  1. Hey all, Not sure if allowed – I have a tone I’ve been using in Logic Pro for years and haven’t had much luck translating that into the Helix universe. Happy to pay for your service. Thanks, Noah
  2. Thank you @codamedia & @datacommando Sorry, I should have been more specific: I was referring to the Main (output) meter within HN For the sake of wanting to make sure “everything” was correct (and trying to eliminate issues), I set everything to default or 0 to determine where I was having issues. As @datacommando actually linked it, my Input in HN is set to +1.5 due to the hardware I am using (Focusrite Scarlett Solo 2nd Gen, which is set at 0 and Instrument input as per the manual and video). MainStage is the “performance” equivalent of Logic Pro (still made by Apple). Maybe my amp settings and blocks just aren’t being set up too good in Helix Native as when I use Logic Pro/MainStage’s amp sim, I’m easy able to get great sounds with minimal efforts. There also seems to be a lot less dynamics when going through Helix Native; another reason for my post. There’s almost no difference in sound and amp despite how hard or soft I’m playing. This is not the case with Logic’s Amp Sim. Thank you both for your help and time to comment.
  3. Hi there, I have been using Helix (HN) Native for a long time now — maybe around 6 to 12 months. I unfortunately am never able to get anything to sound good. I have just noticed I’m getting two different output levels and I think this may be an issue as to why. I’ve watched numerous YouTube videos, and nothing I get sounds remotely like it (I understand different pickups, shapes, etc. all play a part...) When I hard-strum a chord, I see the meter on HN go up to about -16 dB, but my track meter goes up to -9 dB. I have ensured all levels are set correctly and still I’m having no luck. Input and Main are set to 0 dB within HN, and my track level is set to 0 dB. No input gate it enabled (Host Input block) and no levels adjustments or panning is set (Host Output block). There are no other inserts before or after this plugin. Any help? My setup: macOS 14.4.1 (23E224) (latest) MainStage 3.6.6 (Build Version 4952.8) (latest) Helix Native 3.71 (HelixCore 3.70.139c) (latest)
  4. Hi @silverhead I'm going Guitar → Cable → Scarlett interface → iMac... I will play around with the input signal within Native; I believe my input levels into the Scarlett are good! Hi @brue58ski thank you for your help!
  5. Hi, I currently only use Helix Native and a lot of the time I am struggling to get good sounds out of it. I have read that your DI can obviously impact this and I’m wondering if there are any recommended DIs to get? I am currently using Focusrite Scarlett Solo 2nd Gen. Thanks.
  6. The note sync isn't even correct too... They're all halved... So 1/1 (whole note) is actually 1/2 (half note), and 1/2 (half note) is actually 1/4 (quarter note)... Come on guys...
  7. What a f--king joke This has still not been fixed for 4 years?
  8. With Helix 3.50: This has also unfortunately changed the way scrolling works in general. When scrolling with the Magic Mouse on macOS, scrolling is unnatural and too fast. Can this please be fixed? Edit: scrolling is NOT fixed in 3.51 — it is still too fast. There didn't need to be any update to the scrolling in Native as it has no hardware. Please, can you revert to how it was pre-3.50. Another bug: Every time I insert a new instance of Helix Native (within Logic Pro), the "Current Hardware Compatibility Mode" is not set to my default that I have set. As I am using a computer, I have set the Default to "Off", yet when opening up Native on a new track, it keeps going back to "Helix Floor/LT/Rack" instead of "Off [Default]" My setup: macOS 13.1 (22C65) Helix Native 3.51 Edit as I was looking for the Helix Native build-number: I just clicked "Check for Updates" within Helix Native and there was an update (3.51)... is there no way of being notified of updates? This bug was fixed within 20 days of 3.50 being released, and I've been using an outdated version since. And, why is there still the 3.15 Update pinned on the main board? Why not have the current update pinned at the top? Thanks for your time.
