I have a POD XT and find that mostly all the clean presets produce a crackling noise with every note/chord I hit. Some are worse than others, and the best just have minimal crackling. Has anyone else noticed this or could it just be my unit? It's really old and seems to be dying.. first the preset selection knob stopped working and now the display is broken. The only way I can change/edit the tones is via Line 6 Edit. I'm tying to remember if this has always been a problem or something that's started recently. I haven't used this XT for years. I just began playing around with it again when my guitar amp died.

Hi. I have a problem. Maybe someone has the answer. Since i use my PodGo, i have a lot a crakles and noise in my DAW. If i change my buffer size (extra small or extra large) it change nothing. My cpu is right (17% used) I had a PodHD before with the same computer and the same DAW and the problem was not there. So, it seems to come from the Podgo driver. It occurs only within the daw (cubase 10)... Thank you... and the last uptade is done (version 1.12)

I have a Variax 300 electric guitar which I am powering with an XPS Mini. The guitar has been working decently so far (with some crackling issues with some of the modes), however, recently I have started having the issue of no sound coming out of the amp when I play. Once I unplug and replug the cable the sound comes back, but only for a minute or so. Due to the current lockdown I cannot really seek professional help but I really want it to work again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are a number of products available to clean pots and faders. One is 99% Isopropyl. DeOxit D5 or one of the other Cramolin brand pot cleaners works well. Also, Tri Chem makes/made a plastic safe contact cleaner for pots and there's Blue Shower by Techspray, L.P. Pull the plastic knobs up first. Spray onto a cotton swab and let it drip down the shaft. Work the pot to work in the cleaner. Canned air is good for blowing dust off and getting the cleaner to dry quickly. Do not use WD40, that will just gunk up over time.

Hi all I need you advice please I've found a used pod 2.0 for sale. The guy says that - the left volume channel crackles a bit' when he touches it, but the right channel is okay-. In your opinion should I be concerned about this or is it something that could be solved with 3 in 1 electronics contact cleaner? Thanks Cralollipop

Hi. On my Variax 600 the tone of the G-String temporary fades away to 10% and crackles. If I hit the bridge with my palm several times and/or let the string slap hard everything can be fixed and the tone reanimates. I know there are problems described with sweat and dirt, polluting the piezo. Also there are issues with grounding or loose cable-connections. Can somebody please give me a hint or provide some links so I can figure out some solutions?

So, Ive had this hd desktop unit for a while now and have been fighting to destroy a crackle that seems to always be present in high gain settings. I play metal, the sound I am referring to sounds like a broken speaker, I play mostly through headphones and use this unit to jam late at night so as not to disturb neighbours. my problem is that I have even tried downloading patches of all types and they ALL have this annoying crackle behind the main distortion, not that I can hear it my ears pick up on it quickly. anybody have a remedy for this? it seems to only be on high gain patches, or anytime I push an amp with distortion, even mildly. clean tones don't exhibit this characteristic at all..

I've owned my M13 for 2 years now and I absolutely love it.. My favorite multi-fx unit by far. I've never had any problems with it (besides replacing the power adapter 1 week ago) until yesterday. I went to band practice and rigged my M13 up like usual and turned it on and everything was acting normal as usual but when I plugged my guitar and started playing the weirdest things started happen.. 1.) The M13 doesn't give me any fx at all ! If I turned on the delay = no delay.. If I turned the distortion = no distortion.. If I turned on the chorus = no chorus. You get the point... Whatever FX I put on the M13 would just give me a clean signal.. The FX shows up on the LCD screens like usual and M13 showes them like they are ON but I only get a clean signal. The M13 looks like it's working just right but it doesn't produce any effects at all. 2.) Every time I change effects my signal dropps out for about 1 second and these terrible clicks and pops follow when the signal gets back in.. And when the signal comes back in it's always a clean signal. It never adds the effects I turn on to the signal. I've tried 3 different guitars, 3 different amps, 6 different jack cables, 2 brand new Line 6 power adapters and the unit in 3 different houses but the it's always the same. I only get clean signal from it, no effects whatsoever. I always connect my amp to the mono output on the M13 and then from the mono M13 input to my guitar. I had the 2.04 firmware installed when this happened and I did a factory reset hoping it would fix the problem but it didn't. I've already sent the unit for repairs to the guy here in Iceland that's working for the company that sells Line 6 products but he already told me that he doesn't believe he can fix this.. He said it must have something to do with the digital part inside (the computer) and he isn't able to fix that. So what should I do ? Can you guys think of any solutions or fixes for this problem ? - Fannar
