Brand new mkii, loving all the updates and features. I’m attempting to setup a few presets - writing over the factory presets with different patches. I’m doing this with the expression pedal unplugged and getting the patch dialed in perfectly (have not yet assigned any parameters to the exp yet). I plug in the exp pedal in, follow the instructions in the manual exactly, but the pedal is already changing parameters I didn’t touch (like tweak and tweez, which I don’t want assigned to the exp). What is most frustrating is the exp pedal is resetting my TEMPO to the saved tempo. I can leave the exp pedal parked and tap a new tempo, but as soon as I touch the exp pedal the tempo reverts. Again, this is after dialing in a fresh patch, and trying to start “from scratch.” Any help would be appreciated.

If you are having trouble with your DL-4 MkII stompbox modeler, please try the following: - Use a different guitar, cables, and amp to make sure they are individually working correctly. - Remove all other pedals between your instrument and the amplifier. Ensure that: - The cables you are using to test work correctly by plugging directly from the instrument into the amplifier. - All jacks and nuts on the pedal are tight. - The unit is receiving sufficient power from the correct power supply (fresh batteries or a Line 6 DC-3g, DC-3h or DC-1g). Do not use old batteries to test pedals. - Reset the pedal by pressing the A and 'Tap' footswitches while inserting the power connector and powering on. Continue to hold the switches for approximately 8 seconds, until you see the green LEDs light up. - The last thing to try is to reinstall the firmware. Go to https://line6.com/software/index.html, choose "DL4 MkII" and "Firmware" from the menus, then follow the directions listed with the latest firmware entry. If you are still having difficulty you will need to have the unit repaired at an Authorized Service Center. All Line 6 Pedals carry a 12 month parts and labor warranty from the date of purchase from an Authorized Retailer. Please take a copy of the dated proof of purchase to ensure the warranty is covered. Hey so I bought my Line 6 DL-4 a couple of months ago used from reverb. When I first got it it worked like a charm and I had no issues. As I kept using it I would save some delay presets and jam with them for a while and then use the factory reset to erase them so I could keep exploring all of the possible effects. Well after a couple of months of use I went to yet again factory reset it by holding the A and the D buttons with the guitar input unplugged. The DL-4 would flash the lights as if it had been reset but none of the presets are erased! If I am missing something or anyone has any ideas on what I could do to fix it that would be great!

Hi! I have a line 6 Dl-4. It died on me a few times. i am way passed the warranty so i decided to open it up. i saw that one of the diodes was burned out and i replaced it. foudn the info online. it was the 3.6v zener diode right by the power input. while i was doing this i jolted due to a door slamming and i ended up breaking off another component. it is U64 i beleive. tiny little guy. cant read anything on it. wanted to see if anyone knew what this was, how i can replace it, am i totally screwed etc. theres a decent electronics store nearby. just need to know what i'm looking for. i also called line 6 and the guy on the phone couldn't tell me what it was. he said i can send it in to fix it at $90/ hour plus parts. thats a bit steep. i can just get a different pedal at that point. i've had two dl-4's and have sent them in about 4 times now. they keep breaking down and are a bit unreliable. so maybe its time to upgrade. but any info is appreciated. thanks.
