I don't have the Helix in front of me, but this should be correct... Push the menu button and select control panel. Use the joystick to highlight the graphic for the switch you want to name then press the knob under "Customize". Rename it however you like.

This was my experience as well. I get great sounds running the Helix through the FX return on my CAE PT-100. That said, I use the Helix through some powered monitors when playing live and leave the amp at home. I'm very happy with the tones I am getting and the easy setup.

I have noticed the volume ramp up when changing patches. I haven't managed to figure out what causes most of my patches to do it.

Agreed. I would love to have this option!

I need to fix the squeak on my expression pedal. Has there been an official reply from Line 6 regarding what type of lubricant should be used?

Easiest way would be to switch to a blank preset. If it's a simple enough patch, I guess you could assign all blocks to one footswitch.

Check out the Templates section for an example of super serial routing. I believe some of the factory presets use it as well.
