  1. Thank you kind sir. Trying to have a wet/dry/wet kind of setup. Maybe there is a better approach? I don’t know. Still have an old Axe Fx Ultra lying around so… :) Edit: I use a lot of delays and reverbs in my patches hence I’ve added the hx effects to the chain. The stomp can’t give me that. And I’m also using dual amp on the stomp.
  2. Hi guys. Maybe someone can chime in to this query?
  3. Hey Silverhead.. Please see attached image.. I did the whole rig.. So I have 3 outs, one mono (DRY) signal coming out from Axe FX direct to FOH, then stereo (L&R) from Helix to the FOH.. The green highlight is the AXE FX connection..the blue HX Effects.. and gray, the Stomp.. One arrow represents mono, two arrows stereo..
  4. Hi. Just wondering if I’m doing it right. I have both the fx and hx stomp which are being connected via 4cm. Am I going to set all ins and outs as Instrument Level or is there somewhere in the loop that I need to set as line? Thanks in advance for your help.
  5. Thank you. That solved the problem.
  6. I know there are threads about this and I was able to make it work by assigning cc messages to the hx stomp. Thank you for those info. But what I wanted to do is while I am on snapshot mode in HXFX, it can also change the snapshot in the hx stomp. I haven't figure out a way to make this work. Is it possible?
  7. Hey @Bigpapajake, were you able to get it to work? I have the same problem. It can work by assigning cc messages (pressing mode button after selecting a preset)but not on the snapshot mode.
  8. Hey @rd2rk Will there be an AD/DA conversion from hx effects to hx stomp and vice versa?
  9. Thanks rd2rk.. I think I'd be better off without the Axe. haha No issue (yet) on the latency "feel" but I have noise. I was taking it as a normal noise from my drive pedals. I better check when I get back.
  10. Thank you for that suggestion. Just to clarify. Connect the Axe FX stereo send to the stereo input of the HX Effects Connect the stereo output of the HX Effects to the Axe FX stereo return Connect the input & send of the HX Stomp to one of the HX Effects loops The hx effects send/return has only one jack for each fx loop. Do I need to use a TRS jack from hx effects send then split it into two TS cables going to Stomp's input L and R? Connect the return & output of the HX Stomp to the other HX Effects loop Same as above, do I need to use a TRS jack from hx effects send, split it into two TS cables going to Stomp's return jack L and R? Not sure if the hx effects send/return jacks take TRS..
  11. Hi Guys, I am not a guru on any of the technical stuff hence I am writing this to get advices and to know if I am doing it right. Connecting both my Axe Fx ultra together with my HX stomp + HX Effects.. The goal is to combine 4 amps available in both modelers to see if it will sound better. Please check the images below... - Let me know if this is okay or if there is a better way of hooking it up? - Do I need to use something like goodwood audio stuff in any of the outputs? - Will there be any phase cancellation issues since these are just modelers? Note: - The HX Effects is placed first so I can use Delay and Reverb or any effects before and after the Amps in the Stomp. The Amps and cab already eats up 4 blocks in the stomp so... - Stereo from Axe Fx to the Sends and Returns of the Stomp and HX Effects Thank you in advance. Here's how it looks like in my Axe Fx. The FX loop block is where the HX Stomp and HX Effects were connected. Dry signal is in Level 1, panned at center. Wet signal is in Levels 3 and 4, panned hard Left and Right.
  12. Thank you for your suggestions.
  13. That worked for me. Thank you for this. I think it's with the certificate that has expired.
  14. That worked for me. Thank you. I think it's an issue with the certificate.
  15. That is also worth a try. But I am trying to do the wet/dry/wet kind of setup.
  16. Thanks. This is good info. I am trying to setup a wet/dry/wet signal. Axe Fx as the dry signal (no effects, using the same amp in the stomp). Stomp as wet signal will have the delays and reverb and will be panned L and R. Both modelers will go to a mixer.
  17. I got an error when logging in to my account via HX Edit. The app is saying "Cannot reach servers. Please make sure this computer is connected to the internet." Tried it with Windows 10. Downloaded the HX Edit 2.92. I was able to login but it does not proceed to backup the device after clicking OK on the dialog box. Nothing happens. What is going on?
  18. Hello. I just want to throw this question out there. Can I use a Y splitter to route my direct guitar signal into two modelers? Aside from HX Stomp, I also have the old Axe Fx Ultra. I' thinking of splitting the signal before it hits the input of these modelers. I've read there are some hum and phase cancellation going on if you do that, but those are for real amps. Thank for your help.
  19. I guess I am not the only one having this issue.
  20. Got the same problem. Anything you did that made it work? I am assuming this is something to do with server update but if you did something, please let me know. Thanks
  21. Anyone got this error when trying to update to the latest firmware? I am connected to the internet and is able to login to my account via chrome. HX Edit is on 2.92 version.
  22. Hello All. I would like to ask for advise on the impedance, input and output setting of both my helix's. Please note there are 2 overdrives in front. My signal path: **Guitar > Mosky Loop Box (Blues Breaker Clone > Walrus Mayflower) > HX Effects In (+Tone Sovereign) > HX Effects Send 2 > HX Stomp In (+Amp 1 and Amp 2) > HX Stomp Send > HX Effects Return (+ Delays and Reverbs) > HX Effects Out 1 & 2 > HX Stomp Return L & R (+ Reverb) > HX Stomp out L & R to FOH. **HX Effects Send 1 goes to the input of the Axe Fx Ultra which is setup with the same amp as the Stomp > FOH (Left only). I'm trying to achieve wet/dry/wet setup. :) Advises on how to hook it up are welcome as well. Thanks in advance.
  23. I got the tempo figured out. It turned out the tempo was not at #64 so I had to change the cc message on the hd500. I was on #14 previously as I was using the hd500 to control the axe fx.
  24. Additional query.. So, I had the hd500 controlling the stomp except for two things: 1. Tempo - not communicating. Is there a setting I need to be changing in the stomp? Stomp is not doing anything when I step on the HD500's tempo. 2. Preset Reset **A little bit of background how I set it up.. - HD500 controls the change of presets in the stomp (i.e., FS1 = 01A, FS2 = 01B, FS3 = 01C, FS4 = 02A) > On preset 01A, I've added an OD and Delay, but are off by default (only used when needed...effect on/off is controlled via HX Stomp FS1 and FS3) > In order for me not to tap dance, especially when both are ON, I wanted to just step on HD500's FS1 to reset the settings back to OD/Delay off > However, it's not doing it. I have to turn them off one by one. Stepping FS1 twice does not reset the settings back. Thanks in advance. @rd2rk - is that what you are referring to on your #2 statement?
  25. Thanks. Hope I won't stress myself. haha
