  1. Hi, My Helix output is clipping and I want to resolve it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The following is going on: I have a preset with a minotaur + sovereign distortions, both mild distortion and not set on very heavy settings -> Fender twin (channel + Master on 10) -> split block Path A: Twin Cab, Reverb, EQ. (output left) Path B: Phaser, Mystery Filter, Delay, reverb, EQ. (output right) Input Pad is on. I play a stratocaster with singe coils into the unit. Headphones are Beyrdynamic DT 990 Pro 250 Ohm Path B is clipping. When I turn off the MysteryFilter, clipping lessens but still happens. With both the Filter and the Phaser turned off, clipping is no longer the case. Is this just too much or shouldn't the clipping appear? thanks for any thoughts/solutions.
  2. Hey guys, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjmTf31MAe8 Not sure what effect this is, does anyone know? Also, I assume this type of effect can have the tempo adjusted accordingly to suit? Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, is this effect available on the Helix? The effect comes in at around the 0:16 mark.. To me, it’s not quite flanger/not quite phaser.. kinda like a helicopter, or something.. Thanks.
  3. I've done a short demo of the stuff I've been playing with on the $50 ST Micro ARM 7 eval board: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OoRuUit7FyM Enjoy! ChewingAluminum(Foil)
  4. Still very surprised that there is still no phaser in Mobile Pod. I was hoping for one in the update - a version of the MXR Phase 90 would be nice. Just surprised that there is no phaser of any kind in Mobile Pod - what does everyone else think?
  5. Is there a way to use any of the mod effects like phaser, chorus, flanger with tap tempo? I set "Tempo Select"='Global' but my mod effects don't seem to follow it. Many effects with "Rate" could have a parameter to indicate "Tap" or "Preset" which would determine if the "Rate" is to be set according to the tap tempo or the preset's "Rate" setting. That way all of the effects and delays could follow the tap tempo where desired. Is there a way to do this?
  6. I have noticed that the effect sound for the 70's Chorus and ScriptModPhase are strongest at the 50% "Mix" parameter level. This does not make any sense to me. On most non-Helix effects when you turn up the mix level, you get less direct guitar and more affected signal. At 100% you get the most effect available in the output. On the Helix, turning up the "Mix" to 100% decreases the effect signal to almost zero, such that the chorus or phaser sound pretty much disappear. Turning the "Mix" to 0% also results in almost zero (which is what I would expect). I am using the XLR (left) mono ouput direct to my mixing board. I brought this issue up in the Bugs topic and got a couple of good speculations as to why the "Mix" parameter is operating this way but I am still unsure as to whether this is a bug or not. This does not seem to be normal behavior. Can Line6 please weigh in on why the chorus, phaser, and I presume several other (all?) effects are showing this behavior. If it is intentional, what is the difference between running the "Mix" parameter at for instance 25% versus 75%? How is the "Mix" parameter implemented on the Helix?
