  1. push function is ok, but they are not good for dialing in the Parameters....first it takes about a quarter of the whole circle for some tiny jumps, and then, all of a sudden it jumps nearly to the opposite worth...it´s not easy to do that right...there are definitely better pots around...
  2. i worked a while on it now, but i´m pretty shure now that helix isn´t always showing and playing the right stored levels... i´m using a volume/pan block at the end of the signal chain - right before the signal goes to my power amp (in 4CM of course....). i use it in gain mode and try to have every preset to recall at 0dB, so i store the preset in a 0dB position or go to 0 dB before storing, using the very left knob...i also store the unit to recall with the volume/pan block showing up, so i can control the actual parameters...in the controller assign menu, i store the min value of -120dB and the max value of +4dB, giving me the possibility to add a 4dB boost for solos...(are these actually really 4 dB boost what i´m hearing, or is it less...?) now when i switch between two presets, sometimes the preset recalls with +4dB, which it shouldn´t, for i stored it at 0dB, right...? then after going somewhere else and then returning, it recalls at 0dB, as it should...i guess that´s not ok, isn´t it...? and then again...some presets recall totally diffferent, and i also have no chance to make them do a 4dB boost with the pedal heal down...it´s acting like the pedal is not calibrated.. anyone else with such problems...? can i actually set the unit, so it recalls the actual state of the volume pedal when i change presets...? i´m getting a little frustrated at the moment...have the feeling, this unit isn´t really ready by now...
  3. is the mkI the sameas the mkII, but with midi out DIN port instead of the usb port...? thanks, best, rudi
  4. question: can i use the FBV express MKII to control my behringer xr18 mixer in following manner: 1. using the A switch for sending f.e. a CC massage #16 on midi channel 2, toggeling between values 0 and 127 and at the same time use (for switching the behringer mixers´ mute group on/off) 2. the expression pedal for sending CC massage #26 on midi channel 3 in a range from 0 to 127 (for controlling a channel fader on the behringer mixer) and then use 3. the B-, C, and D-switch for sending a program change command #xy on midi channel #xy (to recall different scenes on the behringer) i saw, the FBV pedal doesn´t offer a midi out/through port, but i guess i could do the same thing via usb port, right? if this all is possible...would it also be possible with the MKI version....? thanks a lot!
  5. isn´t it possible to have differetn bypass behaviours for the fx blocks...? when i´m running an fx block in parallel f.e. i need a different bypass setting...!!! any ideas...?
  6. it´s not primarily meant for on/off switches (though this could also be done of course...), but for being able to make special curves...don´t you know this feature from axe fx...?...it´s very usefull!!!
  7. question: i don´t use the volume pedal block for volume control, but the output sections volume all the way from -120dB to a boost of +10db for solo level... (using 4CM)...i´m able to assign this parameter to my xpression pedal...but is there a way to make the pedal move logarythmically in that case...? would also cool to get more flexibility in programming the xpression pedal behaviour...at least a worth for the middle position together with some different curves...! please vote here: http://line6.ideascale.com/a/dtd/more-felxibility-in-programming-xpression-pedal-behaviour!!/792448-23508?submitted=1

    Please Fix This!

i´ve had the same problem...who is CS...??? there are some pretty annoying things when making presets with this unit... will there actually be a helix edit or sthg...? that would be very nice...! when you reorganize instant access switches f.e. you have to always rename the single switches again, which really is annoying with this joystick...or you should be able to store your favourite fx together with its´ settings and be able to recall them in other presets....
  9. hi! my nose pedal goes from 0 to 12 o´clock all the way from 0 to 127, and then going down once again the same...so it´s doing the whole thing twice on its´ way....can i calibrate this....? that´s definitely not cool...;-) thanks!
  10. yes....great fx, except the harmonizer thing, which is really weak....also some rc and bb boost missing for me...but it works great for me in 4cm...though it still makes some noise of course...but here again the noise gate works great as well... if the next generation helix is optimized for noise free 4cm the same as the fractal fx8 and also some harmonizer and detune fx are added or improved...this machine is the guitarits´ dream come true!
  11. which screws can i take off to use the wholes for mounting it to my board...? anybody done that...? i´m afraid any of the foot-screws could hold somthing together inside...? ;-)
  12. it seems the presets are ok (i exported them as a bundle and imported that again after the upgrade...), just the names are wrong...
  13. any chance line6 will model them...? i´m really using such smart boosters a lot...;-)
  14. what...???? no custom scales...? i can´t believe that...please line6...this is a very important art of a professional multi-fx unit...!!!!
  15. is there any video of the twin harmony fx around...? how does it compete against eventide or the axe fx....?
  16. there´s many out now...what can you tell about helix in 4cm...? how´s the noise...?
  17. yes...but all per preset...that means, when i´m on preset #1/preset mode, i then hit stomp mode and have eight dedicated stomps available, then, returning to preset mode, i hit preset #2, then back to stomp mode and have eight different stomps there (dedicated to preset #2...) and so on...so each preset in preset mode can have a totally different essemble of stomps in its´ dedicated stomp mode...right?
  18. do i get this right, that per preset, i can switch to a dedicated stomp box page...? so i could take a preset for a song, go to stomp mode and have there eight dedicated stomps per preset...? thanks!
  19. all frfr, right...? what about putting it through its´ paces with the 4cm...!!! thanks!
  20. don´t know if this is clear... i´d like to have an expression pedal on preset #1 send cc datas for some fx inside the helix, and on preset #2 f.e. have the same expression pedal send cc datas to an external unit, whereas it of course shouldn´t send these datas to the internal fx of course... so i´d need the expression pedal function (incl. midi out channel etc.) to be configured and stored different per preset and not globally... is that possible....? thanks, rudi
  21. will helix feature a wah auto-engage function...?
  22. ...don´t know if the question is clear...what i wanna know is: can i have the expression pedal on preset #1 be assigned to do the helix main volume, and on preset #2 f.e. send midi datas via midi out to control an external unit...? thanks a lot, rudi
  23. thanks, but the aux input inpedance is not 1 kohm, right...? sorry...i meant 1 megohm of course...so can somebody verify if it´s 1 megohm then...?
  24. is it possible to store individual input levels per preset, so i can switch between electric and acoustic...? thanks
