to music store coupons for a better price please post
  19. agree....i would love to see a vintage amp/rock version and a metal verson(not for me).....say with 10 amps which would be enough for me..it would be cool if you could get a cheaper one with say half the amount of amps geared to classic rock and vintage amps(for me) as well as metal for hardcore guys..
  20. i dont need one now...i mean i am a bedroom hobby player...but it looks interesting...this is not a hd500x killer..its in a diff price range...as far as the dt amps thing they will likely be coming out with a whole new amp for use with this unit....dt2 or something similar...i mean why not?...people cant expect a 5yr old unit to still be supported by new tech..its unrealistic....i would bet that the whole hz is the new game for line 6..meaning the helix is the topdog and eventually it will trickle down to the masses who cant afford 1500.00....so like a hz600 then hz600x...or something like that..as well as spyderhelix amps like the bogner stuff but with hz preamps.....i mean if i was line 6 this would be my direction...let the helix come out and see how many bite and wait for the magazine reviews and saturate the market with hype and then release the cheaper versions for people who cannot afford the 1500.00......phase out the hd line and replace with hz....EVERY COMPANY does this....korg did it with the triton to the kronos....rolands did it with fantom keyboards..ect ect....fender with cybertwin to the mustang....its progress....more bells and whistles..more power..more more more.....i still use the korg m3 keyboard which i like alot and sounds killer..i also have the kronos which is different and has like 9 synth engines and is cool but not "better" to me....I like the hd500x alot and with the dt25 its sweet...i still use my vox older valvetronix vtx 120 and 150 amps and they sound killer...as does my old tonelabs se and le....just not worth selling that stuff and losing so much money when they still sound great.....i am sure the helix will sound great too..i like line 6 and have their spidervalve 2 amp which i think sounds great too...
  21. i cannot seem to pull up the helix site..its frozen on the mouse over the image page....anyone have a link to a demo?
  22. lost me on the whole midi cable added thing
  23. well i will keep my dt25 for use with my hd500x....i mean i can still get the hd500x to sound very very good...if i get the helix i will use both setups i guess...unless the helix just blows the pants off the hd500x....they i will likely sell it with the dt25 as a combo setup to someone..I still use an older vox valvetronix vtx amp and a tonelab se and le and they sound amazing to me...so just because its older doesnt mean its bad.
  24. thank you for the reply....
  25. more specifics on the use with a dt25/50 would be great as i liked how the hd500x works with the dt25...i just hope the helix editor may show you the various power amps inthe dt25 to work with when the l6 link is used....this was a shortcomming with the hd500x editor...i am a visual person so i would have liked to have a dt editor as well..
