An arrow to the knee aye? You adventurers and your risk laden ways! :D -
Not this trolling idiot again. No more responses. He/She has done this thread before and endless people felt the need to feed him/her. Please no more people.

why do we enable trolls on here? Endless posts responding to trolls and sometime very few posts to people with genuine questions and issues...

I think this looks a nice mid range option but I can see from the little demos and lit that at launch at least its not on par with Helix. Queue the comparison videos between this new device and all the regulars. Endless regurgitated fanboy insults ahoy!

You have installed the Helix drivers right?
-
Firstly where are you reading these values from? I'm on Win10 and I record via the Helix 24/48. Also itunes isn't a DAW so I'm wondering what you are on about regarding this. What DAW are you using? What other gear are you using in your setup? Cheers S

Has anyone tried to mix a tune yet with Helix on board fx?

This is entirely possible however I'm certain you won't get the flexibility of plugins and the effort track by track to re-record will be massive. You can't just adjust the effect like with a plugin; you will have to adjust and re-record maybe multiple times if you don't get the result you are after. I am however very interested in how you get on and for what it's worth good luck m8. -
I use Beyerdynamic DT880pro headphones at 250 ohms. These are crystal clear and the Helix has a ton of juice to throw at them.

Beyerdynamic DT 880 pro (250 ohm) ^^ These are great and I would say more apt as reference cans than the closed back DT 770s which I think can sound boxy. All down to budget I guess.

Sorry all, yes scale is the correct term and its on the stereo model. I R IDIOT! Cheers ;)

Altering Spread changes the voicing aswell.

Cool beans. I'm surprised more people haven't investigated this seeing as loads of folk were asking for a Mimiq effect to be added!
-
Maybe buy a second Helix to run along side the other one? :D

Steevo is fine ;-)

Not sure this is the case. I tested this and there was no volume drop. I think there may have been something else at play to cause this. Might be wrong but I can't see that Line 6 would have a global headphone setting of multi doubling your output. You would want multi to be the setting for general use as there are a great many routing options beyond xlr and 1/4".

The manual is a great well layed out reference. Looking at web references on the modelled item or a clone of said item sends you in the right direction for settings. I do like books though and if the Helix manual was a tome I would dig in so DI if you fancy burning the midnight oil then fire on...but make sure you drop some random stuff in there to give us a laugh!

I've tried to recreate that in Helix and hit a limit on CPU...maybe you are on to something!

Yup not bad at all.

Quite an interesting little easter egg this, give it a shot. Pitch at zero Cents +/- around 1.5 to give a variance 20-30ms delay 20% feedback Adjust mix and Spread to suit (I had mix at 30-40% and spread around 50%) I tried the mono one and stereo one before the amp but the best results came from placing it after the IR/Cab or between the Amp and IR/Cab I did try multiple pitch echo blocks with slightly different configs in tandem however not sure I appreciated the outcome quite the same. Obviously this isn't the same as a Mimiq pedal but it's similar and WAY better than the HAAS style effect of using LR panning and a 20-30ms digital delay.

I still have my HD500X which I need to sell ASAP. I upgraded to it from an X3Live which I really enjoyed. The HD was VERY disappointing and I found a lot about it very annoying. I made the leap to the Helix and it's night and day. Although there is no Workbench integration (as yet) it caters better for Variax overall. The sonic quality difference as well as the increase in routing options is worth it alone in terms of a home studio setup. I couldn't go back. I have played more guitar since I got the Helix than at any time in my 39 years. If you get a Helix spend time with it and get to know what combos work well together. You won't be disappointed.

I need a Red Stag with ice...and maybe some snacks.
