  1. Thank you for this!
  2. Thank you very much for your assistance. I did find that some IR's were not loaded and some global settings I need to set. But apart from those anything I need to be aware of?
  3. Thank you! Problem solved via manual update. I wonder what could be the issue in the HX Edit. Question, is it fine to load/import the setlist rather than restore from backup? Stupid me I did not do the backup I only exported the setlist thinking that was a backup.
  4. Hey, It's an old firmware foro the stomp (3.15) and I also installed the newer version of the HX Edit beforehand. I'll try to uninstall everything and do it all over again. Edit: Uninstall + Registry deletion > Reinstall did not work. It's also the same on my HX Effects.
  5. Here we go again. Got this error when I tried to update to the latest firmware. I also got this error way back 3 years ago and I thought this has been fixed. I am connected to the internet, logged in to my account on all browsers I have in my computer, tried to log in and do the same steps on my other computer - yet I still got the error. Laptops used: Dell ultrabooks, Windows 10 I am definitely connected to the internet. Your help is very much appreciated.

    FX Loop

Thank for clarifying. Gotcha. I don't have any of that. Only feedback when using high gain amp. And only when I plug it in an amp (some venue don't have any direct setup).

    FX Loop

The trick worked. The ping pong delay is now heard both ears. Thank you! Can you share with me the reason for this issue? So in the future I know what to do. Thanks for the tip on the send/return. Your advise on the hiss/noise explained why I got the feedback when I changed the amp to archetype... The feedback won't go away unless the gain is pretty low. I may have to consider the routing you suggested, only if I can add delays and reverb together with dual amps + IR in the stomp without the DSP limit - remains to be seen. Again, thank you for your help.

    FX Loop

The HXFX output goes to the return of the stomp. So it won't affect the amps in the stomp. It will only affect the Dyn and Mod. It is the HXFX send that goes to the input of the stomp, before the amps. So I guess, that is what I should be setting to LINE? My apologies, I've updated another "DO" stomp patch as I noticed there was no FX Loop block but an EQ instead. I also uploaded a new stomp photo to show the correct block used. Will this change any of the advised you guys have given? So you won't have to scroll up and down, I'm uploading the image below:

By the way, do I need to set all the outputs/inputs to line level since I am connecting both units? I also go direct to mixer.

    FX Loop

Thank you @Schmalle. Unfortunately, I will be able to hear this when I get home. Forgot to bring cables and the headphone adaptor. I'll let you know how this goes. Is my hx stomp all okay? Thank you as well @datacommando for the detailed explanation.

    FX Loop

I tried to play around with the FX loop in the HXFX and tried this setup (see attached). I can now hear the ping pong on the left and right speakers. But it would cost me another block than the previous FX Lopp L/R which is only one block. Stereo.hlx

Thanks for your reply. Attached the stomp and hxfx presets. And some screenshots on how I set it up. HX Stomp Fierce.hlx DO.hlx

    FX Loop

Hi.. Just need some advise on the stereo fx loop. I utilized all the ins and outs of both HX FX and Stomp (see routing below) so I will be able to put effects, delay and reverb, before and after the amps/cabs. I also have the studio compressor and parametric eq in the stomp at the end of my chain before going to the output. I use dual amps and cabs (IR) also. I know this will get me the latency but I am okay with that. If there is another option to avoid this with the option to have delay/reverb before the amp, I'd go for it - but not to the point of buying an LT :) My routing below: Guitar > Comp > Overdrives > Vol Pedal > HX FX Input left > HX FX Send (send 1&2) > Stomp Input (L&R) > Stomp Send (stereo, trs cable split to two ts) > HX FX Return (return 1&2) > HX FX Out (L&R) > Stomp Return (L&R)> Stomp Out (L&R) > Mixer Here are my questions: 1) I want to know if I am using the fx loop properly or not as I have some issues with the delay. Using the stereo fx loop L/R doesn't get me a ping pong on my studio speakers. The repeat stays on one speaker. Am I missing something? 2) Do I need to use line level on the ins and outs of both stomp and HX FX? I can also send my patches here if need be. Thanks in advance for your help.
  14. Thank you kind sir. Trying to have a wet/dry/wet kind of setup. Maybe there is a better approach? I don’t know. Still have an old Axe Fx Ultra lying around so… :) Edit: I use a lot of delays and reverbs in my patches hence I’ve added the hx effects to the chain. The stomp can’t give me that. And I’m also using dual amp on the stomp.
  15. Hi guys. Maybe someone can chime in to this query?
  16. Hey Silverhead.. Please see attached image.. I did the whole rig.. So I have 3 outs, one mono (DRY) signal coming out from Axe FX direct to FOH, then stereo (L&R) from Helix to the FOH.. The green highlight is the AXE FX connection..the blue HX Effects.. and gray, the Stomp.. One arrow represents mono, two arrows stereo..
  17. Hi. Just wondering if I’m doing it right. I have both the fx and hx stomp which are being connected via 4cm. Am I going to set all ins and outs as Instrument Level or is there somewhere in the loop that I need to set as line? Thanks in advance for your help.
  18. Thank you. That solved the problem.
  19. I know there are threads about this and I was able to make it work by assigning cc messages to the hx stomp. Thank you for those info. But what I wanted to do is while I am on snapshot mode in HXFX, it can also change the snapshot in the hx stomp. I haven't figure out a way to make this work. Is it possible?
  20. Hey @Bigpapajake, were you able to get it to work? I have the same problem. It can work by assigning cc messages (pressing mode button after selecting a preset)but not on the snapshot mode.
  21. Hey @rd2rk Will there be an AD/DA conversion from hx effects to hx stomp and vice versa?
  22. Thanks rd2rk.. I think I'd be better off without the Axe. haha No issue (yet) on the latency "feel" but I have noise. I was taking it as a normal noise from my drive pedals. I better check when I get back.
  23. Thank you for that suggestion. Just to clarify. Connect the Axe FX stereo send to the stereo input of the HX Effects Connect the stereo output of the HX Effects to the Axe FX stereo return Connect the input & send of the HX Stomp to one of the HX Effects loops The hx effects send/return has only one jack for each fx loop. Do I need to use a TRS jack from hx effects send then split it into two TS cables going to Stomp's input L and R? Connect the return & output of the HX Stomp to the other HX Effects loop Same as above, do I need to use a TRS jack from hx effects send, split it into two TS cables going to Stomp's return jack L and R? Not sure if the hx effects send/return jacks take TRS..
  24. Hi Guys, I am not a guru on any of the technical stuff hence I am writing this to get advices and to know if I am doing it right. Connecting both my Axe Fx ultra together with my HX stomp + HX Effects.. The goal is to combine 4 amps available in both modelers to see if it will sound better. Please check the images below... - Let me know if this is okay or if there is a better way of hooking it up? - Do I need to use something like goodwood audio stuff in any of the outputs? - Will there be any phase cancellation issues since these are just modelers? Note: - The HX Effects is placed first so I can use Delay and Reverb or any effects before and after the Amps in the Stomp. The Amps and cab already eats up 4 blocks in the stomp so... - Stereo from Axe Fx to the Sends and Returns of the Stomp and HX Effects Thank you in advance. Here's how it looks like in my Axe Fx. The FX loop block is where the HX Stomp and HX Effects were connected. Dry signal is in Level 1, panned at center. Wet signal is in Levels 3 and 4, panned hard Left and Right.
  25. Thank you for your suggestions.
