  1. While I'd hope for Line6 to extend compatibility to Catalina, at least I hope they don't eventually drop it for HX Edit. I wouldn'like to have to spend ~2000€ on a new MacMini just to be able to update my Helix...
  2. I highly doubt they add this to Helix. So much work to make it be good enough. It's much better having a separate device for this.
  3. I've tried to reproduce the "bug" but no luck. Since the feedbacker appeared as gray for the first time, now it always appears gray (instead of not appearing at all as before) when there's not enough DSP. Maybe it's a one time only thing.
  4. Yeah, that wasn't happening to me. Had a preset with a couple of amp+cab and some effects, and the feedbacker wouldn't appear, as explained above. Seems like a bug.
  5. Aaah, there it is. Thanks! Wow, it is indeed DSP insensitive. I could only add one amp+cab block to the preset. Not sure if I'll use it :-/ and yeah, it should appear as grey, not disappear. That's totally a bug to me.
  6. Nope. I knew it's a dynamics mono effect before I read your post. Actually, after dynamics mono, I checked ALL the categories just in case there was a mistake in the release notes. In dynamics>mono, I can see, in this order, deluxe comp, red squueze, kinky comp, ampeg octo comp, Rochester comp, la studio comp, 3-band comp, nose gate, hard gate, horizon gate and autoswell. Not any feedbacker.
  7. It has happened to me today. I followed all the steps (had the latest HX Edit version, backed up my helix, updated, factory reset and restore from backup), as usual. The feedbacker is not there. All other new additions are. I wonder what happened this time
  8. Tried a few times, yes. I have to try exporting again and see what happens. It's weird because this has never happened until this time, and I've exported a few times since I updated to 3.50 without issues.
  9. Huh, found a big bug this morning. I made a backup, saved a bundle and two setlists from my Helix LT, and when importing them to HX Native, all Amp+Cab blocks have been changed to just the amp. I'm reporting it to Line6 right now.
  10. I had all my Helix presets configured with that new per-snapshot command center feature introduced in 3.15, which is so convenient for my needs. Then I exported the bundle and imported it in Helix Native, changed many of the presets in Helix Native, exported the bundle and imported it to the Helix LT. Now the per snapshot command center seems to be lost. I can see the assignments on every snapshot are there, but when I press a stomp to move to another snapshot, the screen doesn't update with that snapshot new assignments. I can only recover them by going to the command center and changing each assignment, then set it back to the snapshot I wanted on each stomp. However, before spending like an hour or so doing this on all my presets, I was wondering: is there any seeing that might restore what I previously had?
  11. I've been wanting to ask people's impressions on current Big muff models in Helix for a while. I wasn't fond of the initial Triangle fuzz when I bought the Helix LT, and then I was a bit happier with the Bighorn, but I can't get the sound I'd expect from a Big muff from it neither. I just learnt about the Big muff Ram's head (which is the one the Bighorn is based on), and I'd swear the pedal sounds way better than the Helix model, although it's not quite what I had the muff associated to (easy example: Smashing Pumpkins' Siamese Dream). I wonder if people here is happy with the current BM models and I'm just being too much nitpicky xD I hope Line6 adds an op-amp model sometime in the future. I had that pedal and it sounded awesome. So fat and also full of harmonics.
  12. Here's a proposal for a vocals-oriented HX device: https://line6.ideascale.com/c/idea/1047767/

    HX Stomp for vocals

Oh yeah, totally. I was more thinking of the HX Stomp usage on vocals specifics, but I re-read your previous post and realized you were talking in general.

    HX Stomp for vocals

I see. Thanks! Any quick advice for the vocals EQ?
  15. I've been a tc-helicon voicelive touch user for a long time and I'm thinking about switching to HX Stomp, for more versatility and better user experience. Having been using Helix LT for a couple years makes me think of better presets on HX Stomp than in voicelive touch. I'm dubious because I don't know if HX Stomp would suit vocals properly, as I think it's designed for guitar and bass (it doesn't even have xlr inputs or outputs). Has anybody here used it for vocals and can give some feedback?
  16. Were you able to recover your presets then? :)
  17. Did you backup everything before updating and then restored after updating?
  18. Awesome! Got it. Thank you very much :-D
  19. Thanks for the replies! So, to get it right, the right approach would be to set the volume knob to only control either 1/4" or XLR, then have one output set to line level for your FR and the other to mic level for the mixer, right? Is there any benefit on sending XLR or 1/4" to the mixing board? I was a bit worried about directly connecting the Helix to the mixing board and not going through the FR, as the FR would play all frequencies unlike other monitors. Glad to see it's not that important :) PS: I marked the topic to notify replies but I got no email, and I got them before the forum update. It's this happening to anyone else?
  20. I recently switched from using a Fender amp to using a Headrush FR108 and I've been so happy in the rehearsals, but I played live for the first time with this setup last week and I'm unsure whether I used it properly. I connected the Headrush output to the club's PA, and I was told the output was way too loud (it was clipping with very little volume on its channel). I tried turning down the Headrush volume (it was at 50%, went down to 25%) and, while it stopped clipping, the Headrush was barely audible as a stage monitor. We didn't have much time to try other things, as other bands had to do the soundcheck, so I have this doubt: should I have just connected the Helix XLR output to the PA? I think volume would have been more controllable, but I would have lost the "full range flat response thing". Still, would it have been noticeable enough? Currently I'm thinking that for next gig I would keep the Headrush at home and just rely on the PA for monitoring. Do you think it's a good idea? How do you use Helix+FRFR monitor when playing live?
  21. I wanted to thank Line6 AGAIN for the new "HX Snapshot command per snapshot" addition in 3.15. It has improved my performance A LOT :D I usually have 8 snapshots per preset, and many times I was struggling to press one of the four top footswitches while singing and playing. Now, being able to only use the four bottom footswitches (init state, next snapshot, and the other two for optional alternate paths), I can focus on playing and singing, and the last few rehearsals have turned out awesome thanks to that. It might sound like not a big deal, but it's a big relief for me XD I was crazy in love with the new shimmer, but this new snapshot navigation mode is probably the most appreciated addition in Helix since I got mine 2 years ago. Here's hoping for a polytune and some poly synth effects in a future update, as I don't think I "need" anything else from my Helix right now ^_^
  22. Fixed. The problem was that I cloned the setlist on another computer with HX edit 3.11 and not 3.15. I updated and exported/imported, and all went fine.
  23. Thanks. Yes, I did the backup->update->factory reset->restore->turn off and on again to rebuild the 1024 presets. Then I programmed all those "change snapshot" commands, exported the setlist, imported on another setlist, and it didn't work fine there (it was still working fine in the original one). A strange thing I noticed is that after importing the setlist, when I turned the Helix LT off and on again, the rebuild presets process occurred again. Not sure if it's something normal after importing setlists, as I hadn't done it yet.
  24. The new "change snapshot" command seems to have a problem. I have a setlist with 10 songs programmed with the new "change snapshot" command. This works alright. Now, I exported that setlist and imported it onto another setlist (I want to have a clone for tweaking stuff while having the original intact), and on that new imported setlist the "change snapshot" command doesn't work 100%. When I press a FS to change to another snapshot, it does change (I can see it in the top right corner) but it doesn't update the screen with what the footswitches are supposed to do. Has anyone experienced this?
  25. I think I read here or in TGP something like "new products make it possible to develop new updates", and that somehow the HX stomp XL "paid" for the poly update or something like that. Therefore, I wonder what these catalyst amps will pay for! XD
