Snapshots are just a patch variation. Once globally set as above, the same applies to snapshots.

With cable, depending on the quality and length of your cables, you may experience some degree of highs being rolled off a little. With wireless, it depends on what system you are using. Some will allow optional settings that allow you to emulate your cable tone. Others might be set to emulate a fixed 10m cable e.g. my Line 6 G10 Relay does this. But certain wireless options, e.g. the G10, act as a buffer that gives a clearer, brighter tone. With a cable you can place e.g. any Boss stomp pedal in front of Pod Go that even turned off will act as a buffer. Currently, there is concern by some Pod Go users that it's single one size fits all impedance is creating some difficulties here. I believe that Line 6 are looking into this. You might also want to experiment with the Pod Go's 'instrument' and 'line' options to see if this might help.

A Line 6 Relay G10 also acts as a buffer.

If I recall correctly, the AER 60 is an acoustic guitar amp. These are not the same as FRFR. The frequency response and speakers are specifically designed to suit acoustic guitar characteristics not an electric guitar. For Pod Go you should consider an FRFR powered speaker. I use a Headrush FRFR108 but there are other solutions out there all at various price points. I went for the 108 because it's compact and light, and can be played very quietly or very loud...Its 2000w. If you use Pod Go with a guitar amp, I recommend you go through the fx loop return which will use the power amp section. The problem with going through the front of an amp is that even set clean, the preamp section will colour your tone. However only you can decide which you prefer. If an amp has no fx loop then you have no option. If you are going through a guitar amp speaker you may want to turn off the cab models in Pod Go, but again its a case of seeing what you prefer. For home use, you might also want some good studio monitering quality headphones ...I use Audio Technica ATH m50x but there are other good options e.g. Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80 ohms. Monitoring headphones are different to HiFi headphones for music, and are kind of like a FRFR equivalent.

@grdGo33 I think thats a really good post. Another approach to Ideascale may be needed to get more votes so I'm thinking of making a YouTube vid with direct links to the Ideascale section.

You asked for suggestions to help. Its always best to start with the basics. If you don't want to that's up to you of course. You might also want to check if your firewall or antivirus are the problem.
-
What computer do you have? Desktop, laptop, PC or Mac? It sounds like you may not be getting a strong enough signal via the USB between Pod Go and your computer. First thing to check is the strength of your internet signal using an internet speed checker. If it is slower than it should be, reboot your router. Next, check your USB cable. Try a different cable and see if this solves your problem. If your computer is a desktop PC and you are connecting via front USB ports, try using a rear USB port which will often provide a stronger signal. If this doesnt help or you are using a laptop, you may need a powered USB hub to provide a stronger signal.

Have you created a line 6 account?
-
Its not a hack. Its a JSON script change in the .pgp template and there are lots of variations Including one that can even give 10 user blocks. Line 6 are aware. If you want the feature legitimately, please go onto ideascale and vote for each request for this as this is the only thing they might pay attention too. They don't include it because of their ideology. They dont want to increase the number of greyouts that users might experience. Line 6 increased the blocks in HX Stomp from 6 to 8 but this coincided with polypitcg effects being added and folk complained about the DSP drain. Hence they are very reluctant to add blocks to Pod Go. But recent posts on The Gear Page suggest that if sufficient votes are evidenced on Ideascale, the door might not be completely closed here. Digital Igloo said "Feel free to keep pushing the expanded block thing, too (stranger things have happened), and IdeaScale is the place to get the most eyes on it."
-
Use snap shots. These can turn one fx on and another off and change parameters too.
-
Line 6, together with loads and loads of folk on forum boards, YouTube, Facebook etc etc (including myself) have repeatedly explained why that's simply not possible. The DSP used by the fixed blocks is very small and a small fixed amount of DSP is reserved for each of these. Think of them as being in a container that can only hold a tennis ball...you can have a different wah or a different volume because these are a different colour tennis ball but are all around the same size. Other fx like a compressor need DSP that are between a football and a beach ball size. You can't fit a football into a tennis ball sized container. And that's why you can't replace any of these fixed blocks with a different fx. Its also why the acoustic simulator can only be seen as an option in the main EQ section, and not in the fixed block EQ section ...because it's a football and if you want it, you have to put it in a user block!

Just to keep you all posted, we picked up from Digital Igloo on 'The Gear Page' that Pod Go should be getting some things (but not the big DSP heavy stuff) from the new Helix 3.15 firmware. Obviously this won't be until after helix 3.15 has been launched, but it's good to know Pod Go will be getting a firmware upgrade. However, before anyone asks or posts a wish list, I think it's reasonable to say following discussions on TGP that Line 6 won't be adding to Pod Go DSP info, additional blocks, or the ability to remove the amp/cab blocks. "Still don't know exactly what'll fit (last I heard, only one model from 3.15 is too big), but when Helix/HX 3.15 drops, you should have a pretty good idea of what's in store for POD Go 1.4. Not much longer now (Edit: for Helix/HX 3.15). We have a release candidate. Fingers crossed." Do you want some extra blocks in Pod Go? If yes, and if you haven't yet done so, please go to Ideascale and vote for this (and please vote for each request as there are several): line6.ideascale.com This is where Line 6 looks to see support for requested new features. Line 6 are anti this currently but recent discussions on TGP suggest that they might not be completely opposed to at least consider this if there is sufficient support on Ideascale that justifies its consideration here (no guarantees/promises of course). So, if you do want this to be added, please vote!

Pod Go screen is 4" x 2.25" - way bigger than HX Stomp. And PG has way nicer graphics than any of the Helix models - in fact, the quality of the colour screen & clear graphics was one of the big reasons I went Pod Go and not Helix LT.
-
I agree. Suggest you go onto the Line 6 Ideascale board to add this as a request for future firmware upgrades and/ or vote for it, if it's already been raised. This is where Line 6 look for customer feedback and take into consideration responses/ votes.

No, I'm afraid you can't do what you want. Per Doc brown from Line 6 (youtube vid comment) "With POD Go you won't be able to have volume, wah, and [EFFECT] each with a dedicated expression pedal. The built in expression lets you swap between EXP 1 and EXP 2, but when you hook up an external expression pedal the built in expression pedal becomes EXP 1 and the external pedal becomes EXP 2. So you have a max of 2 expression pedals when using POD Go." And also per p11 of the latest manual: "Expression Pedal Move the expression pedal to control volume, wah, or a customized combination of amp and/or effects parameters. Activate the hidden toe switch to toggle between EXP 1 and EXP 2. (The LEDs tell you which one is active.) If an external pedal is connected to the rear panel EXP 2 jack, the built-in pedal becomes EXP 1 only. " The only 'advantage' you get from an external expression pedal is that you don't have to 'click down' to engage the functionality change from eg volume to expression effect. Perhaps this is something Line 6 might address in a future firmware update. If it makes you feel any better, it's exactly the same in Helix except you can add 2 external expression pedals. I use two external momentary footswitches. You could use a foot switch (on board or external) to toggle between two tremolo speeds/and/or different depths which will at least give you some flexibility with the tremolo but whilst keeping vol/wah functions on board.

Just as with the real amp, some amps take to certain pedals better than others and most importantly each amps EQ work differently - so don't use the same amp EQ settings as for the dual rectifier. Different amps will interact quite differently with the same pedal - so try different overdrives/distortions. Some can be quite idiosyncratic - for example I'm not a great fan of the Boss Super Distortion BUT it really works well with eg a Marshall JCM800. I'd concentrate on getting your basic amp tone right first before adding EQ and a distortion effect - you need a good foundation to build on so treat each amp as a fresh tonal palette and start building your tone from scratch with each amp model - don't make assumptions - for example, with some amps the EQ is interactive eg changing the mids can impact directly on how the treble & bass EQ will interact. Really spend some time with each amps own EQ, sag, bias etc and experiment. I'd also suggest going on to youtube to listen to 'raw' tones of the real amp (no extras pedals) and see how close you can get without adding anything other than a little room reverb. Now, you won't be able to match the cab being used because you are going to a real cab and are not using cab models. But you should be able to get into the ball park. Then use an EQ and/or overdrive pedal if/as needed to enhance your tone - not to try and use it to compensate for an underlying poor tone - hence my comments re getting your foundation amp tone right first. I also wouldn't rush to add a 2nd noisegate - it's rare you'll genuinely need anything other than the 'free' gate at the front. And even then, use it conservatively and only as needed if you're getting a lot of noise. All gates will suck your tone to one extent or another. Think of it this way - with real amps, they will each have their sweet spots and quirks and it takes a while to get the feel of the EQ to get the right tone for you. You're now trying to do this for several different amps and so you need to appreciate that just as with the real thing, there's a learning curve - so just be patient and remember its important to enjoy the journey and avoid the temptation to try and find a quick fix. because I guarantee that every amp model in Pod Go can sound really good - or really bad, depending on how you set it. You also have to make allowances for your real cab which can be a double edged sword - on the one hand it gives a simpler more consistent set-up without worrying about cab/mic settings - but on the other hand you're restricted with an element of your tone that you can't change and the reality is that not every cab/speaker set will suit every amp.

Sounds like a physical fault. I suggest you refer to the dealer and get them to change it.

I'm just curious why you'd set a volume pedal to 50% on all patches....because as soon as you touch the pedal it will jump to 100% wouldn't it?

I assume you are on v1.30: Global Settings > Ins/Outs > Volume Knob

From the v1.30 update notes: "Prior to 1.30, POD Go’s Volume Knob only controlled the Main Outs (and Phones out, of course). Now you can choose whether it controls the Main Outs, Amp Out, or both" Have you tried switching between the above 3 options and are your headphones still not coming through on any option? Have you checked that your headphones work fine with other equipment? It's possible the headphone jack is dirty or stuck. Try spraying in some plastic safe electrical switch cleaner and pushing the headphone jack in/out several times to help clean/release it. It's also possible there's a fault eg a disconnected internal contact. If none of the above work, check with Line 6 support to confirm if it's hardware rather than software related. If it's a hardware fault, and the Pod Go is new, I'd suggest you then refer to the store and ask them to replace it.

Umm, two things - I've never heard of the guy, sorry ....but more importantly..... this is the Pod Go section! You need to post on the HD500 section perhaps?

I'll have a closer look at mine ... maybe I just haven't noticed it.
